Superb food, wonderful service. It was my wife's birthday and the server brought out the dessert with a candle, a nice touch. Luc is a fun, entertaining place to visit and enjoy the superbly prepared food.

Graciously welcomed by owners who expressed their appreciation of our business. Luc is a neighborhood gem. Great cocktail and wine list.

Enjoyed our lunch very much. The service was excellent. we loved the beignets and my crepe was delicious.

Truly a gem of a restaurant. The cocktails and Hamma Hamma oysters were divine. The French onion soup is the best ever. Diver scallops on little beds of polenta....yum.

I love Luc! It is our go to restaurant for celebrations. That said, I was disappointed in the French onion soup which is usually one of my favorite dishes. The soup seemed to be thickened with something that I hadn’t had before and detracted from the consistency and flavor. The bread on top was burned. The cheese at the bottom was, as usual, yummy. The scallops and pot de creme were delicious.

Food was excellent, as always. Disappointed that they were out of their potato crisps when we arrived, especially since I had tried in the Open Table reservation to request that they hold an order for us. Possibly operator error on my part. Lesson: Telephone for reservation.

I was delighted to introduce my children to Luc. The homey French food was gobbled up quickly and we all had a grand time. Highly recommend as a cozy spot for a special occasion or just a fun night out.

We went for Sunday brunch and had smoked steelhead omelette and beef bourguignon. Both dishes were excellent. We shared a carafe or the house red, which was very decent. Our waiter was attentive, service was very good. We will certainly return.

We started our evening at the bar and were totally blown away by bartender Nathan. He is knowledgable, quietly entertaining and very personable, warm & welcoming. If we hadn't been with an elderly friend, we would have happily ate at the bar. Once in our booth for dinner, service was excellent, food was sublime (especially the French onion soup, Trout Amendine and Steak Frites), and, as we were celebrating a birthday but had no room for dessert, we were treated to a dollop of homemade whipped cream with a candle to accompany after dinner coffee. Luc is definitely a neighborhood gem! We'll be back!

What a disappointment. I’m a frequent Luc and Loulay customer for dinner. Tried brunch for my sisters birthday. Server was curt and not pleasant. Food came was cold, but there was no one to help us. Our never came over to check on how meal was, refill coffee, or to send back cold food. So we just plowed through. I asked who the manager was and and assistant manager came over, I told him food was cold, and that our server has never been by once. He said ok and walked away. Then our server came over, handed us the bill and said ‘ we are discontinuing brunch service’ starting in March. No surprise.
Luc - do better! Try harder!

Luc rarely disappoints. Their Valentine menu was lovely: We started with a crab salad, had totally yummy scallops for our main course (just briny enough) and a sinfully rich chocolate caramel cake for dessert. The price was very reasonable too, for a holiday meal.

Food is usually exceptional. My salad however seemed as if it were never washed. Very gritty. My fault for not sending it back. However, everything other than salad was exceptional.

Wonderful across the board as usual!

Went there for anniversary dinner and was very disappointed. My wife wanted a drink off the happy hour menu, but it was not possible because we sat at a table. So we order the drink off the full price menu and the drinks were horrible! The house wine was good but the cocktails was not. Oh and do not order the chicken liver pâté, i had many pates in my life and this one was like baby puke! It was disgusting. The French beef and carrot dish was actually good and it did remind me of France. But the almond trout dish was very dry. All in all very disappointing dinner and no greeting or anything after the initial acknowledgement that it was an anniversary dinner reservation. Very disappointing! Will not return !

It was a pleasure to return after not visiting Luc for a year or so. I had forgotten how good it was. I'll be back!!

The food was super tasty! I really enjoyed their harissa hollandaise for the brunch special, and our table got multiple dishes. The Benedict was by far a hit.

With a nice place like Luc, it would be nice to have a complementary basket of bread at the table.

Love Luc! What a not-so-secret gem! Service is always good and inevitably there is a discovery to be found by exploring the menu. Have to go back frequently enough to avoid missing something unique, only available fo a limited time...

Luc is in a cute neighborhood that I will have to explore more of. The food and the restaurant itself are quite charming. We opted not to try the pre-fixe meal, and instead ordered the Lyonnaise salad which was fresh with a perfectly poached egg on top, Clams with chorizo and couscous pearls, it was a heaping amount of clams to share and the broth was seasoned well, lastly we had the steak frites, another well executed dish, tender, perfectly medium rare, fries crispy buy not too crunchy. We thought about dessert but were certainly too full to truly enjoy it. We will be back again, maybe to try out their brunch!

From experience, we have come to rely on Luc to be outstanding in every way. It didn't disappoint.

We chose Luc to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The table that was reserved for us was lovely. Both the server and hostess were very unfriendly. I think maybe they thought we should have ordered alcohol or dessert but we had cake at home and we’re driving so did not want alcohol. We were disappointed but the food was amazing!

The service was to be desirable, food was ok-- not the best, and certainly not the worst. I recommend avoiding the prefix menu. I didn't think it was worth it.

Great New Year celebration. Food was limited due to the fixed menu but it was delicious. Our server was excellent. Fun night. I’ll be returning soon.

I’m really sad to write this review as we have been coming to Luc for years. We were there with friends for NYE and we won’t be going back. We weren’t there for New Year’s last year but we had been there for the few years prior with a big group and always had a great time. Our server rushed us through our meal and she clearly wanted to close us out so she could leave. When we asked her if she had another table after us (we were seated at 8:30), she answered very rudely that no she did not and that they “weren’t doing a toast or anything anyway and the restaurant would be empty by 11”. There was no mention on their web site or in the newsletter that they were no longer doing a toast or any celebrations at midnight, so we expected it would be the same as our prior visits. Had we known this before booking we would have made other plans, but at that point it was about 10:45pm and we didn’t want to fight traffic trying to find somewhere else to go. The manager Lucas came over and apologized for the misunderstanding and did his best to make it right. Unfortunately our server’s surly attitude cast a shadow on the night and the food was also sub-par to what we’re used to from Luc. The portions were tiny and the descriptions on the pre-fixe menu were far more interesting than the reality. We did end up moving to the bar around 11:45 where there were still a few other parties and Lucas was kind enough to pour champagne for everyone. He did his best to redeem the night, but it was hard to ignore that the whole vibe of the place has changed for the worse and we won’t be making the trek from West Seattle anymore.

We had another wonderful dinner at LUC. Laura was so nice and helpful when we had to switch around our New Year’s Eve reservation. We were seated in a lovely booth by the window. It was magical watching the restaurant lights reflecting in the window. We had reserved their cote de Boeuf for 2. The meal started with their amazing French fries. These fries are so delicious., amazing how crispy they are. Next came the Cote de Boeuf. If was cooked perfectly, was tender and flavorful. The Brussel sprouts and fried potato balls were also scrumptious.

Lovely, relaxing dinner with excellent food, and nice service. Can’t wait to go back!

I am a big fan of The Chef In The Hat and was glad to see that Luc would be hosting a New Years Eve dinner with both a 3-course option and 32oz cote-de-beouf, which I'd never tried! Invited some friends along and brought a couple fine wines - 2008 Dom Perignon and a 2008 Quilceda Cab. The dinner was excellent - every dish - and the service was good. For the 40+ crowd this is a great choice for a holiday dinner. Not too loud, no kids (I mean the adult type) and a good value that's reliably tasty. Bravo!

Coq au vin, nothing special. Seemed cooked ahead and reheated...barely warm...onion soup meh and barely warm, beef bougione nothing special, pork chop, outstanding. Handmade vanilla ice cream...poor. You should have low expectations for the food but pleasant place if you want to spend $$$...
