Amazing food and tremendous setting. The food was delicious!
Great food with generous portions and all delivered with a smile and a warm feel. Call ahead for your reservation as it is popular year around. Loved the hightop table with the view outside!
Miss those sweet potatoes
Low Country Kitchen - Steamboat was one of the best dinners we’ve had in the 4 years we’ve lived in Denver. Fantastic fried chicken — worth every calorie! Friendly, professional service, a real treat.
Amazing food, super cute restaurant, I felt like I was down south in the Low Country! The staff is very welcoming. Kid friendly too! Get the fried chicken some of the best I have ever had.
We were sat for a full 15 minutes before anyone came by to take a drink order. Multiple staff members walked past us and did not acknowledge us. It was a full 30 minutes before we were served a drink Also, specifically chose regular seating in my reservation and the hostess tried to seat us at a high top. She seemed unaware of the choice on Open Table. The food did not make up for the poor service so not planning on going back. It’s a shame because the space is cute and the concept is a good one.
The fried chicken was delicious but the sides were cold. This location is much better than the old one. Will go back.
Now the best restaurant in Steamboat. Food is delicious and priced reasonably. We have returned recently and the food was outstanding again.
Excellent food. The fried chicken was good as grammas and the buttermilk biscuits were outstanding.
Great deal this time of year too, I would highly recommend the school night special.
George was very informative. I explained that I loved the home cooking but your chairs are terrible, hard and uncomfortable. Padded seats or cushions with would help. Seating on plank wooden seats with cold metal backs is a big mistake !!!
When a customer is relaxed and comfortable they usually order wine, good food and enjoy themselves.
Wonderful experience. Elevated Southern food with unique options beyond fried chicken. Beautiful, renovated, historical home creating a warm inviting atmosphere. Great tapas style happy hour options as wel!
One of best restaurants in Steamboat!! Great comfort food-
New location ROCKS
New location is much nicer than than being on Lincoln. The food and service remained top notch. Well done.
Off season in Steamboat is no reason to have slow inattentive service. Price seemed high...2 pieces of herb chicken on top of mashed potatoes were good but not for the price. Our party enjoyed the food overall but agreed Low isn't a "need to come back" place. Menu had few options so you better like grits. Apps seemed (and cost) more like main course. Location didn't give that 'low country' easy feel...a little too stuffy for what they are trying to portray. (Perhaps they should have stayed in their original location?) An overall pricey and disappointing experience.
MUCH MUCH MUCH TOO LOUD...WE HAD TO YELL TO TALK...SERIOUS PROBLEM...WE WON'T GO BACK UNLESS IT'S FIXED
I'm a local of Steamboat and had to bring my best friend here for a celebration! We were tucked in our own private corner so we were able to have great conversation. Excellent fried chicken, deviled eggs, and gumbo. Must recommend the pickle cocktail!
Lamb was a disappointment. Shredded with BBQ sauce. No way to tell it was lamb vs pork vs beef.
It was great! Although a solicitor came in which was very strange. Luckily management sent them on their way.
Awesome fried chicken! The new location is even better than the last.
We loved Low when it first opened Great food, great service. But the last few time we have been have been disappointing. This evening was one of the worst dining experiences we have had without actually walking out!
We had a 7 o'clock reservation, arrived on time, and waited in the entry for at least five minutes before anyone showed any interest in seating us. After we were seated, we waited quite a while for a drink order to be taken. By 8 o'clock, we pointed out to the person who had seated us that we had been there an hour and we're still waiting for our entrées. The beet salad, ribs and Mac and cheese were just OK. Brussels sprouts were not as advertised...just ok. Not one pepper grinder in the restaurant.
I asked for the jambalaya on the spicy side. It came out so hot as to be inedible. Literally, we were told 2 different chefs spiced it without coordinating. Apparently no one tasted it and the dark red/ brown color wasn't a tip off. I eat 5 alarm, this was a 10. The replacement dish came out loaded with okra (which I hate!) It is a classic ingredient in gumbo, not jambalaya, and was not present in the 10 alarm version. It also was not listed on the menu ingredients. When I pointed this out to our server, she was rather snippy, telling me that it always comes with okra. No, jambalaya does not come with okra, gumbo does. By this time my husband had finished his dry ribs, so we passed on the 3rd attempt.
What annoyed me most was the indifferent service and the ATTITUDE when the kitchen had made not one mistake , but 2. No apology. Just an offer to try again. It was a very long disappointing evening.
On the bright side, I had a wonderful mezcal/grapefruit cocktail (which our server discouraged as in her experience people don't like mezcal). I'm so glad I didn't listen to her. They also carry St. Pauly NA beer which is my sober husband's favorite brand.
Bottom line....kudos to the bar, but we won't bother to go back.
New location is great. Had the clams, fried chicken and deviled eggs all were great! Service was ok.
Loved the food: the shrimp and grits and collard greens were as good as any dish in Charleston! Great new historical location! Will definitely be back!
We live in Steamboat part time. Low has become our favorite restaurant. We've introduced many friends and guests as they visit us in Steamboat and everyone raves! The food, the ambiance, the wait staff and the bar tenders are all friendly, professional, and appear to love what they do. All the components of a great dining experience. Nice work!
Family reunion ski trip - couldn’t have been more fun
Best meal we had in Steamboat
A favorite local and visitor gathering spot.
Always a great meal! Love the new location!
Happy hour deals are what drew me in initially, but the quality of food/drinks, service, and atmosphere of the place have kept me coming back for more. Always a delightful experience!
We Love Low Country and the new location is great! However, we nearly froze to death the other night. I sat over a vent, that I finally threw a napkin over and laid my silverware on top to stop the breeze. Waiter did not seem concerned
LOVE the new space! Food was amazing, cocktails were killer, service amazing as always.
Great Happy Hour! Friendly staff and lots of interesting entrees. Really enjoy the fried chicken. Disappointed in the side dish of gravy as it was bland. Love the beet salad!
A cure for my craving. Although I was born and raised in Colorado, I lived in North and South Carolina for 12 years. There is nothing like Southern cuisine. It may not be the healthiest but it is absolutely delicious. Until I dined at Low Country Kitchen, I had not found a place to replicate these memories. It is a perfect combination of southern hospitality with delicious food.
Very good food, lovely historic setting, we would definitely come back.
Fabulous food. Great staff
A great dining experience! We added another person to our party at the last minute and they were very accommodating. Lived the decor and the interesting and delicious menu. Loved the craft cocktails, shrimp and grits, fried chicken and chicken biscuits.
Chicken and ribs were good just nothing exceptional
We love this place. Light airy atmosphere. Fantastic fried chicken, tasty collard greens, amazing selection of bourbon. Try an order of biscuits for the table - delicious!
Great, top notch, a truly unique dining experience.
