Food was excellent. Though the service was excellent, having one person take care of multiple tables meant our “turn” to order meal or dessert or questions or even pay bill was always buffered by “is it our turn yet?”. Otherwise it was a memorable experience.

We truly enjoyed our time at Louie’s. Overall we spent over two hours enjoying a very relaxing dinner. My wife and I shared a Sauvignon Blanc with their calamari appetizer which was very tender and not overly breaded. We also shared a Caesar salad with clams linguini in a light wine and butter sauce. The salad was very good but I would have preferred shaved Parmesan versus grated. The clams in the shells were very tender as were the abundant baby clams loose within the very tender linguini. Our waiter was extremely polite and let us enjoy ourselves by spacing the food as we requested. Excellent evening.

We have gone to this place over the years and this time definitely wasn’t the greatest. We did make reservations and were sat immediately. Our server was great . We didn’t get any bread and butter and my shrimp scampi was flavorless . Our food came out piping hot but that temperature over cooked the prawns and they were very rubber like . Again it was almost tasteless. The place was packed and very busy and loud ( expected for a Saturday night for sure ) which wasn’t a big deal . But the food was sub par

We had a lovely experience here. Will definitely go again. We enjoyed everything, food, service, and our outdoor table with a great view of the bay. And it was also kid friendly for our 2 kids.

We were seated almost immediately with our 6:00 pm reservation. Other people who didn’t have a reservation were all clustered around the host table. Our drinks, appetizer, and entrees all came out within 20 minutes within our order. The blackened rock cod I ordered was piping hot and delicious with a bit of spice in the seasoning, which I appreciate. My wife’s pasta was over cooked but the pomodoro sauce was good. The fried artichoke hearts could have used some additional seasoning as they were kind of bland, but they hit the spot since we were hungry. Had a beautiful view of the bay from our table. Based on the service and the food being good, we would return.

Excellent. One of us had the fried jumbo prawns, they were excellent as were the fries, piping hot and crisp. I had a salad and added grilled prawns. Delicious. The pear martini is also excellent.

The food came fairly quick and view of the peninsula from the North was exquisite. Watching sail boats and canoes was beautiful of a very clear sunny day. Love the Bread bowls deliciously prepared.

We love this place,especially since it's dog friendly outside. We take our fur baby everywhere with us and he is able to order his own meal too! They offer a dog menu. The food and drinks are good and the service is great!

Pro: They have good friendly service, and they turn their tables around quickly. It is also right on the water. Cheaper than most of the other restaurants near by. Con: Food is mediocre. Chicken pasta tasted like a frozen dinner. Shrimp Loui salad was something you might get at AppleBees or the like. Maybe we just got them on a bad kitchen right. Garlic bread was decent. Not a horrible experience, just know the food isn’t on par with surrounding restaurants. But if you are on a budget and/or don’t want to wait a long time for a table, it might work for you.

Service was definitely off. Took a long time for server to come to table then several people came within a few minutes. Food came out in less than 5 minutes. Then it took a long time to get our check. Seemed to be an off night. Very few outdoor tables. Food was ok but not great. With so many restaurants nearby. There are better choices.

We arrived after a long travel day and it was cold and wet. It was nice to have a hot bowl of delicious ciopinni and an amazing cesar salad. Seating looks right over the bay which was just what we wanted. Dress was casual which was just right too

We were quickly seated and very well taken care of by our server. Food appeared quickly - exactly what I was looking for. After a day dodging families at the aquarium, this was a quiet restaurant, lovely views and food choices for everyone. I especially enjoyed my clam chowder in a bread bowl and side salad. Thank you!!

Our server was very pleasant and took good care of our table. The quality of the food was the problem. I ordered a chicken dish. Because the chicken was overcooked and dry I ended up sending it back. We got garlic bread for the table and it was really too garlicky. My friend revered a pasta dish with shrimp. It was just okay.

Dinner with a view... This restaurant features a variety of seafood and pasta dishes. Wait time was short with reservations. If available, request a balcony/outdoor or table by the window and enjoy a spectacular view of the ocean. My husband and I enjoyed the food, service, drinks (try the tiramisu martini :-p) and even spotted a few marine life.

We expected More from such a highly rated Monterey restaurant. The "local caught cod" ..........was WAY more than a person could eat! TWO fillets, And the gigantic CHUNKS of broccoli, carrots, and zucchini were intimidating to say the least. And to boot, no deserts?! We had Said upon reserving, it was a birthday celebration. It certainly did not feel like one. Way overpriced, but that also is our experience in Monterey. Disappointing.

Food is lousy. Pizza is so bad. We had one piece each and brought left over home but ended up throwing. Not appetizing at all. Linguini clams was very blunt. Over all nothing was good.
