Lotus - Resorts World Catskills
nice restaurant. good food. the only complaint I have would be the seating. out of an empty restaurant I felt it was inappropriate to place another couple right next to us. people like to have private conversations.
the other couple also looked uncomfortable for the lack of personal space.
We had delicious food and great service. We plan on going back there soon.
Our server was fabulous. She checked in on us regularly, and the food was good. The only negative is that they reduced the portions and raised the pricing on a few items.
It was a cool experience. We will def go again!
We gave Lotus a second try with their new menu and we were pleased. Food was delicious and service was top notch. We plan on going back again.
The menu was interesting with some different options. I always rate a restaurant like this by its Hot and Sour Soup. It was outstanding here. Also the beef with peppers and onions was spicy and delicious. Also the pork dumplings were very tasty.
Good atmosphere and friendly service. The food however was expensive and bland not for everyone. Offering a children's menu might appeal to those who can't stomach everything on the menu.
Food was very good
We were very disappointed due to change in menu and pricing. Very expensive for poor quality and small portions.
They need to hire more bartenders. I was not a fan of the steam dumplings. I did enjoy the lemon chicken.
Seated on time. Prompt wait staff. Calamari app was tough, chewy. Rib app was very good. Scallop entre was on the mushy side. Fried rice was good. Lobster entree overpriced for amount of food received. No real desserts offered. Will stick to appetizers in the future.
Our waitress Winnie was fantastic, the food was good, and we had a nice time. It still has the feel of a restaurant in a casino, and the person who brought the food to our table (not our waitress) seemed clueless, so dishes arrived without sauces, etc.
Average menu with very few selections. Food was very salty and not well prepared
Food was excellent. Nice and quiet for conversation if on a date. Don't know if they served dessert as we weren't offered a dessert menu.
Too costly for asian food.
Delicious well made Asian food!! Super fresh. Our second time and did not disappoint! We will visit again!
Excellent food and options - the braised scallops were fantastic, as were the appetizers (all because we tried all!) and the Singapore Mei Fun was perfect. Try the Passion fruit Margherita!
Very tasty cuisine, but the service was a bit overbearing. The service wasn't horrible, but we were early diners and the attention was, at times, intrusive.
very happy with food and service, will be there again.
Very delicious food with a comfortable atmosphere. There was a pleasant wait server complimented by an attentive hostess. We enjoyed a nice meal before going to hear a past contestant of the VOICE, Caitlin Corporale, sing in the casino 360 Bar. I would recommend that you make a reservation as it was full the night we were there!
This was an usually good quality Chinese restaurant. The menu was mostly recognizable (so not Yuppie), but the portion size, quality of ingredients and preparation were all first class. Prices were not high considering the location and quality of food and service. The wonton soup was unusually good and was a meal in and of itself.
Great cocktails and service persons. Mushy Scallops...dumpster-dived Pork loin chops (street food burnt to salvage-needed to eat by hand) and each not worthy Entrees. Unique Calamari and steamed, stuffed Shrimp Appetizers. Overpriced vegetable option. No tea, etc. No dress code. Not a good dining choice except as last resort when everything else is closed!
We have visited the Lotus restuarant 4 or 5 times. We love the tasty food and selection, the atmosphere and great service.
On this last visit, our server was Winni, who is an excellent server. She makes good recommendatiions from the menu and is fast at responding to our needs. Sometimes it's difficult to find your server as they seem to diasapear after they take your order. Winni is always present and fast at providing good service.
The food was very bland. Did not enjoy Lotus st all. Overpriced for the amount of food. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!
The service was not commensurate with the prices.
Would have given a better rating but diamond shrimp dish came out of the kitchen with NO SAUCE!! Means someone is not watching for quality control..was quickly remedied hence the better rating for service.
The reason for the poor review was because the power was out at the location, and thus couldn't be served food.
I can not actually say how it was. It was a shame that we weren't able to experience it.
We chose this restaurant for their Peking duck as well as their Lobster tail with scallions for entrees. We were told it would take 45 min. for the duck. As we were waiting for the entrees, we ordered appetizers, we ordered pork spareribs (3), vegetable spring rolls and pork shumai. Note: we arrived only 1 1/2 hour after they opened. They opened at 5pm and our reservations were @ 6:30pm. They came back after we ordered the appetizers and said they had no more ribs. We accepted what they had available. Ok, after 45 minutes while we await for the duck & lobster, they came back and said they had no more Duck. I then ordered the Shredded Beef Dish. Moments, just moments later; they told my husband, they had no more Lobster. With that, almost 1 hour and a half of waiting we asked for the manager and expressed our frustration without any apology by the woman and we subsequently walked out. Such a terrible experience. at Lotus, if it wasn't for the Hotel Front Desk Manager, (Angelica) our night would have been a total disaster.
entrée came with nothing- had to buy rice
wouldn't go back
We never expected such a good meal at a casino. You could not hear the casino floor. Excellent food, large portions, very good and friendly service.
Excellent food fresh and very large portions
They didn't put too much thought into the ambiance here which was a disappointment, but the food was delicious. We ordered the shaved beef.
very disappointing with the service. It was my birthday and my boyfriend asked them to sing Happy birthday to me when desert came, as a surprise, which they agreed, and they never did.
will not go back
Service was great. Didn’t wait long to be seated.
Food was great.
Great food and great atmosphere - Wendy is our favorite waitress there
We are regulars at the Catskills Resorts World Casino and this is our favorite restaurant here. The food is authentic and delicious and the service is prompt and professional. Ask for Winnie if she's working. She's attentive, warm and helpful beyond expectation.
Nice food and service
Reservation honored and seated immediately...wait staff friendly and knowledgeable...food arrived as ordered...food preparation extremely quick.. quiet for a restaurant open to adjacent casino floor...food was very good... cooked to order...large portions for a reasonable price...a very nice dining experience and would certainly eat there again.
Appetizers were really good but dinner was horrible. Ordered pork dish .listed as tender pork nothing but pork far not one piece of meat. Fried rice was good. Parents had noodlenwith beef dish which was slightly better . We had wonton soup which my father liked and shrimp with dumpling which was good. Would have appetizers and rice if ever again but probably not going back.
The hot and sour soup was pretty good. The spare ribs weren't bad, but the beef dish was strange and kind of bland. The fried rice was awful. Firstly, it was white and full of seafood. It tasted very fishy. We told the waiter, who ordered us vegetable fried rice as a replacement. That was very bland. They need a better cook. I would not recommend this place at all!
