The Loring Cafe is an interesting experimental restaurant from restauranteurs Abby and Jason McLean. This is as much as public space as it is a restaurant. The Loring Cafe welcomes in artists of all types, displaying works by local painters and sculptures as well as hosting live music from local bands. It is meant to be a community centerpiece, somewhere with good food where people can come and relax and express themselves.The Loring Cafe's menu features dishes inspired from all over the globe. Some of the favorites on the menu included a spaghetti carbonara made with pancetta, garlic, cream, peas, egg, lemon, chili flakes and parmesan as well as mussels in bourbon with cilantro, basil, jalapeño, bacon, tomato, whiskey, bacon, cream and garlic fries. Other specialties include Israeli cous cous with lamb, bangers and mash, a Cubano sandwich and even hand-tossed pizza
