Great food and service!
Detroit classic- Bar service was slow perhaps due to Covid labor shortage. Cigar are was closed but is to open up on 10/18 according to staff.
This is a great place but the food was a little sub par. Loved the service and atmosphere. The added value of the Jazz singer and bass player was amazing. Overall this was a good meal with outstanding service and ambience. I would recommend this place to all.
Everything we expected. First class, fine restaurant.
Took my wife for our anniversary. Ford was great, live music was nice as well!
It was absolutely wonderful, the doorman was the first person that we came into contact with. He was very prompt and extremely professional and welcoming! Our waitress was nice and on top of everything, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be dining here again!
Everything was great, the lighting should be a little brighter for those of us with less than 20/20 vision....
The delicious food, the courteous service, the swinging music, and the Rat Pack Ambiance were everything we hoped for and more. A wonderful evening and so delighted to find a spot with class, old school charm and a beautifully diverse clientele. Thank you for preserving this fantastic Detroit tradition through these trying times.
Amazing as always! Excellent food and service. Filet was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Service was impeccable and made us feel so special. The food was next level- one of the best, if not the best steaks we have had! We will definitely be back
From start to finish the experience was incredible. Our waiter Pete was outstanding. The service and food was amazing. We can’t wait to go back.
I highly recommend London Chop House in Detroit. The service, beginning with the doorman, food and ambience were superb! We will definitely return to this fine restaurant when next in town.
The food is phenomenal and the ambiance transports you to another time. This wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience!
Always an outstanding meal and wonderful experience at The Chop House.
We came here on a Tuesday night for our anniversary and had the place to ourselves. It was cozy and romantic, and the food was outstanding. They even had a Japanese whisky my boyfriend was dying to try (that wasn't listed on the menu). The waitress, Lola, was great as well. It is pricey but was expected. Will definitely be back for celebration dinners!
The London Chop House was very nice. They had a four piece band with a female singer who was very good. The music started around 6 pm and they were still playing when we left at 8 pm. Service and the food were excellent. We would go again.
Excellent evening. We splurged with the caviar service - including blini- to start. Wonderful. The veal chop was excellent, perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. My husband's Australian waygu was also excellent. The Mac and cheese is very rich and cheesy and worth breaking a diet for. Mushrooms also excellent. It is a but on the pricey side, but worth it. Would definitely go back.
The atmosphere and service excellent however the food was ok
My wife and I visited London Chop House for her birthday. This was my first time there. We did valet which was very convenient. The doorman was awesome and kind, helping my wife out of the car and having an umbrella ready to protect her from the rain.
We were seated promptly, but our server had a rather large party he was handling and took quite some time to check in with us. We sat there for about 15 minutes before he could come and take our drink orders. He did apologize, and the rest of the evening was very good.
We ordered the wedge and a Caesar salad. Both were very good. We both ordered the bone-in ribeye. It was cooked to perfection. The béarnaise and au poivre accompaniments were delicious. The side of smashed potatoes was very good. The wine selection and cocktails were just right. All in all it was a great experience and I would certainly return.
Our server kept forgetting what we asked for and kept having to appologize.
The steak was extremely tough and definitely not worth the $65 it cost.
The baked potato was small and not fully cooked.
Not a good experience for the high cost.
Hi first off Dorian was very welcoming!!!I really enjoyed myself I was bringing my boo out for his birthday dinner and never been here before and i love it . I ordered double cut lamb chops and he had a Cowboy steak. We had our family with us her and her husband all they talk about was how your service was from the door to the kitchen to the table the drinks everything was Amazing. We will be back again! Thank you .
I enjoyed myself it was a 10 out of 10.
Excellent from the valet parking, door man service, through the escort into the location. The service was superior and music was not overwhelming so overall worth repeating.
My wife and I celebrated my 35th birthday at London Chop House. Visually the place is stunning ambience the live music was amazing not too loud just perfect for light conversation. The food was good but I honestly have to say for the prices I’ve had better. Unfortunately the same evening they had a large party in their very lavish Cigar room which ultimately delayed our food for over 45 minutes. Luckily we had the music and each other to keep us company. Our waiter was very courteous and apologetic about our experience but again unfortunately this wasn’t going to bring us back for another try.
When we did receive our food it was tasty but the stand out was how perfectly they cooked the scallops my wife would agree. I had the Lamb chops which were quite small and some smashed potatoes and scallops my wife had Lake perch and scallops.
Lastly all in all decent experience but not worth the $282 price tag wasn’t impressed.
Great ambiance, music, noise level, food was wonderful. Server was slower than past experiences here, prices appear to have increased.
I took my lady friend out to celebrate the opening of her new hair product line
Service was great, and drinks/appetizers (we compared east and west coast oysters)/salads/wine were outstanding. We were disappointed with the steaks, especially given the high prices. My wife had the small filet mignon, and I had the bone-in rib eye oscar style - both good but just not excellent.
Dessert and coffee ended our dinner, and again excellent.....so we will be back to try other entrees.
As any returning customer would expect, the experience was perfect !! Quiet surroundings, impeccable service and fantastic food. If not on your regular dinning out rotation, everyone should try it at least once !!
Perfect place for our 20th Anniversary! We were married in Vegas, and the Chop House has a similar feeling to the restaurant we ate at on our wedding night - cozy, vintage, moody, romantic, even a round red leather booth. The food was delicous and our waitress was so sweet. Loved the doorman who opened my door and led me by the hand into the restaurant. The short ribs were amazing and the martinis so good : )
Phenomenal food and atmosphere!
This restaurant was on our bucket list and it did not disappoint! From the doorman to the ambiance to the live music to the amazing food and service. It was a visit that we will not soon forget!
Wonderful dining experience. The food and service was excellent and we loved the musicians.
The atmosphere was wonderful and Brittany and staff were top notch. The food was incredible and selection was wide. We will definitely return and perhaps make it our Anniversary tradition.
The only concern was the disruptive table of 6 that clearly showed up after a golf outing wearing shorts and were very loud. My suggestion is to adhere to your dress code and that would have solved that issue for all the other guests celebrating anniversaries or looking for an elegant evening out - and at the price tag more than a reasonable request! Thank you again Brittany for the great service!
Our wait staff went above and beyond!!! What a great atmosphere to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary !!!
The veal chop was exceptional, as always!!
Great restaurant. The atmosphere was great, the music, the food, drinks, and service was awesome and on point.
This is the 2nd time we have come to London chop house for our anniversary dinner and it never disappoints. All the food was amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re back in the 1920’s. We’ll definitely be back!
It was a wonderful experience
Wow is all I can say! Went for a birthday dinner and I think will be an annual birthday dinner going forward.
Wonderful experience and we definitely will go back again. Worth every penny
