Lombardi's on the Bay
Love the capellini with clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp! Napoleon dessert was light and fluffy with fresh whipped cream. Excellent waiter, and manager came over a couple of times to make sure everything was good.
Very nice place overlooking the bay. Food and service both very good
Loved the food and the view ... the service was good as well
Was there several years ago and swore I'd never go back. Against my better judgement we went back. Big mistake. The food is just as bad as it was several years ago. I had the worst Salmon dish I've ever had. It was so over cooked - mushy and drenched in oil - disgusting. My husband had a 16 oz NYStrip - unfortunately - they never said it was bone in - so it was small and mushy. Both dishes had the worst presentation. A piece of wimpy lettuce was on each the plate as the decoration/garnish and the salmon dish had a lemon wedge wrapped in paper. This place is only interested in catering and their food reflects same. I could go on - but it's not worth it.
It was awsome and the waitress was great
The experience was amazing. The only fault was it was a nasty day outside and the dining room was really cold. I had to put my coat back on.
Not for the lunch special. the fish was dry and the pasta was over cook
Went here for restaurant week and really enjoyed the prefix menu, everything was so incredible. The service was also on point.
This is a beautiful place overlooking the water. The staff is very friendly and the food was excellent. You would expect during restaurant week they would be a little skimpy, but it wasn’t. In fact we took home food. Although the service was great, I took one star off because they didn’t clean the table before dessert. We ate dessert with a messy table. Other than that, I WOULD recommend this place.
Server Alejandro, bus boy , Juan and manager Mike were attentive. Great service!
Enjoyed Long Island Restaurant Week dining at Lombardi's on the Bay with my wife. In a word - superlative! The menu was varied enough for all tastes, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. The entrée portion (mine was Momma's Rigatoni with Meatballs) as good as as my own Italian mother's, and was so big that we ate well and still had take-home leftovers. Our servers, Conchetta and Katie were fabulous! Attentive, personable, and very good at their craft - which added to the dining experience! Michael, the manager, personally visited every table serval times to ensure that all patrons were well-cared for. This was our first visit to Lombardi's on the Bay but it certainly won't be the last.
This is a really nice place. The food is very good. It’s a little expensive but the portions are large.
We were so disappointed in this restaurant. We are regulars at the Holbrook location and at Lombardi’s on the sound. The appetizers were tasteless (fried zucchini and fried calamari) and our main entrees were just very average. There were no substitutions on the menu despite the hefty price. Sad to say we will never come back again..
I used to go here all the time during the summer months. I purchased this Groupon for the Oar House but found out they would not accept it on a Friday. Ok so we took a table anyway. Then the band began to play. It was so loud I couldn’t talk to my wife. We found it overwhelming and left. They can keep the unused Groupon too. Terrible experience. So we went to Lombardi’s on the Bay instead. Awesome!
Food was bland, took about 15 minutes before the waiter even came by to ask what we wanted to drink, waiter disappeared a lot didn’t refill the water,
Lorenzo was great and the food was great! Bus boy seem to forget about us but Lorenzo picked up the slack.
The main dining room is elegant but the traffic through it and into a very active bar detracted from the elegance. Although the cuisine is an excellent variety of Italian dishes they seem to do quite a lot of
Happy hour “slider“ business which takes it down a notch or two in my opinion.
As always great food and wonderful service from our waiter Lorenzo.
Overall a good restaurant. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Entrees were tasty and nicely presented. We ordered the calamari appetizer- it wasn’t very good - rubbery and the sauce was extremely salty. We were seated by the window and it was kind of chilly. Pricey, but I guess that’s because of the waterfront location.
I get better tasting steak at Applebees. There was no seasoning and very limited side dish options for people who can't eat potatoes. Highly disappointed.
5 stars across the board! Great food, great service!!!
Hostess was rude and very unprofessional. Food was not much better will never go back
Service was great the waiter was very attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, it was not his fault we were not thrilled. My husband and I love to try different restaurants and the quality of the food was not good.
The service was impersonal.
The food was fine but not great.
We prefer the Holtsville Moma Lombardi’s.
The stuffed flounder and stuffed mushrooms were excellent. Our waiter was outstanding! We will definitely return in the near future!
The restaurant is beautifully styled.
The food was superb. It was restaurant week and the prixe fixe menu was wonderful. The Portions were generous and the selections varied.
We had a wonderful table overlooking the bay at sunset.
The Waite staff was excellent.
Great food, service, atmosphere and view! We have been dining here for years and have never been disappointed.
Very nice place. The food was great and the service was excellent. I would come back here without a doubt.
Food was bland. Appetizers had no taste. Salad was good. My fish looked good but again was so tasteless. The other 3 people in my party all felt the same way. So surprised I thought this place had a good reputation
Great meal was restaurant week great choices
We went on a Friday night and the place was empty. The servers were very nice and attentive but the food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was very nice but I’m not running back anytime soon. There are much better choices in Patchauge
Very good view of the bay... Appetizing food... Service is excellent..
Nice location and a well kept establishment. They try hard to accommodate you and the rest of your party.
Great place for fish. The portions are huge! Must try the stuffed flounder and any of the sides are great.
Try the fresh fish on the specials
Jamie did a wonderful job! Service was timely and she was at our table at the appropriate time throughout the evening.
DO NOT SIT NEAR BAND VERY LOUD AND UNCOMFORTABLE CANNOT HEAR YOURSELF TALK
Made reservations the day before. Walked into and through the dinner room towards the bar area. Asked if we could get a table by windows in the bay view. Was told they’re all taken even though Nobody was there, at least 4 open tables. Was seated in a corner under a speaker close to the bar. Ok, waiter was friendly enough. Appetizers we ordered: beet salad was good. Beans were bad, no flavor, shiitake mushrooms, rubbery and salty. Mashed potato, lumped. Entree of fish (salmon and flounder, so so). Water refilled only on request. Waiter really wasn’t around. When asked how the food was, even after saying the beans were not the greatest and mushrooms like rubber, waiter basically said “great.” Wasn’t the greatest dinner, loud, cold and would not recommend to anyone. Overpriced. Ambiance? Forget it.
Menu is to be desired. The food is good, nothing special.
