   Update: We have been at Lombardi many more times since my last review. Things got even better. The snobbish attitude of the staff seem to be gone now and this place is still high class with very friendly atmosphere. JJ bartender at the bar make the BEST bruised dirty martinis! ------------------------------- Previous review: We have been to this chic restaurant twice so far. When you enter the restaurant you will be greeted by the smiling faces. First thing you will notice inside is the elegant looking large bar. Your cocktail quality will depend on which bartender makes your drink as such my martinis varied from one to another. You will not go wrong with any of the pasta dishes. They are absolutely delicious. I will not recommend any of the appetizers though, bread that they bring you to the table is good enough as they are so tasty. I would recommend going to Lombardi earlier than 8:00 PM because it tends to get crowded and starts looking like a club crowd instead of a sophisticated Italian restaurant as it is.

   We came as a group of 4 for a special birthday lunch. The service was outstanding (?Gerard with NOLA background). The food could not have been more creative and delicious - Cacio e Pepe salad and pasta - superb. Thank you so much for the little birthday surprise dessert!

   wait staff sucked. had to ask for bread to be brought to our table after 30 min. got sat 30 min after our reservation after following up with the host several times and every time i’ve come they’ve been extremely rude

    I love the ambience here, but we had one very dry protein dish and a temperature challenge with the steak. Service was so slow. However the GM did make it right. I so badly want to love this place!!
