We sat outside and it was very nice. The food and service were very good. Food is cooked to order so be patient and it's well worth it. Paella was amazing. Our server Sam was very attentive.

Good experience but I do not care for the requirement that a credit card must be entered at the time of making the reservation and a potential charge of $25 if you cancel less than 24 hrs in advance. I am much less likely to reserve in the future

Our reservations were for an outdoor table, but the New Orleans summer evening heat proved unwelcoming. So, we had were able to be seated at the bar. I rather enjoyed the bar seating as we could observe all the workings of the kitchen and staff. Quite and hustle and bustle. We ordered the antipasto plate and garlic soup for starters. The garlic soup is divine and has such a great depth and beautiful silky texture. Our main was the seafood paella. It may take a bit to prepare but it’s so worthy of that wait. It was chock full of rich flavors, savory notes and a texture playground. The Mussels, scallops, shrimp and fish were cooked to perfection. We washed this down with Spanish Rioja that the staff recommended and it was perfect. 10/10 dining experience and food.

I have been to Lola's many times and would at least give it a 4 star rating for food. However, this time, the paella was scorched. Everything had that burnt taste. Amongst the best things I recommend the crabmeat tropical, and the garlic shrimp appetizers. I've had the duck with fig sauce and its wonderful.

Super great experience at Lola’s! Our server was Pat and he did an excellent job taking care of us on a busy night during Running of the Bulls! The food was phenomenal- we had garlic shrimp, garlic mushrooms, and the angel hair pasta combination dish for two. Definitely give the sangria a try :) We live in the neighborhood so we’ll be back!

Took my daughter here for a mommy/ daughter date. We both loved the mussels. She was also a huge fan of the mashed potatoes that came with the pork loin. We had excellent service and would come back again.

Best overall food experience I’ve had in New Orleans … and I’ve been to many of the hyped up restaurants in the city. This place offered quite a feast to my palate. And the drinks complimented the food extremely well. Highly recommend the garlic mushrooms which were nothing short of spectacular, and the calamari was outstanding. The seafood paella did lack some flavor, but it was prepared well and was not fishy as it is in so many places. I can’t wait to go back here often. And the ambiance outside is so NOLA picturesque.

Expect ting a more authentic Spanish experience, sadly not. The paella wasn’t paella, it was just rice and seafood. The merest hint of saffron, no crispy soccorat, weak flavor. I doubt it was cooked in any of the multiple pans that are on display, I think it is basically cooked in bulk and just served in a cast iron pan (which is not a proper paella pan anyway). The Caldereta lamb stew was tasty though, very Andalusian! The Basque wine (zxacolina) was delicious!

We like the paella that Lola's serves, especially the Seafood Paella. We also like sitting outside when the weather permits and last night was perfect. The Sangria was good, not the best but acceptable, I always add a bit of Cava to my Sangria to give it a fizz. Our server was not very attentive and seemed to forget when we asked for drink renewal, check, extra this, or that. I think the server was new because we don't recall seeing him there before. I would definitely recommend Lola's but make reservations because it is a popular venue.

Disappointing tonight and this is one of my favorite places. Garlic shrimp were good. Brussels sprouts were hard and bitter. Sent back to be cooked further, but they came back out the same, so I cancelled. Entree came half way into appetizer. Whole rack of lamb was 4 chops. Gorgonzola sauce had no flavor and was watery. Waitress asked if we wanted dessert half way through the entree. Noise level was high.

We had such a great time at Lola's. The paella was fabulous. We sat at the bar and enjoyed visiting with the bartender and others sitting nearby. Lola's has a true neighborhood feel.

The worst experience ever! The food was horrible as the service. I will never recommend this place to anyone. They brought the appetizer and left us with tiny plates where we couldn’t put any food. The taste of the food was bad, the mushrooms teste fermented, like when you warm food from the day before. I found hair in the paella… never again!

Yesterday was our first visit, and we enjoyed the whole meal. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection, and the Caesar salad was the perfect beginning. We will go back soon.

Our waitress was less than attentive. She never came to check we had to ask for help four times in the two hours we were there so nothing excessive but we asked for more drinks when she brought the taps and never brought them sill be asked again. We asked for a knife and she never brought it. Never got the check. She brought the check but never came back to get our card. We had to go inside to pay. Food was good especially the garlic shrimp. Paella was better last time we were here but still good.

Lola’s is a mainstay of New Orleans restaurants with great Spanish dishes and ambiance. I always get the red sangria and the garlic shrimp appetizer, served with fresh bread and aioli. Then I go from there.

Really poor experience for a birthday dinner. Wasn’t my best dining experience at this restaurant. The restaurant made a mistake with their reservations and the manager treated us like she didn’t care. Very defensive and tried to guilt trip me about the cooks staying late. Won’t be back unfortunately after enjoying this restaurant in the past. Smh the world is changing. Businesses no longer care about the ppl that keep them open.

The food was very authentic and the ambiance was beautiful! I’m not one to write negative reviews but the service was pretty disappointing. We were seated for 35 mins before getting someone’s attention to have water, silverware, and order drinks. I’m glad that I went and experienced this cute place! I’m not sure that I would necessarily return just because of the service.
