Took more than 20 minutes to get drinks upon sitting down. After that, everything was great. Food was amazing.
Excellent service, amazing food went for brunch. The horchata pancakes are on almost every table. The trout Benedict was excellent. Great drink options fun for friends or date. Love this neighborhood gem. Lobster Deviled eggs were yummy too.
If you spend some time at the bar, and I recommend that you do, you will find out why they are rated in the top 5 places in the USA to drink a Tequila. Bartenders are knowledgeable and helpful even if you are a novice tequila drinker. All the margaritas are natural with none of that pre-mixed tequila mix.
The food is so very different than any Mexican restaurant. If you want burrito, rice and beans, don’t go here. Order the green mole and chose a protein. Highly recommend the seared Ahi. Posole with pulled pork is outstanding.
Normally I do a good job of figuring out what the chef is putting into a recipe, but for here I am stymied. It is just so good and so many flavors. Maybe better that I can’t make these things at home so I can have a great place to go out and enjoy.
This was my third time here for dinner. The menu vairies some seasonally, and I have never had a bad dish here. The chef is very flexible and adaptable if you want to make a change to a dish.
Cool vibe, good energy. Fancy menu - tableside guac was top shelf. Above average service and drinks. Sub par delivery from kitchen. Steak was very over cooked and missing a side!? I think th place takes advantage of its location and doesn’t try to take their craft personally.
Lola’s is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service are always great!
I loved my food, but my partner wasn't as impressed with the flavors in his pork. The guacamole is very overpriced.
Amazing food and great service! Love the signature dishes offered, taking classics and adding a bit of that Lola flair to them (ala smoked trout eggs benedict). Would love to try the dinner as that menu looked mighty enticing as well!!
We enjoyed it.
Very good food and good service.
Atmosphere is fun - sort of upscale rustic.
Great food and drinks. Nice to sit outside and enjoy well thought out and prepared seafood dishes. Best swordfish my wife had outside a coastal area. Great whole fish as well. Salsas are a bit overpriced but very flavorful. Also great for brunch and happy hour. Outside our neighborhood but worth the trip!
I’ve been going to LoLa’s for almost 15 years - since before they moved to LoHi. Great food, a reliable favorite.
We had a late change in plans and were able to get a last minute spot. The food was delicious and our server was excellent. It was a noisy evening, but we were able to manage. There were so many gluten-free options, we had no difficulty finding great options. I highly recommend the Lola guacamole.
Food was bland or badly seasoned. Absolutely no finesse in the preparation of the dishes. Service was sporadic. Drinks were disappointing. The only interest in our situation occurred when we handed in a review card which noted that we would not return. The manager on duty was very interested in our comments.
We had a fun brunch at Lola! The menu had a lot of traditional brunch items on it like chicken and waffles and a type of trout with hollandaise sauce on it. My casa salad was delicious as were our cocktails. We also ordered the maduros which were amazing. The outside patio is fun and if you can get a seat there do it!
Took my parents here to celebrate my first raise. Food was creative and tasted amazing. Loved the table-side guacamole experience. Great drinks, greate food, great time had by all. Will definitely be visiting again!
We’ve been to Lola several times through the years and was super disappointed this time. The food was below average -guacamole was tasteless. I ordered the artichoke meal and it was not good at all and my husband ordered the steak and it was OK. The best thing there was the Mojito‘s ....super disappointed
Great drinks and fresh seafood, but some tiny tiny tacos.
Such good food! I love their sword fish entree with the coconut rice, the hamachi appetizer, the brunch croque, and their trout Benedict (also brunch). Delicious every time! Fabulous service, ask for Hannah if she’s working. She’s awesome!! Definitely looking forward to my next meal there.
Great place to grab brunch before a Sunday afternoon Rockies game.
The table-side prepared guac was insanely delicious, just wishing the serving was a little more generous. The Queso Fundido is simply fantastic -- our party of six were all volunteering to link the pan of this dish. From chicken to fish to shrimp to pork -- everyone at the table was happy with their entrees, and so we decided to splurge on sharing some desserts: the "warm, spiced chocolate dipping sauce" that comes with the churros would be good on anything, and the Lola Key Lime Tart is a worthy new improvement on a much abused classic.
the food and ambience are amazing as usual!
I love Lola. Good food and drinks. Great guac and the caldo is awesome.
Did not care for the smoked flavor of the chicken enchiladas (only 2 per order). Our bill was $140 for 3 people and yet my wife's seafood-on-salad dinner was served in a plastic bowl as were my enchiladas. Either be cheap Mexican or expensive, but don't charge for the latter if you are the former.
On the other hand, the place is very honest as my wife left her purse and when we went back later they had put it in the manager's office all safe and ready for pick-up.
We enjoyed our meal & couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Entire experience was awful. If I could give zero stars for service I would. Manager was a complete and total a*s.

My fiancé and I came to Lola to dine after a special occasion earlier that morning...our elopement! Both of us are huge fans of Mexican fare, and had heard great things about Lola and decided to give it a try!
Even though Lola typically does not take reservations on their patio, they held a table for us at the perfect time to accommodate my request. Our waiter was attentive, answered all our questions about the drinks and food menu, and even made some suggestions - which we graciously accepted! Our water glasses never went below half full, and they even brought us extra chips for our appetizer as soon as we ran out! Our food arrived after a very short wait, and was exactly how we requested it! Delicious! Near the end of our meal, our waiter even brought us champagne to toast to our marriage and extended his congratulations.
We plan to bring our next out-of-town visitors to LoDo to experience Lola! Excellent experience.
Wow, Lola has certainly upped their game since we last visited several years ago! Food was fabulous! Late night music not so much, and too loud!
I’m not a budget conscious person, but for the price, the food seemed pretty average. Bill for three people was $116 + 20% tip for 3 entrees, 2 beers and 1 margarita. No appetizers, no desserts. No complimentary chips and salsa here, as we were charged $4.99 - so I guess I did purchase an appetizer. Initially booked a reservation for July 4th at 7pm, but received a phone call from this restaurant 3 hours prior to my reservation asking if we could come earlier or reschedule because they were going to close early.
It was really hot In the restaurant. A bit uncomfortable in that way. But food was great I suggest the shrimp tacos. Guacamole was also exceptional! Hamachi delicious as well!!
So good. Chips and Guacamole and Window seating was the best.
Outstanding Mexican/Latin food, the Caldo was exceptional and so were the Oysters.
Lola seems to have lost some of its original luster, but they still plate some tasty eats. The albacore salad was delicious. The yucca "steak fries" were a total winner. The swordfish was a bit of disappointment. The dessert offering was very dairy-heavy, so we passed.
The food was just okay. A bit of a disappointment given the prices and it's billing as upscale Mexican. The atmosphere was great, but the food left us wanting.
Great food and excellent, attentive service!
Food was greasy and salty. The first meal that I had there was great but after that first experience, the food has gone down hill. Fish did not taste fresh and the pork dish was very oily. The look rides are very high for the quality of the food.
My husband and I visited Lola for Sunday brunch and we both loved it! I ordered the special, steak, shrimp, eggs and grits and he had the carnitas bowl. My husband is pretty picky and usually doesn't eat a lot. He CRUSHED that bowl and loved every bite. Portions were huge and we both left very full and happy. We also had cocktails, which were excellent. We are already planning our next trip back!
Father’s Day brunch
I have been coming to Lola periodically for almost 6 years. I love their seasonal menu and the variety of items on it. The menu is not overwhelming like other places tend to be, which is a nice change of pace. One of the best parts is dessert. They carry some of the Little Man Ice Cream flavors.
