Everything was great, excellent waiter. Only thing I was slightly disappointed at is that they offered no special treatment for our anniversary occasion. I only noticed this because other high end restaurants such as Ruth's Chris have made a bigger deal out of it, offered us a free dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written in fruit coulis on it, as well as a rose on our table. There really was no personal touch here for our occasion. But the restaurant itself was gorgeous and the live piano music as well. It's a great place.
The food portions were a little small for the price.
The food wasn’t wooow!!! It was okay. I definitely like the ambiance and the service Jonathan was awesome. I had the fillet mignon
Excellent meal and service. Disappointed with the atmosphere. Sitting on a patio right next to a parking lot where staff were walking in and out and very close to the highway was not very romantic. Would have rather ate inside.
We are on vacation. The cuisine was underwhelming.
Beautiful setting in Wasatch National Forest. Valet parking was handy. Menu includes beef, bison and elk, along with a few seafood choices. We each had a salad and both were excellent (not large enough to share). We both had beef and it was excellent. Would definitely return for a splurge. Good choice of wines, but a little pricey.
Stunning restaurant. Worth the visit for sure. Top 20 experience for me. The scenery, fresh air, and waterfall are amazing. Food is great too. The nachos are bomb.
We had a very memorable meal. We were celebrating our son and daughter-in-law’s second wedding anniversary. The meal was outstanding and our server was excellent.
Love the ambiance and the piano playing while dining. A truly serene experience. We will be back.
Great place! I love the views and the charm of the restaurant! The staff was very attentive and food was amazing.
Found this on Trip Advisor. A pleasant surprise. Food was great, Service was great. If I could find my receipt I would single out our server by name but, not to be. My only complaint is when going to the restaurant my GPS had me there before entering the park where it is located and no-one was in the booth at the park entrance. Luckly there was a policeman stopped a few yards up the road who knew where it was. Not the restaurants fault of course but, new customers should know it's about three more miles up the canyon in a nice location. Try to get a table looking out the window, I think east, so you can see the waterfall across the street. The restaurant could pass on this information about the location when people make reservations. I had the Halibut dish and it was wonderful, my wife had the chicken dish and she was very pleased also.
Went here by myself upon recommendation of my wife. Was in town for one day for business. Quite a drive up the hill, no cell service after a while, but they have guest wifi at the restaurant. Use valet, easier than parking on side of hill like I did. Food was fantastic, server Jason was great, everything was perfect.
Excellent choice from the picturesque drive up the canyon road to the delicious dinner! Bravo!!
Arrived at 7:55 for our 8:00 reservation, table for three. Seated 8:15. Informed no dining available on the patio as there was a wedding reception in progress. (Would've been a nice footnote when they confirmed by phone that morning.) No drinks ordered, one Calamari appetizer, one salad split for 2, entrees included the Miso Halibut and Korean Cauliflower w/ Jalapeno Mac & Cheese.
Appetizer served at 9:00 pm. Salad 9:30 pm. Dinner at 9:45.
By the time we were served we asked for the check to avoid further delays as this was totally unacceptable to wait for 1 3/4 hours for your entrée to be served.
Interestingly enough the food was fantastic! So disappointed that by the time we were served we were ready to leave. Will still try again, summer dinner on the patio with your dog offer.
Parking was horrible because of wedding and attendants were totally unhelpful
An amazing experience like out of this world (or at least out of Utah). The log house itself, the live light jazz, the sorrounding nature, the waterfall, everything complements top level food and hospitality! Great memorable experience!
Great as usual, perfect food, wine and ambiance, looking forward to the next time.
Last evening of our vacation
First time eating here for my wife’s birthday and we were not disappointed! We dined outside and loved the scenery and ambience. The weather was perfect and our server was just the right amount of attentive. The food was fantastic and the portions were just right (I’m not big on quantity for quantity’s sake - it’s about the experience).
I would recommend this place for anyone that wants a lovely evening just out of the city with gorgeous views, wonderful food, and great atmosphere!
Thank you Log Haven!
Unbelievably comfortable this place -- the ambiance, the service, the food, all tremendous. We felt like we were in another world.
Sitting outside was great. Though it was 95 degrees in Salt Lake that day, the evening was cool up in the valley and forest.
After dinner, you should walk across the road, into the valet parking lot, and see the small deck overlooking a creek and waterfall. Awesome spot for pictures.
We are never disappointed with our dinners at Log Haven. The location is unmatched anywhere. Our food was expertly prepared and served. The ambiance was lovely with a pianist playing live music nightly on the weekend. I recommend making a reservation through Open Table and enjoy the experience for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
Perfection on a hot summer night. This place is simply unique and cannot be duplicated. Just go!
Loghaven is located in one of the local canyons, near 100 in Salt Lake, outdoor dining on the patio was nicely cool and comfortable in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Menu had some nice choices...the charred Brussel Spouts were magical. Am diabetic, they made a simple menu swap for me, which was much appreciated.
Beautiful outdoor dining area and delicious food to match.
The Log Haven had a wonderful atmosphere and was very beautiful. Would highly recommend for date or other special occasion.
It can get better than this place in Utah, the food is outstand and the ambiance is great
Service was amazing, Ali did an impeccable job describing dishes. She was attentive, congenial and not suffocating! The food was amazing! Having Chef David Jones come out was a great touch and impressive and informative to my guest. Thank you all so much!
Food was good but expensive. Ambience was good but needed a fan or more air circulation.
It really doesn't get any better. The food was wonderful, service was impeccable and the ambiance is amazing. This is a special day every time we go!
Out server was fantastic! She made sure all my allergies were addressed and was very helpful with suggestions. I will defiantly be back.
What you really are paying for is the ambiance and the scenery. The food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t really worth what you are paying for.
We ended up getting the bison and Elk. We had the clams and Spanish sausage for an appetizer. The only spot I've found that serves an elk steak. Both bison and Elk were excellent and reasonably priced. Great wine list. The Moscow mules were on point if you like mixed drinks. They have their own in house pastry chef so get the dessert.
Excellent food, service, view, service! Erik was informed, engaging, funny, responsive, but NOT obnoxious or too present! Ask for him to serve you and you won’t be disappointed. The food was amazing- some unique dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection and served while still hot.
All around perfect night!
This was my daughter's first visit to the restaurant, and her birthday... she could not have been more impressed. I have been here many times and noted when I made the reservation that it was a Birthday celebration, but there was no acknowledgement of it at all by the staff. It was a little disappointing. However, the meal itself was fabulous. We ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, the wagyu bavette & filet mignon for the entrees, and the pineapple upside-down cake and frozen coconut banana souffle for desserts. We were seated next to the waterfall, which was wonderful--the weather was perfect. Overall, a wonderful evening.
Lovely place, we were scouting it as a wedding venue and it is on the top 3 of our list! Our waitress, Cassie, was so tentative and great! She asked us if we had dined at Log Haven before, we hadn’t, so she explained about the place and menu, etc. She also asked if we were there for any special occasion, we told her we were considering it as a wedding venue, so she brought us a wedding packet! We didn’t even have to ask, we were delighted. The food was delicious, the facility was clean and elegant. We can’t wait to come back for a tour and hopefully, our wedding!
Great food, and atmosphere. The waterfall is beautiful.
Cynthia was our server, she is amazing!! We will definitely come back (:
We have been here a couple of time, and just find it okay. What makes it nice, is the setting.
The lady at reception was NOT that friendly. I asked her a couple,of question, and got a pretty snarky responses.... not a good start to dinner.
My friend was not that hungry, so ordered the chip nachos- nothing in the description on the menu mentioned truffle oil - he hates truffle!! And of course it was covered in truffle oil....
Probably will not be back again.
Two birthdays in family. Out of state visit with family and great finale to a great visit.
Great place for a date or special occasion. Food always good and menu changes just enough to keep it novel
