Excellent food as always.
Excellent service and food was delicious.
Amazing food and staff
The best food and amazing setting--magical, magical, magical. Do not hesitate--go there.
Very warm and cozy environment. Each item we ordered was great! The cauliflower is impressive, the filet was a classic and the scallops were a perfect texture.
Excellent view, cocktails and food really good definitely will be coming back soon
Great service. Very accommodating to someone in our party had garlic allergies. We let them know ahead of time and they were prepared. Very impressed.
Very great ambiance, the views were amazing, and the service was great! The food was good, not the best. The steak was so tender but had some weird sauce that I would prefer without. Other than that it was great and would recommend.
Received a gift card and had dinner at Log Haven over the weekend. The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing, even on a busy Friday night. Our waitress was attentive and did not make us feel uncomfortable for using a gift card (I was nervous as the instructions on the card were to present to the server at the beginning of the meal). Our meals were exceptional. Valet was quick and all staff was friendly. Will definitely be back!
This was the best date night I have ever had! We were given the best seat in the house, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and my date was pretty amazing, too. After dinner we walked across the street to the waterfall where it was chilly, but what a marvelous ending to a perfect evening.
We really enjoyed our experience at Log Haven. The food was delicious and the ambiance was great. Very special spot-worth the scenic drive.
Dunes at Log Haven for my husband’s birthday and it was such a treat. The overall ambience is romantic and cozy, and the food was outstanding! The filet was one of the best I’ve ever had. Can not recommend this place enough to celebrate anything worth celebrating!
It was great. We had a wonderful dinner in an spectecular ambience. The server was very friendly.
Food was fantastic, service was top notch, and the atmosphere on a fall evening is hard to beat!
The food was good but not worth the price. Service was only fair, because our food took over an hour to come after we ordered. Server was more interested in seeing to the needs of a larger table
The Pepper Steak was the BEST steak ever!!! Overall best place for a special night out!
Excellent restaurant. Service was outstanding. Staff very knowledgeable. Creative menu. Extensive wine list. Host was absolutely great.
The best meal we have ever had! The filet mignon is to die for! Also, try the cauliflower as an appetizer - you won’t regret it! We paid an arm and a leg for our food and we were there about 2 hours, but definitely an amazing night!
NEVER EVER GET THE CRACKED PEPPER STEAK!!!!!! iT IS MADE OF PURE HELL FIRE AND DEATH!!
The location can't be beat, building and surroundings are incredibly beautiful. Service is very good and so is the food.
We are visiting Salt Lake City from CT and read great reviews about the Log Haven. It lived up to its reputation. Great food and great service. Plus a waterfall. Really nice time
What a lovely restaurant nestled in the foothills of the mountains, about a 30 minute drive from the convention center. The Alpine nachos and elk tenderloin were outstanding. Well worth the Uber drive!
The drive up was beautiful. Be sure to go across the street (day or night) to take a photo near the waterfall. Jake (our server) was awesome and very attentive! I would highly recommend this place!
We were so disappointed with our meals...our food was way too “hot spicy” We told our server we didn’t care for and wanted “hot spicy” sauces on the side when we ordered our appetizers. When our server collected our dishes and saw we had not eaten our main course...we told him our opinion and he did nothing meaningful. He actually said...I don’t see that as hot spicy ... well our evening ended on that note...very disappointed Our server didn’t even seem to care that we didn’t eat our main courses ... anyone of our party of three. Thank goodness for the the ambiance of the restaurant .....we enjoyed that.
Food was great. Server was good. However, the hostess seating us seemed to be put off when I asked for another table then what she was seating us at. She appeared to roll her eyes and sigh which leaves the guest with a poor impression.
Ambiance and service are excellent. Prices are high for food that is good but of limited choices. If special food requirements are needed your choices are even more limited. Some of the entrees are good but others are over spiced. Did not live up to expectations.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. We will go back.
The food was delicious and interesting. We ate bison and elk, and loved both, including the accompaniments for each. Lemon dressed salad was very tart, and quite a small portion. Pineapple cake dessert was delicious. Wine and coffee very good.
The atmosphere and history of this restaurant is so amazing. You feel like you drove into wonderland once you turn the corner and it comes into view. A waterfall across the street and it was lite up with twinkle lights. The food was great. I loved my Bison was perfect. I personally didn't love all the apps but my group did, so it is just about preference. The service is superb! Water glasses always full and drinks when we needed them.
The drive is into a National Forest, so be forewarned there is a 'toll' on the way out. They give you a validated ticket but we still almost flew right by it.
Never disappointed by the exquisite surroundings, unique and delicious food options and service perfection. Add a very eclectic wine list and so charming interior setting - you can’t beat it!
Log Haven has been an award winning venue for over 40 years. The Executive Chef, David Jones, and General Manager, Ian Campbell, are superb. The four mile drive up Millcreek Canyon is beautiful, any time of the year. You can listen to live piano music while you dine. The food is incredible. I really couldn't be more enthusiastic about this venue. It should be on everyone's bucket list.
second time there and it was still amazing, the location is the second best part due to the amazing scenery, with the best part being the food.
the only let down this time was that our waiter didn't inform us or give us the voucher for when we left since it is in a national forest you need to pay for driving up the canyon, and I forgot which sucks since I had to pay for that...
so make sure you remember to ask for your voucher
This has been and still is my favorite restaurant of all time. We go there for almost every anniversary and when we don't we wish that we had. Fantastic place that I would recommend to anyone.
Just Awesome, that’s the best way to Discribe the Experience.
Log Haven never disappoints. I requested a table by the window, perfect view. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was very pleasant and helpful.
Great food and great service!
My girl friend and I were visiting SLC for a wedding last week! We wanted to have a date night to ourselves before the wedding festivities started. I read numerous reviews to find the the best restaurants in restaurants in Salt Lake. I ended up choosing Log Haven for our evening date night and WOW!!
From the ambiance, to food, to service this was an incredible experience. This rustic and upscale restaurant did not disappoint. This is a must dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Salt Lake!
This is the definition of you pay for what you get! Thank you Log Haven for making our dining experience one of the highlights of our trip!
I first experienced Log Haven on a business dinner. I loved it so much, I wanted my husband to experience it, too, the next time we were in the area. I love the ambience and setting. The service was great and the food was delicious and creative. Located in a beautiful canyon across the road from a gorgeous waterfall, it's a fantastic place for any occasion...a little on the pricey side, though.
Definitely worth the short drive up the canyon, Log Haven never disappoints! Food is always exceptional and the atmosphere can't be beat!
Always the best place for a romantic dinner and amazing food with a beautiful majestic setting.
