Set over two floors, Lockhouse is situated in Paddington’s new waterfront development, Merchant Square. Lockhouse is an All day Bar and Kitchen, with craft beers, artisan cocktails and fine wines. Our menu is small but perfectly formed with a striking selection of hearty burgers, a range of exotic salads and New York style deli sandwiches, each created using the freshest ingredients and spices. With a capacity of 350 standing and 250 seated, Lockhouse is home to a light-flooded bar area and large & flexible restaurant area. There is private mezzanine level suitable for up 70 guests. Lockhouse can provide a perfect setting for any special occasion or event, which can be tailored to your requirements. THEY DO NOT USE OPENTABLE ANYMORE. Food took a while to arrive but it was great. Avoid Friday lunch if you're in a hurry. A bit noisy but nothing excessive. Very helpful and nice staff.

Plenty of people were in the bar, but 5/6 of the restaurant was closed so the atmosphere was unusual, atypical, and peculiar. The service was excellent, quick and friendly, and completely understood our orders. The food was excellent. At least they had chicken in contrast to the last time we came for dinner! We do not appreciate the music which is far too loud. I come fairly regularly for breakfast which I thoroughly enjoy. The porridge is to die for and the eggs are cooked to perfection. The coffee is the best of all the canal side eateries. Finally. All the staff are real professionals and they make a visit most enjoyable.

There were 3 of us and one actually really liked their salad so that was good. I had a vietnamese roll and it was too big, too hard (crispy) and had no flavour, it was just stuffed with lots of stuff so unable to eat it. The sweet potato fries were lovely The third person had 1/4 chicken which was smothered in bbq sauce but tasted quite nice. Service was good, very friendly and great location but food was quite average.

The evening could have been a disaster as the kitchen suddenly closed without warning without us having ordered. I had a train to catch in one hour's time, so was faced with the disappointment of not eating together with members of my family before the kitchen opened again. However the waiter who I spoke to rose to the occasion and prioritised our order when the kitchen opened again. My companions were given free desert to make up for the loss of service, though by then I had left. Whilst I didn't get the full benefit of the menu, I thought the staff were really helpful and pleasant, the menu interesting and the close proximity to Paddington station ideal.

Servings sizes were very small, especially the burgers for the price of them. The tuna burger was extremely overcooked, we couldn't finish it. The beef burger was not worth the £8, and the £5 polenta fries- you only received 5 of them, making them a ghastly £1 each! Service was average- sufficient enough but nothing positive to comment. Would not return for dinner. Might return for drinks due to central location.

Great burgers at Lockhouse. The buttermilk chicken with sriracha is delicious and are the fries (potato and sweet potato). Good service and (loud) buzzy atmosphere on a Friday night.
