Found in the original entertainment & commercial district, LOCAL Public Eatery is surrounded by the fun vibes of Stephen Ave & buzzing energy of Downtown Calgary. Stop in for a quick lunch meeting, a happy hour session after a long day at the office or make it a night & come back the day after for a LOCAL Burger or weekend brunch cure. We have 20 taps with 7 that rotate around new picks & seasonal brews, an open kitchen that brings our menu to life with only the freshest ingredients & highest standards, as well as 14 TV's so you don't miss a game, highlight or any action for that matter. And if you prefer to play games & place friendly wagers instead (may we suggest fish tacos?), there's shuffleboard & crokinole for that.

We just came for happy hour, but the beer was cold and a great value, and the edamame are always on point. I just wanted to leave a review for the staff - we had several super friendly cool woman serving us and thought they deserved a shout out. They handled a busy patio with grace and a smile!

Local is great for fitting large groups. I came here with my team for an after work happy hour and everyone had a great time. Our server was super friendly and helpful. There’s lots of options on the menu for everyone. It’s spacious. The music is loud enough that anyone sitting further from you might have a harder time hearing. I look forward to coming back for the patio when the weather is warmer!

The food arrived so quickly and it was amazing! Our server was very kind and continually checked in with us to ensure we were satisfied.
