My visit with niece and her husband...wonderful evening
Excellent food - eaten there for dinner on several occasions and food is consistently excellent
The evening we went to Little Saint it was quite busy and loud. The interior is small and there are a lot of hard surfaces and so the noise level is pretty high. The server was very nice, thoughtful and attentive. The quality of the service was a real plus to the experience. The food was good, not fantastic. Our main criticism is that the menu is pretty limited. There are only a few entrée items and they are quite unusual. We all found something to order but it was a little hard to find something each of us wanted.
Quiet, great music, incredible food that was comforting and inventive, great cocktails and wine. 100% would return.
I loved this quaint little restaurant. There were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options which is so nice to see. And the atmosphere was charming. I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking to do something fun!
This is a tiny little space but the service was prompt and helpful and the food was outstanding, and I only had the Cobb Salad. I will definitely be back.
Fantastic!! Awesome menu. Very surprised by all the options for Thanksgiving ... regular menu, Turkey dinner, vegan and vegetarian "Turkey dinner". Great drink selections including creative non alcoholic drinks. Great food, great service! Thank you very much for catering to all food choices.
Delicious Thanksgiving dinner with great service. Couldn't ask for much more
We did Thanksgiving here and it was absolutely perfect!
Waiter was not very knowledgeable but the food was great
Friend was in town who is vegan and so I was looking for some options to fit the carnivore and vegans in group. Little Saint came up as an option so we all decided to give it a try. First, staff was very attentive and not overly "in your face" which I love...it's a fine line. Food options on menu all looked so good and seemed like really good, seasonal and inventive options. Will say the food was very good but the issue is really portions were small for the price (note, small portions are just fine but it's the price per portion I am referring to here). Overall, we paid $80 for 3 people and no alcohol (everyone had water). One shared appetizer among group ($12 for fried cauliflower) and while delicious was about 1/4 of a head of cauliflower for that price, plus 2 main dishes and one person had a soup with bread. Will go back if have friends but not rushing out.
The food was excellent. I had a long wait for my meal, though.
Grits bowl with deep fried kale was divine!! Lovely outdoor dining, excellent service, cool vibe.
Was delicious- went for restaurant week but will go back so we can try the full menu!
While the meal, itself was quite good, the seating was too close to enjoy conversation or look around ( we faced a wall) since it was restaurant week and this was a gift, we would have preferred to order a la carte..To spend almost a $100 for a skimpy glass of wine and poor ambiance, we were disappointed
Went for restaurant week. Food was delicious. Fun cocktails. Great service. Will be back
Went for brunch. When we arrived it was hopping but cleared out fairly quickly to just a few tables occupied. Menu was promising with a variety of neat sounding items and some traditional. Wait staff very nice and attentive. After quite a wait for drinks the waitress said they were short staffed in kitchen. After a considerably longer wait for meal it arrived but was sort of disappointing. Not bad, just nothing more than average. Perhaps it was just a staffing problem that day. We might try them again some time in the future but left feeling like it could have been a lot better.
I received an email from Little Saint for RVA restaurant week. I reviewed the menu which had a lot of vegan options so I was really excited. I reserved a time for my husband and I to go in the afternoon through the email I received only to find out that the menu I reviewed was only for dinner. It did not say this anywhere on my email/flyer. I was really disappointed because it only left us with 2 options to choose from when we expected to have a 3 course vegan meal. Service was good and it is a nice place. The cocktails were good. I would go again knowing to go for dinner...
His was featured for Richmond restaurant week and I’m so thankful for these businesses that reallput out a great representation of our local excellence. I was very happy with all the selections and the meal was prepared to perfection. The butternut bisque had a little white heat to it and the bison was amazing. The small cup of chocolate mousse was the perfect size! My friends mahi looked amazing. Well done!!!
Amazing flavors, wine options and cocktails. Service was delightful!
Cute little neighborhood bistros with local ingredients and good food and wine
My sister and I visited Little Saint for the first time during Restaurant Week 2018. The fixed price menu offered a variety of appealing choices and we both thought our meals delicious. I especially liked the House Shrub which had an unusual but very tasty combination of flavors. The servers were attentive and efficient. We definitely plan to return.
Everything I had sounded better than it tasted. Was edible, but I wouldn't go back.
Went for a last minute dinner. Great drinks, food was decent. Nothing outstanding...
Delicious food and great service. We loved everything we ordered.
My fish entree was over cooked, but my server was fantastic and quickly brought out a complementary salad to eat while waiting for a new piece to be cooked. Second piece was delicious. My husband would have liked a little more pimento cheese in his burger. Overall good though and great service.
The service was outstanding! Also - morning happy hour?! My Bloody Mary was $3! Had such a lovely time! Food was great, and service was fabulous!
The biscuit with pimento cheese chicken salad, scrambled egg, bacon and a drizzle of hot sauce...was AMAZING. The bloody mary's are spicy and delicious, too. Little Saint is cozy. My friend and I sat there for a long while and the waitstaff was patient and attentive! Thank you Little Saint.
Was really loud inside so we chose outdoors and were the only ones out there. Very pleasing experience!
Food an service was great. Very loud and hot in restaurant
Seating could be better for dates
Food and service were good. This was a small, quaint farm to table type dining. Portion sizes we're somewhat small, but the grit bowl was decent sized and delicious.
Started with some tasty drinks. Pimento appetizer was awesome & a great value. I got the fish entree - Mahi Mahi. It was lukewarm when I got & just ok.. a little fishy.
Bison steak entree was really good & gnocchi w arugula $ runny egg was yummy but chicken added was a little dry..
Previously the fish I got with a rice cake was amazing so a little disappointed on return trip..
Pretty good! Interesting selection of food and drink while also having the typical brunch options as well.
Go! Excellent food and service -recommend for foodies for the creative menu and excellent bar menu! Little Saint has so much going for it! Was a little warm (that’s the only reservation) was second time there and all were inside sweating. Despite the heat it’s a cozy comfortable choice with local ingredients.
Our server was excellent
Professional polite efficient
the portions were very small for the price, the food was just ok. It was really hot in the building. The service was wonderful. Not enough options on menu, more cocktails then menu items
I had the scallop special and it was wonderful. My husband has the rockfish and it was way overcooked and looked like 2 left over pieces. Our daughter has the grit bowl and enjoyed it. So 2 out of 3 were very good.
Really enjoyed Little Saint! Tried several dishes at our table and all were good. Scallops were the favorite! Drinks were great too. Will be going back for sure!
Overall our dinner was good. Our server was friendly and well-informed. The food was very good (mahi-mahi, Oysters, Scallops). The desserts (coconut chocolate pie, blueberry cheesecake) were also very good. The vegetables were the one weak point. The salad had too many unchewable stems, though my pet rabbit would have been in heaven. The broiled frisee was a good idea, but was quite tough, needed a steak knife. I would definitely go back. The oysters were a bit pricey, but for the most part the cost was reasonable and there were some real bargains on wine.
