Little Pub- Old Saybrook
Wish the menu had a few more meals. I understand perhaps COVID has challenged their supply or planning but missed the more expansive menu. Would only recommend for lunch these days.
Service was poor- I know these are difficult times but it seemed like they had enough staff. Still the service was slow and not efficient. Food was pretty good.
Nice spot. Comfortable atmosphere, good menu and staff.
We had a sketchy experience when this place opened; however, we heard they were doing a match for NPR so decided to give it another try. It was FABULOUS- the food was great, the service was exceptional! A special thanks to Kyle. “WE SHALL
They were short staffed on Sunday so it took a little longer to get service. This doesn’t usually happen there.
Always amazing food- never disappoints. We can’t wait to go back
Food amazing. Liked we could eat inside or outside. Tables far apart inside. Fast service.
We had family in from out of state. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful night with the band playing for entertainment. We had a new waiter, he did a great job!
This was our first visit to any Little Pub location and what a perfect choice for a Saturday night dinner before a comedy show. Our waitress Alexis was great, friendly, quick and helpful. The busboy suggested some of the food we ordered and the bartenders were great too. They had an awesome band playing (we sat outside under the tent). The Pickle Wings were a must-try and we would definitely order again! Try if you are a pickle and wing lover! The giant pretzel was great and as the busboy said, the cheese sauce is like crack lol! All of our meals were delicious too. I can't wait to go back and try other locations!
Dirty. They refuse to put soap in the men’s room. So I guess the people who work there don’t wash their hands with soap. Yuck!!
Went on a Saturday night it wasn’t busy at all …. Kinda weird - had to find our server for everything, not attentive at all even with it being very slow - food was ok, no music - boring and flat place
Noisy. Too many kids. Food wasn’t that good, in particular I had the Moo Shu Pork tacos, it was basically bbq pulled pork drenched in a wasabi sauce, not only was there wayyy to much wasabi, it made a huge mess when I tried to eat it. Only good thing about it was it cleared my sinuses.
Extremely poor service.
The tent outside was nice. Parking was a little challenging. Food was just okay. Nothing that blew our minds. First round of drinks was good and second round was way too strong. Would probably go back to try something else.
Was nice. The main dining room-bar area was big. Tables were too spread apart and open lacked cozy feeling. Maybe Covid related. Pub food nothing memorable but nice.
The Little Pub in Ridgefield was our "family bar", and it was great to be able to visit one of their other branches and find the same top notch food and service.
Very nice addition to the shoreline area for a good casual dinner
Pleasant wait staff
Went for dinner with my son as always very good food and service.
As always, food was very good. We were disappointed that they did not have Brunch as advertised.
Great food! Great atmosphere!
They could not find a reservation for us and the host was not helpful at all. Luckily they had seating but they made it seem like they were doing is a favor even though I showed them the reservation on my phone. As we were leaving I heard the same situation happening with another group. It seems they are having issues with reservations. Service was good and food good though.
We do a foodie Friday lunch every week. There are 4 couples. We try and pick unique restaurants. We all enjoyed the little pub. We are going to try the other little pubs in CT
We were thrilled with the attention we received for my daughter’s 25th birthday! The food and drinks were so yummy!
We asked to sit at the bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Food is great. I had buttermilk crunch wrap. My friend had chicken salad wrap special. The staff is very attentive. Will definitely go back
Food was good. We had reservations outside and they kept forgetting we were out there. Had better service experience in the past so I’ll chalk it up to a bad night.
It’s a fun casual place to go out with friends and family!
Out of town and looking for a good lunch. We chose wisely. Worth the stop. Must try if you are in the area.
Had the Cobb salad with salmon filet added. Delicious! Our server was personable and so great!
Even with a reservation, we waited 15 minutes to be seated. Service was a disaster. We waited 15 minutes for a drink order only to be told they were out of that beer, and then they charged us for it at the end of the night! I asked for dressing on the side and no olives on my salad, It came soaked in dressing and full of olives. The waitresss did, however, comp the salad for me which was nice. They ran out of glasses so my son drank his beer out of the can. They were clearly struggling to get back in the swing now that restaurants are at full capacity again. Hopefully they will figure it out.
We ate outdoors (thus the ambience rating - inside is beautiful) and would have preferred if heaters we available. Table wasn’t clean. Found it shocking they’re reusing menus. I’m not sure if that guideline has been lifted but electronic menus are so much more sanitary and environmentally sound.
The food was good, but cooled off too quickly for us to thoroughly enjoy (which heaters wouldn’t have helped - so not their fault)
But the service was terrible. Took forever to receive our check and then when we couldn’t wait any longer we headed inside to the hostess stand to chase down our credit cards.
We won’t be back.
Terrible service and mediocre food. The server had others deliver for her and they got the order all wrong. She was nowhere to be found for a long time. We felt like we were bothering her to ask for corrections or additional drinks. Won’t be returning .
Great brunch with unlimited mimosas or Bloody Mary’s.
We like the variety of the food & beer that Little Pub offers. The staff is very courteous & friendly.
We dined on Valentine’s Day, but that does not account for our horrible experience as the restaurant only had a few other customers seated.
Our server was very inattentive to us, did not ask us at all if we wanted drinks, let alone more drinks once we finished the ones we had.
Our orders were incorrect, with items being subbed without mentioning to us. One example- we ordered poutine and received plain French fries with no explanation. When asked what happened to the poutine the response was “we’re out of gravy” - perhaps something worth mentioning when we placed the order or when you realized it during assembling the order. This was just one example of many!!!!
Dessert time rolls around, the server brings the check without asking how our meals were or if we even wanted dessert! It was probably because they had no dessert left! They managed to find a single piece of chocolate cake for the kids luckily, but only after we asked.
Very poor dining experience and very surprising since I’ve been to the other little pubs and have loved them!
We always have a great time here but the server was overwhelmed. She had an entire room by herself on Valentine’s Day. We barely got our drinks much less refills. It was lunch no less ...
Everything was great. Service was fast and the quality of the food was great! Cant wait to go back.
Sadly my boyfriend and I did not have a good experience our first time coming here on Valentine’s Day... not sure if it was a staffing issue (being understaffed) or not prepared for the potential volume the Valentine’s Day could bring in. There was what appeared to be only one server in the dining room with no manager on the floor. We were sat and ignored for 30 MIN before getting two glasses of water. Another 10 minutes go by and we see the server greet another table that had sat down 15 minutes after us. Our reservation was at 7:00 and left at 7:45. The entire 45 minutes no came to our table. It’s very unfortunate because 1. This was our first time coming to this restaurant and 2. It was thought to be a nice Valentine’s Dinner /new experience. Easy to say we WILL NOT be coming back here.
