Little Mammoth Steakhouse
We offer a variety of chicken, pork, lamb and fish dishes, but of course, ultimately, steakhouse is all about the beef. That is why our steaks are done right, with bold flavors, high quality and our signature, served on Himalayan salt blocks.
Come in and see why the locals call us the best kept secret of Snowmass!
Steaks cooked wrong the first time. Slow service. Lava cake dessert was cold.
Steaks, crabcake and goat cheese salad were great!!! It’s nice to have an upscale steak house in Snowmass.
My wife and daughter’s order were wrong. Our steaks were overcooked. Service was not what I expected. This is my third time to dine here and my last.
Great steaks. Nice service. Make sure the side dishes are hot. Our potatoes were not.
Unanimous thumbs up from our group of 5. The steak was delicious, as were the sides and appetizers.
This was an awesome evening. We had a very friendly professional greeting. We had a great table.
We were greeted promptly by our server Kyle with great suggestions. I never felt rushed. I really enjoyed the caprice salad. My steak was excellent. Excellent choice of whiskies.
Loved their entrainment. They were great and very interactive with the patrons.
I would highly recommended this restaurant and plan on visit next time
I visit Snowmass
Overall very good. We ate there twice during our recent stay. A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion.
Music was too club like and loud. Amazing steaks- not so great seafood.
Service was ok, the steaks were good, my only concern was that a 20% gratuity was added to the bill without notice or mention. This was for a table of four. 33% of the bill was for the wine. I think this was a bit presumptuous
Our server was outstanding and made the experience even more special.
Last night of our Snowmass ski trip 2020! Great week and an excellent dinner to finish it off! Service was great, aged ribeye was excellent and plenty for me and my hubby to share. Himalayan salt block just topped it off perfectly! Would highly recommend, pricey but worth it.
Music was a bit too loud making conversation difficult....but we were there to eat! 😜
Meh. Turn down the club music please.
I just tried to write a fair and honest review of this restaurant, and my review was DENIED! Therefore, I am lowering my rating of this restaurant and I am quickly losing my trust in OPEN TABLE REVIEWS! If restaurants can CONTROL the kind of reviews they get, then the system is RIGGED! I'm going to try to enter this review and see if it gets published. Suffice it to say, this restaurant seems to be trying to hide something from their customers, and if that is the case, I would say avoid them; there are plenty of other good choice in the SNOWMASS AREA!
Perfect dinner! Highly recommend the ribeye - we shared the 18 ounce with 5 people and ordered a bunch of sides. Great meal!
Incredible bone in ribeye
Waited for a while at the very cramped bar before we got seated but the seats were actually empty and tables were already set.
The server was great and shes perhaps the redeeming quality to the otherwise dismal food.
The food took a long time to come, and when it did, one of the orders were wrong. After a few minutes of us informing the server, the manager came to tell us that the server made a mistake (actually the kitchen did because she repeated her order and the ticket was correct) and if we wanted our original order we would have to wait another 30-40minutes. Without wanting to wait another 30minutes, we took what was offered.
Two of us had the ribeye cap, which came stone cold, I know it’s winter but we should still prefer hot steak.
The sides portion were small and pathetic.
At the end they came and comped our wine, which we greatly appreciate, but didn’t make up much for our disappointing meal. Perhaps we came on the wrong day, all the tables around us were waiting much longer for their food than us.
If they get their kitchen together I think they’d have potential!
They were out of several items that we ordered from the menu and had to substitute. The dining room was cramped, and the service was very slow.
Good food, but small portions and high prices. The online menu pricing is substantially less than the real pricing, which is rather deceiving. For instance, online the Lamb Lollipops was listed as featuring 6 lamb lollipops for $34, but in reality it was 3 lamb lollipops for $48. The child’s steak was listed online for $18, but in reality was $22 and so on. We left with a large bill and empty stomachs.
Expensive small portion
Charming mountain atmosphere and excellent menu. Expensive but worth it.
The husband and I went here for dinner on Christmas Eve. It took 50 minutes for our appetizer to come out, but it was delish (it was the steak squares, but it was three slices of meat - not sure why it’s called squares). The trout needed some sort of sauce - it was pretty dry. Mac and cheese was delish and we got it loaded. Got kiddo carryouts of chicken fingers (battered and fried), fries and Mac and cheese - he didn’t care for the chicken. Our waiter was so nice but overall the Staff was rude and was speaking a foreign language and yelling at one another - a bad culture for sure.
Great food, great wine, nice people. Somewhat pricey but not unreasonable given quality and location. If you’re staying in Snowmass, this is a great choice compared to a trip to Aspen. Highly recommended.
Steak and sides were very good. Ate outside in gorgeous weather, after OCR racing earlier in the day. Service was outstanding. All in all, a very good dining experience.
We really enjoyed their food! Enjoyed the ambiance and service as well. Great place to experience!!!
Couple of friends and I went out for dinner, we had the skirt steak and the dry age ribeye. Both meats were super tender and delicious, some of the best dry age I’ve ever had. The service was great, very attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking to eat steak for dinner.
Besides the "million dollar view", my date and I got to enjoy exquisite service, cozy ambiance, lovely bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and the most flavorful cut there is, the ribeye cap. If you love great food, you will love Little Mammoth Steak House!
I was here on a date with my girlfriend and It was amazing! Food was perfect, just like service!
Terrible food, terrible service, tried to overcharge.
The food was not that great and extremely over priced. The inside of the restaurant is a dump and took almost an hour to get our food and we were the only guests there on a saturday evening. Go somewhere else spend half the money and get a better meal.
We enjoyed our time at Mammoth Steakhouse. The food was prepared well and tasted great! The owner and the waiter were friendly and we recommend it.
Cute little place in Snowmass Village Mall. We were up for part of a holiday weekend and Yelp said this place was great. It was very close to our accommodation so we went for dinner. The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious and well-presented. We loved the patio setting as well - great ambiance. The sides were fabulous but the stuffed burger confused us a bit, as we expected something more of a layered effect once we cut into it. Instead it seemed the “stuffing” ingredients were actually mixed into the patty. This didn’t change the flavors of course, but it would have been more fun if it oozed out when biting or cutting into it. Perhaps the chef could play with it a little - maybe the smoked Gouda could go inside with the bacon and onion to achieve this true-to-term “stuffed” effect. Overall, we were happy and would go back.
Very average is the best thing I can say. I realize this restaurant is located at a ski resort but $50 for basically plain steak is ridiculous. Perhaps it was due to being late in the ski season but the staff seemed very disinterested. Overall very average or worse, not worth the money.
Little Mammoth is the best steak house in Snowmass. Also the crab legs are delicious as well as the seafood bisque. Everything our family and friends have ordered is outstanding. The children's menu is excellent. Little Mammoth has great desserts too! This restaurant is our favorite! The staff is very friendly, respectful and kind.
Great food and great staff. A little off the beaten path. But very worth it.
Although our waiter was nice and friendly and the food we had tasted good, we were a party of 6 with 5 of us wanting beef tenderloin and they were out.......odd for a steak house! The menu is limited so we didn’t have many options..... skirt steak or ribeye. After dinner coffee was cold.....not even warm, it was cold. For $648, I was disappointed.
We recently visited Snowmass to celebrate a friends 60th birthday. I found Little Mammoth through TripAdvisor. Our favorites of the night were the jalapeño goat cheese, steak squares, tuna app, Brussel sprouts and the big a** bone in steak! Delicious!
Truly a find! Phenomenal food and even better staff!
Service was excellent. Wait staff was wonderful. One person in our party had the fish of the day. He complained that it was cold. Prices are steep. We appreciated the convenience to the Weston. All in all a good experience for most.
