We hope to be that third place for you to gather and catch up over a delicious meal and craft cocktails.
Owned and operated by the friendly and energetic couple, Owen and Mindi McGlynn of Asheville Proper, they wanted to create an inviting and easygoing space just for locals, located in North Asheville, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown life.

We had a great experience. We were seated right away, the food was excellent and the service was above average. The only disappointment was the online menu didn't match the actual menu.

Exceptional dining experience, from the drinks to the shareables, the main course and dessert. We had an amazing evening at Little D’s and we extremely pleased we made the reservation. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. We’d highly recommended this place to anyone looking for a nice dining experience with delicious food prepared by a chef that’s clearly interested in presentation and serving exceptional cuisine.

Love Little D's overall. Food is overall very creatively prepared, fresh, and flavorful. Last night however things felt a bit off. We were placed at a table right next to the door with one of the chairs sticking into the walkway at 5:30 p.m. and the restaurant was mostly empty. We did have a reservation but we're told that the restaurant was full which was kind of interesting since it wasn't at the time that we ate. We had four small plates that were each one delicious in their own right. Unfortunately they all came out at once so it was difficult to savor the meal and enjoy spacing things out a bit. I would have wished for the shareables to have been brought out two at a time maximum.. Finally, we have mentioned this before but they never seem to have any decaffeinated herbal teas to serve after the meal. This is the only restaurant in town that I have been to that does not. I'm curious as to why not. Will return and hope for better overall experience.

Very consistent food and service - menu changes frequently and the chef offers some interesting food preparations, all very good. This is a good option for diners close to the neighborhood of North Asheville and is often very busy.

I really enjoyed the beet salad and focaccia. The scallops were good. We enjoyed our cocktails too. This place is quite small which makes it a bit noisy.

Dinner was great. Dessert was ok. Could use better selection and lighter faire. That said dinner was really great!!! And the other three at the table enjoyed their dessert I would definately go again and would order the same seafood items!!!

Our first time at Little D’s. The casual and friendly vibe made us immediately comfortable, but then the food took the experience to another - and somewhat unexpected - level. Simply superb in all regards!
