Lindey's Lakehouse Lakewood
Queso fresco, pico, lime crema
Fourth visit- this time back to normal since my last visit. Thank goodness!
Our first time and we loved it! Covid 19 protocols were in full force - we sat in a corner table with plexiglass screen.
Started with some margaritas, followed by salads and biscuits- all 3 ample sized and delicious.
I enjoyed the salmon on a bed of broccolini and caramelized onions- served piping hot and so good.
Hubby enjoyed a chicken rice dish and practically licked his dish clean.
We splurged on a piece of key lime pie that was big enough for 3, and oh so tangy and lovely !
Service and ambiance were great too!👍🏻😀
Lindeys was a disappointment this time. Came here for a date. Food was cold, drinks took a while and service was mediocre. Granted, we weren’t a needy table- I work in the Los Angeles restaurant industry as an event coordinator— I’m pretty mellow. The Bloody Mary was fantastic. I gotta say that! Our cocktails were disappointing. Both of our meals came without ingredients listed on the menu. Pickles on the chicken sandwich and bearnaise sauce for my steak. The food def sat in the window, I can guarantee that. My steak was room temperature and over cooked but like, cold. Our server was friendly so I don’t want to complain about her. The kitchen and the bar failed though this visit. As I am visiting, I hoped to situate a regular location to frequent while I’m here for the next few months. This is now my third visit and with the menu and food coming out the way it did, I’m reluctant to come back.
Upon arriving we were greeted and seated. Ambiance of the restaurant was so nice. We both enjoyed the dim lights. Food was great. Ran into one small issue and the manager was more than eager to help. The waiter was very straight forward. I have no complaints about her. I believe she was in the process of the restaurant closing. Which is understandable. So we felt a little rushed. Other than that. We had a great time, food was great. We’ll be back.
We drive out of our way to go to the Lakewood one, even though we live close to the downtown one. 5 stars for every catagorie!
Great atmosphere, great food, and great service!
Brought my mum here for a sorta lunch beginning of dinner ordeal with my dog piper. She’s a registered service animal and they didn’t give us any issues! Big ups for that because dogs really do make everyone happier and being from l.a., my dog goes everywhere with me within reason. The food was good, our server was a very nice gal who was attentive but also pleasant. I’ll be back during my visit. Thanks for your service during these hard times.
Nice place. Drinks we’re phenomenal, some of the best I’ve ever had. Great ambiance. Too expensive for what you’re getting food wise.
We loved Lindeys! We had a guacamole for appetizer that was amazing! Then I had fish and chips (best I’ve ever had) and my husband had a steak that he loved. He also had their brown sugar old fashioned that he said was very good. Our server was nice and always around if we needed anything. It was a great experience.
Our server was very pleasant. As busy as it was she was right there. Food was on spot. Hope you stay open!
Always love the food here and it is always fresh. Love the service and servers they are so friendly. They do a wonderful job with COVID too.
First visit and I will go back!
Great atmosphere. Food was yummy! The clear view made us feel safe, but like we were still on the town!
We keep going back because we enjoy the ambiance, service is always attentive, love the selections on the menu, and never had a bad meal there. Can't wait to go back again.
The food was great and our server created an excellent experience. We have been patrons of Lindsey’s on a number of occasions and certainly will continue to do so.
Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the wait staff was friendly and efficient. Well done!
Lindsey's has a great vibe and food. It's ideal for the younger. I say that because the tables are high tops, very high tops. Unless you are in a group of 6 - that is the only way to can have normal seating.
Nice place to hang out. Good food, good drinks. It’d be nice for causal drinks with friends or an evening date night. Either way, very relaxing
Kelsey was terrific, food was amazing and had a wonderful time!
Love the atmosphere and the service , food is outstanding!
Little noisy for my middle aged parents. Otherwise great experience. Key lime pie fantastic was always!
Great experience but service is always iffy.
The restaurant didn’t offer many “vegan friendly” meals, the waitress didn’t really have answers for me when it came to me needing to know how a dish was prepared (weather it had dairy or not). But the Buffalo wings were good.
We were visiting the Cleveland area and someone recommended Lindeys. It was a very quiet evening and the restaurant did not have many people there. The food was excellent. Our server was very patient and had great recommendations for food. A must try are the biscuits. You will not be disappointed.
Lindy’s was not open when we arrived. Perhaps they should revise their hours on Open Table
it was my first time going and definitely will be back. Food was so good and fresh
We had the burger plus beer special - a very fine bargain, too, I would add - and the hot chicken sandwich. The hard cider available (in cans, not on tap) was interesting, and not at all sweet. The service was very good, friendly and accommodating. A nice experience overall. Thank you!
We had reservations for 7pm this evening. We arrived about 7:10. We were seated immediately by the friendly host. About five minutes later our waitress arrived with water and took our drink order. That’s kind of where the relaxing start ended. We ordered an app and it showed up within minutes. While eating the app our waitress who was clearly in a hurry came by to take our orders. Five minutes later our entrees arrived. 10 minutes later our waitress stopped by to offer boxes. Our relaxing dinner was rushed and we were in the car headed home at 8pm. $100 bucks, 45 minutes later.
The food was fine just not sure why the rush or why you are allowing a waitress to not have her mask cover her nose.
The food was very good but a little too much salt and seasoning for my taste
Lindey's is quite the gem in Lakewood. Great setting for a dining experience, including a comfortable atmosphere, good service, and a great food/drink menu. A definite must-visit.
Great food!!! Had a wonderful time with friends!
Our drinks were beautiful, the bartender was friendly and skilled in her art and made delicious drinks. We ordered the shrimp, calamari, and guacamole...all were delicious, just the right amount of heat and the guac was one of the best I've had. My daughter cannot wait to go back for more of the Ahi Tuna bowl, my veggie burger was the BEST and most amazing, my husband almost licked his plate clean from the Lobster Mac n Cheese!! Our server was accommodating and super friendly! DESSERT was killer: Key Lime pie like no other and warm chocolate chip cookies!! AHHHMAZING!
My wife and I enjoy Lindey's in the Flats and we expected a similar experience in Lakewood but I was a bit let down. When we first walked in, the hostess seemed a little annoyed but we had made a reservation and were seated quickly as it was mostly empty. When our waitress came up, I don't recall ever hearing her name, she just asked if she could get us drinks or if we needed some time. My wife and I asked for a couple minutes to look over the menu. After a couple minutes we were decided and she was rather prompt with her return and took our drink order, which came back rather quickly. My house margarita was quite good, so kudos to the bartender. Our server also took our order at this time but never explained if there were specials, which for a weekend I found rather odd.
When our food came, I was excited because I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, a beautifully delicate fish. It looked gorgeous, but when I took that first bite, I could tell this wasn't the freshest fish. It wasn't fishy enough that I would have sent it back, but it was a bit of a disappointment. The sauteed spinach that the fish sat on also tasted a bit on the fishy side and the sesame oil was overpowering and seemed to be fighting the soy-sherry "sauce" that everything sat in, which just came off as super salty. While we ate, I was expecting our waitress to check in on us but she never did until after we had finished eating, even though she walked by a couple of times and even sat a table behind us. When we left, the hostess was sitting down behind her counter with her feet up on the counter.
This is also a more personal thing, but in the men's restroom I was a bit shocked to find they had a picture hung up that I found rather inappropriate for a restaurant that has "family" photos all over the dining room; it was certainly not a picture I'd like my kids to see, I'll just leave it at that.
Our first time and we had the best experience! We will be back!
Timing of food was too quick, appetizers came out and entree followed 5 minutes later.
Not a good beer tap selection.. Clean, upbeat, good food and service!!!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Lindey's Lake House last week. The garage door windows were open, so we felt safe as we dined next to one of these large windows, as we were practically dining outdoors. The food was outstanding! The gazpacho soup was about the best I have every enjoyed, and the fish & chips were piping hot, with generous portions. The fish fillets were lightly battered, so flavor of the fish was not masked by the batter. The shoestring potatoes were crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside and were delicious. Our server was somewhat slow in delivering our food and our check, but fortunately we were not in a hurry. We look forward to our next dining experience at Lindey's while the weather still is good and the garage door windows are open.
Our first time visiting, and it was a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back!
Food and service was great! I would recommend Lindey’s Lakehouse and will be returning again!
