Our overall experience was good. We ate inside due to a wait for outside seating at 6:45 on a Sunday evening (did not see people waiting). It took 15-20 minutes for the server to come over. We asked to order at that time so we would not have to wait again. Our salads and zucchini sticks appetizer came out soon after we ordered. The zucchini sticks were thick and not cooked enough. We ordered the creamy Tuscan chicken, salmon piccata and eggplant Parmesan. There wasn’t a lot of chicken or spinach in the chicken dish. The eggplant dish was in a boat as described but the breaded shell was hard.
The food was just ok. We probably won’t be back.
Was seated promptly and very excited for our first visit to limoncellos , I knew it was a Larkins owned establishment and has high expectations. There was a wait before our server ever showed up , now during this time period I cut a lot of slack for this. Times are different now . We ordered our beverages and the garlic knot appetizer.
The appetizer was served quickly and was so so , the knots were very dense ,but okay. We order our entrees and a salad .
After about 20 minutes or so , I asked about our salads , I was informed by our server he didn’t know we wanted them before our entree as he assumed we wanted it all together. Not the best response but I started thinking not an upscale spot to be at .
He salads were good and then our entrees arrived very quickly lol . Ordered the lasagna and my wife got the chicken Marsala . My lasagna came in a dish , much like a fast food Italian place would do , not the end of the world but below my expectations. My wife did not enjoy her dish at all other than the chicken. The pasta was spaghetti and not angel hair or other thin pasta.
I think had I not assumed a larkins restaurant would always be the top of the line , I believe I would have enjoyed it more. Lower expectations here would suffice. I will not go back here as I know many Italian restaurants that always blow my mind and in this day and time it is probably best to support those then venture out based on a name.
The host could not find our reservation. Even after I showed the email confirmation. He said it was no problem to seat us but first chose a table obviously meant for late arrivals. We asked for a different table. Later we discussed the problem with the assistant manager who apologized and found our original reservation. Our booth location was fine, but had to work to get it.
Our entree selections were less than perfect. The shrimp preseco was pretty unflavorful. The chicken Alfredo was bland. The eggplant Parmesan was OK. I would think a good Italian restaurant should have fresh Parmesan grated at the table. And certainly ground pepper available.
Calamari was good and desserts were great! Wine was good although selection was limited.
Overall a disappointing experience.
Food and service was good. Very disappointed in the happy hour beer. $3 Beer should be a full size glass , not sippy cup size… Went on to spend and tip a total of $90 for two, a full size happy hour beer is not too much to ask. Cannot recall having a beer glass that small in decades.
Amazing experiences experience. We enjoyed outside dinning. Food and drinks were exceptional. Apple Mule is a must.
The best pizza and salads. Excellent taste and value!
Food was excellent! Service was spot on! Definitely, will be a returning customer!
Went to try food in order to book large party. Food was so poor I would not bring my guests there.
Food is really good. Average price for entree is over $20. Service was mediocre for this level restaurant.
Setting was good and the atmosphere was good as well. Would recommend to anyone who would want good Italian in Greenville.
The service was great. The food was very good, and a fun casual environment. I will definitely go back again.
Great food and atmosphere
A beautiful night for outdoor eating. Our waiter Steve was very attentive and professional. I had the Lemoncello and it was fabulous. I have never had l have never had lemoncello liquer with proseco. Really refreshing! Margarita pizza was one of the best we've had.
Beautiful outdoor setting before the show at Peace Center. I would definitely recommend!
Went here for my birthday dinner. Paula was our server and she was awesome! The shrimp Prosecco capellini was delicious, as well as the Limoncello cocktail. And for dessert, we recommend the fried donut. We will definitely be returning!
Our waitress was exceptional! She was very good and even anticipated our needs and took great care of us!
So good to be back in one of my favorite pre-show restaurants...Thanks so much...
Our waitress took approx 15-20 min to arrive at our table thereafter waitress advised that our appetizer garlic knots were 86 because it was doughy and mush. Then after placing our order the entrees came first before the salads plus the salad was warm not fresh. Chicken parmigiana was burnt Sad very sad last visit. For the price it would have been better at longhorn steakhouse.
Patio dining on a lovely day. And despite a slow kitchen during the festival weekend, the food and service was attentive and tasty.
Loved the service! Our waiter made sure me and my fiancé had a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend for date night or girls night! Atmosphere was top notch.
Incredible food, so we’ll definitely try again. Extremely poor service. We sat down at our table at 7:10. Our server came to the table for the FIRST time at 7:35 (we were literally ab to say something to the hostess) and we didn’t get our entree until 8. Tables seated WELL AFTER us were getting their check when our entree came out. Since the food was phenomenal, the outdoor atmosphere lovely (inside was too loud for conversation), and the other tables seemed to have great service- we’ll give it another go.
The food was good...eggplant very tasty and the thin pizza equally good. Service lacking in terms of promptness...time to get to our table, dinner arrival long, had to track down the server to get our check, etc. But she was very nice about it.
We were disappointed in our dinner at Limoncello. The food was no more than average Italian. We can get better at many local restaurants. Our bread came out about twenty minutes late. The high point was the Limoncello flight which was fun. But with a check of nearly a hundred dollars, including a generous, undeserved tip, we should have had much better.
We had a wonderful dinner at Limoncello last night. The wine prices were reasonable and dinner options were good.
First time eating at Limoncello! Atmosphere and food were both excellent.
Staff is friendly and helped make sure we were on time for the show at the Peace Center.
First time diner at this venue. Very personable hostess and wait staff. We should have been mad aware that Martini ordered was not eligible for Happy Hour as menu had led us to believe that ALL DRINKS were. Food came out very promptly, well presented and hot (salad of course was correctly cold). But, too too long to get salt+pepper+parmigiana brought to table as well as to have folio with credit card processed to close out bill.
Food was very tasty. Great pasta - must have been in-house made (or at least fresh from other local supplier)
Service was very good and the food was excellent. It was my first time to dine there, and the waiter did a great job in answering our questions.
The service was quite slow. The server may have been new as he did not know much about the menu items or happy hour specials. The food was good but not as good as on previous visits.
Friends helping to celebrate our anniversary. Loud noise basically came from ambulance runs upside street.
Dined outside with friends on a beautiful Saturday evening. All the food was expertly prepared and delicious—from the house made Caesar dressing to the incredible tiramisu at the end! I’ve had my share of tiramisu in my day and this was definitely one of the best. We had a variety of pasta dishes and one pizza. All were outstanding. We will definitely be going again—this was our first visit to Limoncello and we were very impressed. Highly recommend!
This is a wonderful place to eat and enjoy a meal. We loved it Thank you for a wonderful opportunity.
We ordered chicken Marsala and it was not near the Olive Garden’s . Plus it was almost double the price !
Was booked for our anniversary dinner , I stayed this in my open table reservation. Despite the outdoor and indoor NOT being crowded we were sat in an obscure, outer border table away from lights at a table that rocked the entire time . I ordered coffee , Was brought to me ice cold … the second cup was hot didn’t taste fresh at all and my creamer was not refilled or offered. Our appetizer was still cool enough inside the cheese was but melted, I really should have returned but we ate it cold . Our entree was lukewarm and decent .. I would not recommend this establishment nor would I return , for as empty it was I think could have seated us better and if you can’t microwave the food enough to make it hot , don’t bring to the table . Especially for a special occasion. I regret not keeping the other reservation I had .
Salmon Piccata was good. Zucchini strips were poor.
Meatballs were good. House salad was good. The $32 Chardonnay was better than it’s price point. Inside seating was very loud. Service was good.
It remains our go to place before going to Center Stage.
I wish we could've sat outside. Spaghetti and meatballs were good but not overly flavorful. Great red sangria!
The drinks and ambiance were really good. I had calamari and a pizza. The food was just ok. I’d go back for drinks and appetizers.
Food was fabulous!!!!! Love the expanded outside area!!!!!
Definitely a Greenville favorite!!!!!
Loved the atmosphere. Made resevervations for 3 for dinner prior to attending Greenville Theater. Ate inside (chill in the air) at a booth next to the windows. Great views, space was very open and relaxing.
Server was very friendly and made great suggestions. Only complaint with the food the meatballs were dry. Definitely will recommend and plan on returing.
Cocktails (very dry vodka martinis) were excellent. Service from Chris was exceptional. Food was just okay. Roasted veggie pasta and shrimp prosecco capellini could have been more flavorful. Both were unexciting.
Sat outside. Could be improved with more ability to tilt umbrellas toward afternoon sun. But it is what it is and we realize there would be a significant cost to that.
