I will make this my goto Peruvian food spot from now on!
Food was awesome but our table was upstairs near a very large bus station. Ruins the vibe.
Would totally return and ask to be downstairs.
The food was not as good as it had been in the past. I found out the restaurant switched chef’s and the taste and presentation of the food showed it. This used to be my favorite place. I’m disappointed!
Very disappointed in the food. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but this was a special and it was not good.
I’m a repeat customer. Phenomenal food, service and great value. Though “high energy” place (noise level a little high), great place to plan for celebration dinner/get together.
Great food, very loud hard to hear others
Excellent service and very appealing menu
I've had decent experiences at Limon but this was by far the worst:
1) 6:30p dinner and 4 staple menu items were unavailable/out of stock
2) Tapas and dinner not served to temp: fries cold and soggy, signature chicken super dry and tough...
3) waiter was friendly but not attentive
The chicken is still good, except that sometimes you get your roast chicken without the skin (not sure why) when it is what makes the chicken good. Also service can be slow since it can be crowded on weekends so you need to give it at least 2.5 hours or more for lunch if you will also order dessert.
Excellent food and they use Open Table which I love!
Very busy but food came out fast and tasted excellent
Reservations seem pointless here. On a crowded Saturday night if you show up at your reservation time apparently you will have to wait 30+ minutes to be seated but there is nowhere to wait. If you stand at the bar you will have to move every few minutes because there is no space for waitstaff to walk. Excellent food but overpriced drinks and loud, cramped restaurant will make us think twice about going there again.
Always great food and lively atmosphere. Every dish has been very good.
Fun,good drinks, poor food
The food was very good. A little noisy and there were not many people. But over all great!
Usually have a great experience here, but went with a large group and the service was horrific.
Great food selection and the vibe of the place was festive. Wasn't necessarily conductive to an extended conversation, but I think that was primarily my wife/my issue.
Best ceviche ever. I had the arroz con mariscos and that was super delicious as well.
The food is great! I dont like the sitting area its too tight when u are in the wall part its hard to go to the bathroom
Millennial sons BD celebration. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Not one bad dish! Ceviche trio, rib eye steak, Paiejja, beet salad, and three desserts!
Very nice, good food, great drinks and wonderful service!
Ceviche and roast chicken the best
Always good! Love the ceviche & the sauces. Tables are a little too close to each other.
Great Food , dood service! We had a great time!
We had lunch for the first time 2/13/2020, a party of 4. A very big THANK YOU to waitress Delane for being kind, and very accommodating to our friend who has serious food allergies. She went above & beyond what we could have expected. We had empanandas, rotisserie chicken, and the most delicious pulpo we ever had! Definitely coming back since we live in Walnut Creek and will definitely ask to sit in Delane's section!!!
This is an amazing place! Every time we come it just gets better and better
My last experience was 50/50. The food is still good, although they changed the presentation of some of their food like the arroz mariscos. The service was horrible. I understand it is full house, but she could have done better. Also, we asked her to separate the to go bill from our eat in, but she combined it...perhaps for a bigger tip for which she is not worth?
Food was really good and different - loved the mixto ceviche and the Smokey Limón cocktail. Empanadas were outstanding. We sat upstairs and it was CRAZY hot up there (in the middle of winter) and the noise level was deafening. I’d recommend sitting outside on the patio if you want to have any conversation. Server was ok but no personalized service at all - very compulsory, which is a bummer given that the menu had lots of unfamiliar food and drinks that needed some explanation.
Hostess was not that friendly.
We made reservation for dinner and arrived 30 minutes early. We were told we can be seated, but had to leave in an hour. I didn't think this was an In & Out restaurant.
First time eating there. Fortunately the weather was nice enough to allow us to sit outside. Inside the noise was unbearable. We would not have stayed if the only available seating had been inside. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not kid friendly. They do not have food options for children, not even beverages except for water.
Went to lunch with a couple of friends. Server was nice but not attentive. Twice someone brought food to our table that we didn’t order. Disorganized? Rotisserie chicken is the house specialty. Two of us had dark meat it was boring and dry. No spices came with Peruvian sauce on side. Empanadas were good same sauce as the chicken. Menu seemed limited to me and offered mostly dishes with chicken and rice. Just okay.
Everyone at our table was served at different times and the food was overcooked and didn't have much flavor. I have been here a few times now and sadly I have had poor experiences each time. Great atmosphere but the food and service don't match up. Sadly, I won't be back.
Good value for the money. Ceviches were outstanding.
Love it, but it was so loud. Hard to hear anything.
We have always enjoyed dinner at Limon, but Saturday night's dinner was disappointing for the first time. My entree was so salty that I could not eat even a third of it. The noise level was deafening, and the whole evening was not my expectation of Limon. We will try it again, of course, but if things don't improve, we'll find another favorite restaurant.
We were a party of 8 and specifically requested a quiet table. The restaurant was so loud that we were unable to socialize with our guests except for the couple immediately next to us and even then, we had to yell. After the meal the entire group commented on the ringing in their ears from the noise. After this experience I am sorry to say we will not be returning.
The food is very good and well priced. The service is outstanding. The noise level is in the stratosphere even early in the evening. Lots of customers get take-out. I will do that next time to enjoy the food and avoid the noise.
The food was really good and the staff was helpful
