The servers were lovely. I ordered the Ceviche Trio, Chicharonnes de pollo, Pulpo (octopus), and the Truffle Mac and cheese. Washed it down with their amazing Sangria!
Seated 30 minutes after reservation time. Instead of treat as customer treated as a chore.
Once seated server was excellent.
Carne empanada was good, chicken empanadas ok, short ribs were tough.
Little too crammed in for my liking, which also make the place really noisy
Had to wait 15 minutes after my reservation time for a table. No mention of my birthday although added to reservation. Rude hostess.
This was the best civiche we've had. The octopus, empanadas and chicken were also great! Feels like we're back in SF!
They originally put us upstairs. You felt like you were in a different restaurant. We asked to be moved downstairs and they were annoyed. It was a completely different experience once we relocated. Well worth the hassle. Food was outstanding!!!
Great food, but a bit to noisy to be able to carry on any conversation.
We were seated on the lower level in the middle of the room. It was quite noisy. We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night. We did have some challenges with our waiter, when we asked him questions, we had to repeat the questions several times. We've eaten at Limon for lunch and dinner and walked away with great comments on the food and service, this was just an off night.
Great food! The sangria was simple and tasted ok, but, for the price, I would have expected more than just chopped apple. The service could have been better. But, overall, the food was delicious and I would return for it!
I love the roasted chicken!!!
Excellent pisco maracuya.
Chicken, sangria and green beans were delicious
The empanadas were delicious, the sangria good. There was a loud humming noise, though, that made it hard for us seniors to converse. The service was quick and very friendly.
Very nice dinner with excellent pisco sours. It is very loud in the restaurant and takes away a bit from the dining experience. We will return as fish was very fresh and service excellent.
Limon was an excellent place for dinner. It was quite noisy, however. But, overall, quite enjoyable.
Very good food. Restaurant could get loud, but that's because is very lively crowd, which I enjoy!
Food and service was good. A bit too noisy. Has been noisy in past visits. I believe it is how the restaurant is structured. I will not go if meeting friends and trying to have a conversation.
So I have to say I really enjoyed the food. This was our first time at the Walnut Creek location.
My only "complaints" were as follows.
Our food came out extremely quick, all of our plates were on the table within 10 minutes of ordering. We had asked if things get coursed out, and we were told yes...There was no coursing, just get the food on the table as fast as the kitchen could put it out. Granted, everything was tasty.
It was a Saturday night, and the server asked every time he walked by if we wanted another drink, are you ready for another drink...I understand asking once, but when I continue to say "no, I'm good", just let it go.
I know these are minor things, and like I said the food was great. But it's a review and that's what I took away from the visit.
Excellent service. Food is consistently delicious. A little noisy.
What a wonderful meal! The best chicken I’ve ever eaten!
Fun atmosphere great dood
Best meal in Walnut Creek! Worth the money.
We had been to the other restaurant in SF before. The menu here is different where is is more of the full plate dining style instead of tapas style. Food was wonderful with lots of flavors and nice presentation. The volume inside the restaurant is a bit loud because it is one open space where sound travels. This is not a place to have a quiet dinner, but rather a place to get together with friends for a fun evening out with exceptional food.
One of the best restaurants in the bay!! Wonderful place to bring the whole family. ♥️
Great food & great service. Please keep up the good work in WC!
Great service, great drinks and delicious food! What more could you ask for!
The food is amazing. We were there at 7:00 on a Friday night and it was extremely load
We always enjoy the paella and roasted chicken. Just delicious!
WAY too loud to enjoy my meal. Doubt I'll go back.
Between the four of us we had 4 cocktails, 1 diet coke, 4 orders of empanadas (appetizers), 2 sauteed string bean side dishes, 1 order regular fries, 1 chicken entre, 1 fish entre, two entre beet and potatot salads, and 1 seafood rice dish. The food is quite good for the price. The empanadas vary some, with the beef having the most flavor and the cheese ones being very mild. Two empanadas per order. One order per person is a decent appetizer. the main dishes (salads and other dishes) were all well prepared and portion-generous. The cocktails are not short on alcohol and well prepared. Service was a bit understaff but still managed to serve us very efficiently and pleasantly. We would give this restaurant five stars based on quality/portion/price combination but for one big problem: noise. None of us could hear across our small table, so dinning was the sound. Please- put up some fabric to absorb some of the sound. Can still have a good profitable buzz without making it necessary to should at 80 db. Price for the meal with 18% tip was $235. Good for a group of five in Walnut Creek.
Definitely a go-backer. Only slightly negative is the noise level.
Brought my mother here for her 70th birthday and wow was it good. We dined on the empanadas and I had an amazing rib eye that was marinated and so perfectly cooked I can't wait to have it again. The amount of care they took to make sure we were ok was another fantastic part of our visit, the staff checked in on us as often as they could and mad sure my mother was ok our whole time dining. Can't wait to return and bring friends.
Good service, delicious food!! 😋 ......................................................!
I really wanted to like this restaurant after reading the reviews. I travel to Peru a few years ago and had the opportunity to eat the wonderful food. This restaurant unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The server was very nice, but in the end she could not make up for the food. we had the braised short ribs and the triple ceviche-both of which were only OK.
The beet salad was very bland. Needed more spice/salt. Didn’t pair very good with the potatoes. The lomo saltado was a bit too salty and the gravy sauce is not authentic to Peruvian lomo. My husband is half Peruvian. Overall the service is always 100%. Staff is friendly and fast service.
Food was very flavorful and servings were very generous. Would definitely come again as there are quite a few items on the menu I want to try.
Service was meh
Music was loud for midday Sunday meal
Great food and service, that place is so nice the price is really great, definitely I do recommend!!!
This place is great! The food and drinks are delicious and the service is great as well. Would totally come back again.
The restaurant was crowded, but it was a Saturday night in Walnut Creek, so what else is new? We arrived promptly for our 6:15 reservation. Our table wasn't ready but we waited at the bar, where staff was attentive and the drinks (Smoky Limon and Mosquito) were delicious. Around $14 each. About 6:25 we were seated and ordered. Food was great - my Lomo Saltado beef was fork tender, and lots of great fresh flavor. Overall service was good. Value is fantastic for the quality. Great place for a date before a night at the Lesher or out on the town.
