The menu choices were limited. There were more offerings of appetizers than entrees.
It was beautiful, great staff and food
The worst service we have received probably ever at a restaurant! Our Waiter John literally came up to us and asked "What do you want"? when taking our order. He had his arms crossed the whole time and made what should have been a special evening out with my husband into a very uncomfortable experience that we couldn't wait to leave. Another table actually got up and left due to his lack of care and service. It was very unfortunate & felt the whole Claremont Hotel in general has gone downhill.
Our server made the night special. He gave great recommendations.
Went for Brunch with my Father and arrived a little early. Outdoor seating while we waiting was provided. Great service, friendly staff. Easy outside dining with great view.
Attention to detail. Promptness. Over service. Was race a factor?
Despite the COVID protocols, the Limewood did an amazing job of making us feel welcome, serving amazing food, and creating a beautiful ambiance. I will definitely be back!
Very limited menu, food was just okay. Desserts weren’t great. Limited selection of hard alcohol. With covid we sat in a parking lot. Not worth the cost.
Love Limewood! Our waiter was kind and the spacing of tables inside felt safe. As usual food was amazing. So glad to have this restaurant back.
Very limited menu
The whole fosh was not completely cooked
Need to invest in outdoor heaters on the patio.
Food was late due to getting wrong order. Appetizers were never placed u til after dinner arrived.
Outdoor heating lamp was supposed to be turned on but it wasn’t until second time we asked. It wasn’t done intentional just careless.
Very little for vegetarians- not too impressed with the food in relation to the price. The rockfish was excellent. The fried chicken was mediocre at any price.
Fabulous drinks! Limewood doesn't have a long menu, but I enjoyed the shrimp & polenta dish as a starter and then the hamburger with cheese - both great dishes. But the drinks really stand out. A good time for the four of us.
ordered Lox and Bagels..came without cream cheese....asked for a side of cream cheese but was informed the restaurant does not have any!!!!????
We had an amazing brunch and dinner experience at Limewood. Our servers were both awesome. Robert and Jacob both did outstanding jobs. They made our experience memorable and fun. The food was exquisite. We were very impressed that we were able to meet the Executive Chef. We will definitely be coming back and cannot wait to plan our next meal at Limewood.
Sitting on the patio with the amazing views and martini in hand. Add to that great service and yummy smashed burger.
Service was good but the tent wasn’t up to your standards. I know it’s covid but it wasn’t what I expected
I expected more from the food. The menu was limited and the entrees were not very special. Almost all choices were heavy and not very healthy. I got the pasta with crab and it needed salt and a little kick. The waitstaff were friendly and the view terrific! High prices for not so special food.
I think the menu need to be have a little bit more choice!
Beautiful!! Lovely warm evening. Made for a great place to take out-of-town friends!
Great views, friendly servers, enjoyed the smashed burger (guilty treat!). Thanks!
Breathtaking views with balcony dining. Excellent service and appreciated the “special “ offerings for brunch. Food was top notch.
My soft scrambled eggs with salmon were the peak of creamy perfection. The French toast was luscious as was the burger. However the frittata was too dense and under seasoned.
The service was horrific: reservation wasn’t ready, after we were seated, the waiter did not ask for a drink order for 20 minutes. He didn’t have a drink menu to show us. He couldn’t have shown less interested in servicing us. I ordered the pear and arugula salad which was inedible because it was so saturated with salt.
I really hesitate to criticize restaurants and servers, especially given all they've gone through over the past year. However, Limewood's service was so exceptionally bad that I figure it's worth recapping the experience. My brother drove up from Southern California for his 30th birthday, and I thought it would be nice to treat him to some beautiful views and dinner. The evening started off great, Limewood carefully followed social distancing protocols, the porch was beautiful, and the hostess hospitable.
It was the service that made what should have been a nice evening memorable in the wrong way. The server was actively hostile, pointing and not using full sentences, standing behind us to talk, answering questions gruffly, and seemingly getting angered by our presence. At one point we discussed how could order drinks ($18 cocktails) in a way that wouldn't further upset him. The food was bland and overpriced, but I would have been happy spending the hundreds of dollars if we'd felt welcome. Unfortunately, we could have gone to 7-eleven and for just as good a meal and a better experience.
Amazing ambiance and views of the Bay, including the Golden Gate Bridge.
Gosh - we really looked forward to last night - first time in 6/months we felt safe enough to go out as a family.
There is so much potential - great views - big outdoor tent - but alas, service was super nice but dishes just built up on the table - shrimp in the polenta appetizer were undercooked (oh not good). And whole thing was cold. I had a great half chicken dish (reasonably priced at $30) but my husband had a pasta and crab dish for $50 that was maybe a cup of pasta and 1 tablespoon of crab - crazy. Our teenager had a really great burger and a decent price (expected for lime wood/Fairmont).
We are so grateful for staff etc... but hey, pick up the ridges and put a 3 actual crab legs on top of the pasta - then. Just fine.
If you like delicious food and dining alfresco with a panoramic view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, this place is for you.
Get rid of the smash burgers, they were dry and misshapen and make a regular juicy burger. Green beans were overcooked; vegetable frigate was bland.
Beautiful setting - I felt the staff was not prepared for the number of guests dining there that day.
Very very limited options for vegan and Veg food. I would say 2. And they tasted HORRIBLE!
Delicious food! Awesome views! and even better service!
Love the place and the view, but we got disappointed by the food.
Server was awful. Very slow. We were the only table that had not been served food (there were only 3 tables out in the tent). The server took about 30 min to get our wine and then poured the first glass spilling on table. Noticed there was cork in it and fished it out with a fork. Then we drank it and sat for almost 45 more min before he came back to offer another bottle. I’m not sure why he was so slow bc there were no other tables eating. We prob would have ordered several bottles but bc he never came back we ended up leaving and going somewhere else. For the price we paid, it was not worth it.
Excellent whole grilled fish, very good dessert. Good quality wine by the glass.
Beautiful views of San Francisco.
Our meal was incredible. We had brunch on the patio and enjoyed the exquisite views. The new menu used the finest ingredients and dishes were superbly prepared. And the brunch cocktails were excellent too!
What a beautiful location and great service! The food was amazing.
Poor service, poor heating on patio and food overpriced and very limited menu.
would not return or recommend.
