The food was excellent, but the portions are very small, and very expensive. One of the people in our party did not enjoy the coctails.
My favorite spot for bubbles and oysters. Come at sunset for the most amazing view.
What could be nicer than a delicious dinner overlooking the San Francisco Bay! Thank you to the chef and the wonderful staff!
Many tables open but were not allowed to choose. Hot tea served in a paper cup. Waiter was uncomfortably talkative. Main thing though is that Entree selections quite limited and way, way overpriced. Had 4 medium scallops with a sauce and 6 tiny bite sized pieces of vegetable, for $30, and that was among the least expensive Entree options. Even though the view is good, I would not choose to return, just too overpriced for a place that has a very informal feel, average decor, & average service.
Great for Father’s Day!
Father’s Day brunch- delicious, soft, not -too -sweet French toast. The No-frills smash burger, had a great tasting bun; wished there were more tomatoes and onions or other condiments for burger.
Very disappointed with the quality of the food given the price point. Server was not attentive.
Mario the server’s distain for us is palpable. He didn’t want us, there so we left. We are Asian. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it but it sure felt like it.
My elderly Asian mother ordered a wine. The server sighed and roll his eyes.
We enjoyed our brunch on Saturday. The staff was very friendly, and we were given a table outside with a view.
All in all it was a very pleasant afternoon.
Great view, nice service, average food, way overpriced
We had a reservation for the outdoor deck with a view that we had made a couple weeks in advance. Unfortunately, upon arrival we were told we were to be seated in the parking lot. After being shown to our table we opted not to stay and they quickly offered us another seat closer to the building at a fire pit. At least the view was better but it wasn't a real table and the food got cold quickly. Our waiter did a good job of helping us make the most of it and order the right wine.
Food is good but since complete reopening post pandemic I had expected the food to be back to it's original quality but sadly, it was not. The menu prices has increased but the quality did not match the increase. The wait staff is also not as pleasant or efficient as it had been in the past. We ordered steak/frites, asparagus, branzino and ended with lemon tart. Nothing spectacular about any of the dishes but enjoyable nonetheless. The location and parking safety of the Claremont hotel was why we selected Limewood.
The view is amazing, but we were very disappointed with the quality AND the amount of food. We realize that prices have gone up overall, but the servings were incredibly small, much smaller than we're used to. And the quality was not as high as it used to be. I think I would only go back for a drink and appetizers, not a full meal.
The waiter misunderstood that we were sharing an appetizer and brought it and one main. He would have caught it if he ever came to check on us.
My water glass was also not refilled.
It did seem busy.
We finally had to hail him down to ask about the issue and ask for an order of bread.
Reserved outdoor seating thinking we’d be seated on the deck and ended up seated in the parking lot parklet. Not my idea for a special occasion brunch.
Food and service always excellent. It's a little steep in price, but at least the quality and portions are good.
When we signed up for “outdoors”, we thought we would be seated on the terrace. Unfortunately, they created large COVID outdoor seating in the parking lot which were not nearly as nice. The food was average.
The only reason we went to this restaurant was to enjoy the view I specifically called them and ask to sit on the patio but when we went there they said it’s not available. We even told them we can wait but they said no it will take few hours. We ended up sitting in a tent with no view and very bad service. Probably won’t go there anytime soon.
Table of four shrieking women absolutely ruined the meal.
We made this reservation requesting seating on the patio, which has spectacular view. This was the reason we came to this restaurant. We were sat in what they call the “bungalow” which is basically a tent covered section of the parking lot - no view. We were told that selecting “patio” when reserving just means outdoors. This is very misleading especially when people come expecting that their request to sit on the stunning patio is actually a parking lot. Seating options should be made more clear at time of reservation. The food was mediocre. We asked for no-dairy on the garden salad which came with yogurt - yes, that’s dairy!
Brunch was good but it should have been hotter. They should heat the plates. The fried chicken was delicious, the corn pancake underneath was tepid.
Service was poor. Had plates cleared abruptly before food was finished. It happened so quickly, we couldn't even respond. Generally felt rushed. Server wasn't knowledgeable about menu. Food was solid but not great. Would return for a glass of wine and oysters but that's it.
We actually didn't stay for a meal. For us the parking lot structure was uninviting and both the drink and food menus were extremely limited and unappealing. Disappointed as we had high hopes and were staying at the Claremont so looked forward to the convenience of dining at this location.
Food tasted good, yet left us ill after eating. ruined the overall experience.
Em, John, Laney and the staff are the absolute best!
Our server was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. However it took a very long time for us to get our food even though I just ordered a salad and my friend a frittata.
Don’t get the cauliflower entree!
They now have a ridiculous 90 min max policy which makes wanting to go there not very attractive. Hard to bring friends there for a nice eve out when you have to rush through the experience. Terrible policy. Won’t go back.
It would have been nice to have been offered a paper menu.
I asked for outside, was told that afternoon via phi e confirmation that only fire pits were available. Then when taken to the table that was not at the window and had to ask for a window table. We passed an outside balcony with empty tables but were told we could not sit there. Crab pasta should have been with fettuccine and a creamier sauce.
Great location with spectacular views, fog-willing. Good, limited cocktails, and was pleased to be able to request and receive a slight adjustment to my ingredients to fit my taste. The menu is limited to maybe 6-8 entrees, with only 1 vegetarian entree, so navigating dietary preferences and food sensitivities can be a challenge, and while the food was great, the portions were relatively small compared to the price, so we may not be back for food in future.
Terrific, elegant location to host a small business dinner. Service was excellent and food was delicious! Will definitely return!
LOVED our experience! The Vegetable Salad was insanely tasty and M our server was the sweetest and funnest server we have had at any restaurant in a long time!
Appetizers came after the entrees and the drinks were seriously
Great meal! Glad they're open again.
Nice job using all of the space and still making it feel safe.
Great Buttermilk Pancakes & chicken. Will go back just for that
We were given dinner menus and didn’t know until they took our order. The dinner selection was far preferable than the limited brunch menu. Service staff seemed overwhelmed and there was always a wait for anything. Our main server seemed annoyed with us simply ordering. My guess is that going back and forth from the kitchen to outdoors can be a pain. The food was so pricey, despite being incredibly basic. My Bloody Mary was flat without any kick. They were out of all dessert options except the lemon tart and sorbet. Our reservation was right when they opened, so I have no idea how that was possible. Bill was way too high for the lack of food and lack of service.
I mentioned it was my husband’s birthday in my reservation and he was also opening presents at the table. No staff said happy birthday to him. The little things could’ve softened the blow.
The grilled whole fish (branzino) was excellent, and the steak frites and grilled asparagus with shitakes were very good, as well. Our server was very nice, but not quite professional/polished. Heat lamp (plus a blanket for me) kept us warm, but getting closer to the heat lamp meant facing away from the view, unfortunately.
Tasty food, beautiful views, terrific service. Try the lamb chop and prawn appetizers, the garden salad, and the lemon tart.
Personnel greetings were friendly
They were very gracious in providing us with alternative seating. If you like orange juice you must order a glass
Food was great however our server was very rude, was not interested in serving us and continued to make odd comments. Had to flag him down every time and he had to ask us what food had already come out / needed to still come out. For a high-end restaurant, I would not go back and spend that much money on that little service.
