The combination of Peru’s rich biodiversity and unique cultural influences from East Asia & Europe, have made LIMA one of the most exciting gastronomic capitals of the world.

Brothers Gabriel and Jose Luis Gonzalez opened LIMA in Fitzrovia in 2012 as a window to Peru’s emerging gastronomy. They wanted to bring the cuisine’s vibrancy and soul to London. Over a decade later, the LIMA team are privileged to serve the finest Peruvian flavours at LIMA in Fitzrovia, LIMA CANTINA, and here at LIMA SHOREDITCH, located at the Sun Street Hotel.

Located just a short walk from Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street rail and tube stations, LIMA SHOREDITCH brings LIMA’s classic dishes alongside new menu creations. The menu offers a modern take on traditional Peruvian cooking with references to Nikkei cuisine and Chifa (a blend of Japanese and Chinese cooking techniques with native Peruvian produce).

Super friendly service! We were late for our reservation and the staff was fantastic about it. As we were in a hurry to see a play afterwards, they made sure our food arrived very quickly. The food was very good as well as the Pisco sours!

Beautiful interior. Excellent friendly service from everyone we encountered. The drinks and food were delicious and good value for money. We enjoyed the ambience. I will definitely return.

Great food and attentive and friendly service. We were there in a Tuesday after a bank holiday so quiet but usually buzzing. Ribeye marinaded and mash was outstanding.

I had a great experience dining here! The food was delicious—flavorful, fresh, and truly authentic Peruvian cuisine. You can really taste the care in each dish. The restaurant had a lovely vibe—relaxed but still stylish—and I liked that it was located inside a hotel, which gave it a touch of elegance and convenience. Overall, a wonderful spot to enjoy a genuinely Peruvian meal in a warm and welcoming setting. Highly recommend!

A lovely setting to enjoy some extraordinary food. We had the set lunch menu which was just enough. I particuarly liked the crab and octopus starter and my husband enjoyed the steak for main. The staff were very attentive and the room was relaxed and airy. The hotel setting is very plush and a visit to the ladies/gents is recommended as the facilities are very worthy of a magazine shoot. Overall a great lunch and experience.

We opted for the Clásico tasting menu with wine pairing. Great choice! Seven excellent courses but these two ere my runaway favourites: the Ceviche Clásico (stone bass with choclo, sweet potato, tiger's milk) and the Cornish Crab and Octopus Causa (with delicious aji amarillo potato, olives, avocado, and ceviches sauce). All served with charm and efficiency, and generous wine choices to add a dimension.
