Founded in 2012 by brothers Gabriel and Jose Luis Gonzalez, LIMA is a short 5-minute walk from Tottenham Court and Goodge Street Tube Stations. The restaurant offers a modern, minimalist interpretation of traditional Peruvian culture, with décor inspired by Peru’s vibrant multiculturalism and stunning landscapes. The kitchen is led by Culinary Director Roberto Sihuay, a renowned Peruvian chef, and delivers a menu featuring creative twists on Chifa (Chinese) and Nikkei (Japanese) cuisine, inspired by the dishes from his childhood—such as Shiso Tempura with Otoro and salsa cevichera.

It’s a shame that the menu has been extensively cut down and now has very few actual Peruvian dishes - only one ceviche and one tiradito - a bit like going to an Italian restaurant and finding ‘pasta’ on the menu!

I had forgotten how exquisite the food is. Went with friend who is from Lima who felt it was the best experience he has had of Peruvian flavours he has had outside of Peru
