Located only a short 1-minute walk from Leicester Square tube station and 5-minute walk from Covent Garden tube station, LIMA CANTINA brings you a true taste of the Peruvian capital’s buzzing local food scene: what Peruvians love to eat and drink! LIMA CANTINA is born out of a desire to bring the soul of LIMA to London: its flavoursome daily life, with simple dishes directly inspired by markets & home cooked meals. The restaurant’s chefs use traditional cooking methods to transform quality UK and Peruvian sourced ingredients into mouth-watering dishes. The menu delivers classics such as Pollo a la Brasa (arguably the national dish of Peru and possibly the best roast chicken you’ve ever had), whilst retaining signature Ceviches and Pisco Sours, and many more Lima locals’ favourites. Location close to nearest tube station about 5 mins walk. Enough space inside between tables. Not crowded great for a lunch meet. We had set menu a main and a side with a drink each. Food okay. Pleasant afternoon.

Hmmmmm Not great - mostly slack service and being encouraged to place last orders - no offer of desserts or coffee Food was tasty ! Great pisco sours Wouldn't go back

We went for lunch and theatre menu - choice of mains plus sides resulted in lovely shared set o dishes for us at a decent cost.

We had the Chef's Choice menu which was very good. However, I didn't think for the amount paid that the portions were large enough. I felt we paid a lot of money for an average amount. Whilst the food was very good, I would not say it was anything special. Possibly we made the wrong choice in electing the Chef's Choice menu which was £54 per head (total of £108 for 2 without drinks and service charge). I have been to Lima Fitzrovia previously, so perhaps the offerings at Cantina are slightly different and I was expecting something similar. I believe Cantina has a different type of menu to the other restaurants. Overall very pleasant environment. Service could not be faulted. But not sure I would retunr.

Came for a special occasion, our third time visiting Lima Cantina. The meal was overall very good, staff were friendly, ceviche was excellent, corn ribs however were distinctly average. Chicken was excellent as were the tacos. Had two lovely pisco sours but we were never asked if we wanted a second drink. Good ambience overall for a Friday afternoon, and they did recognize the occasion mentioned upon booking.
