Lilikoi Bar and Grill
Made reservations and had to wait. Very loud. Our server didn’t seem interested in working for the night. Took forever to get our food. Food was ok. Walked out of there with a $75 dollar bill for overcooked shrimp primavera and poke. Appetizers coconut shrimp. 1 cream puff and two cokes.
Awesome atmosphere to hangout after the beach.
It was very uncomfortable when the waiter and hostess kept trying to turn the table. We were there only 45 minutes. During the meal, the waiter was AWOL.
Everything was great. We realized toward the end of the meal that there hadn’t been any music on for the entire time, and it was a nice addition to the ambiance.
If you make a reservation, don’t count on it too much, as it didn’t seem to matter - we were in line with walk-ins.
Horrible experience at Lilikoi bar and grill
- They did not honor the open table reservation. Just added us to the wait list
- 60% of the menu items were not available due to missing ingredients
- after waiting for the food we did order, they came back and said some of that food was not available
- spoke with the manager about it and she bold faced lied to us
- the wait staff was so apologetic and did what they could. This is just very poor management.
Seems to be pretty unorganized and as another reviewer mentioned, they don’t seem to look at or acknowledge Open Table reservations. We had made reservations and probably waited 15 minutes in a long line before even having anyone ask us name, etc. Then it was written on a list and when I mentioned we had an open table reservations, she just said “ok”. We ended up getting the last two seats at the bar. Once seated, the service was far better and the woman that was tending the bar was great and working at an amazing pace to cover the bar as well as make all the drinks for the entire restaurant. The food we decided on was different then we planned as a couple items that were on the menu linked to Open Table, actually weren’t on the menu. We ordered appetizers, beef tacos - pretty good, coconut shrimp - pretty good, Calamari-so so and seafood chowder - inedible. Drinks were good and as mentioned, bartender/service was good once past the terrible check in process.
Normally we enjoy this restaurant but not this time. We made reservations and arrived at the proper time. When I informed the hostess that I had a reservation her response was "we had a lot of people claim to have reservations and now we are backed up so you have 6 or 7 parties ahead of you" . I inquired if she'd like my name to verify that I had a reservation and she said no out computers broken. Ugh. She did not have a good attitude. Asked did I want to wait or not. I was flabbergasted. I'm OK with waiting when I haven't made a reservation but this was silly.
Great happy hour deals! We went for an early dinner (4:30) and ordered a bunch of appetizers and drinks. Good value if you get the happy hour prices. Apps filled us up enough too.
They weren’t ready for the returning crowd.
Terrible service. Took forever to get waited on once to the table.
Good was over cooked. Never could get water.
Lots of people waiting, but we couldn’t get our bill. Eventually just left $.
Great food , perfect view of bay. Server was very nice!
Very unorganized, hostess took 8 minutes to a knowledgeable us at the front area, they never knew we had a reservation. Very sloppy staff
We loved this place. Amazing food and appropriately priced.
First of all - they don't do reservations from open table. They don't deal with the app and don't see any reservations you make here. The waitress was a bit impatient and rude. They brought the wrong meal to one person at the table. The food was okay, typical diner-type quality.
Great atmosphere, food, view and drinks! Quick service despite being busy.
Ordered the linguine primavera and they gave me a bland shrimp scampi that I didn’t order. Asked the server if this was correct and she kept saying it was. Didn’t want to risk sending the food back since my husband food didn’t look great either. Barely ate it since it tasted like plain noodles. The alcoholic drinks don’t have alcohol and this is pretty much a tourist trap.
Food was great. Service was attentive and quick. Highly recommend
It took 50 min to get our drinks , half of the food came out 10 min before the drinks arrived, some of the food never made it out so we had to just have them remove it from the Bill. They are under staffed and unorganized , food is ok, two people in our group had salads that were good, the other food was sub par . I would not recommend this restaurant and would niot visit again
We had a reservation but there were not tables so we got seated at the bar. We ordered our food from bartender. Over 30 minutes passed before I was told that they were out of the pork sliders which I ordered with a salad. They brought my husband’s dinner and my salad. I picked another item and they were out of it. It was only 5:30pm and they ran out of food from their menu. Bartender was busy and no waitresses were helping her. I decided not to order anything else and ate my salad. Poor customer service. It was too bad because when we went earlier in the week, we had a great experience. Note to self, don’t sit at the bar for dinner!!
Probably had more customers than usual and their staffing was inadequate causes more delay
Great food! And prices reasonable! Will return
It was very busy and the server was overwhelmed.
Food was good, not outstanding.
Day trip from Oahu.
The shrimp scampi had no flavor and garlic bread was not good either, it was just bread and butter. Wife’s chicken wrap was good. Observed one of the male waiters not wearing mask throughout the night and allowing people walk around the restaurant without one too. Mask mandated was not enforce. Reservation for the night was also disregarded and had to wait for a table like a walk in. I wish my experience was better.
Good food and friendly service.
Great food and service. Relaxed and low key. Upstairs outdoor covered patio dining located in a shopping center across the street from the beach.
Great place to pop in and enjoy the meal. Very friendly staff and very good food. All around great place to dine.
What a horrible experience. We took a chance but should have been known better when they had the only open table. The staff told us our daughters meal was gluten free even when we told them she had celiac disease ( not fun- maybe they would care if they suffered the same ). When we realized it, after a mouthful, the waitress never came to our table to apologize and neither did the manager. Even though our waiter told us that he told the manager - for what reason? The food was also lackluster- and way over salted. Also, the lights oddly flickered and to top it off, the ceiling fan combination felt like you were on the brink of a seizure. I felt like I was in a badly made horror flick. With food...
Requested a few things that never came. Busy so it was understandable. I’d go again
Absolutely love the food, the view is fabulous from the balcony and the staff goes out of their way to make your experience having your meal enjoyable! We’ve eaten here a few times and even with our masks on when we arrived the staff remembered us! Cheyenne is the best....Mac & Cheese🌺
After the host blamed Open Table and their scheduling we were seated at the bar. It took an hour and 15 minutes from sitting down to get our food. The food was decent bar food. It took 20 minutes and flagging down the bartender to just take our credit card.
2 hours in total for two drinks and two entrees.
Chicken was raw, we returned the plate twice and still came back raw. Also, reservations don’t work. They do no use open table and told us to ignore online reservations. Never going back.
Food was too greasy and lacked taste. Service was slow
Casual friendly place with great food!
Great food, service, and atmosphere! Every item we ordered was absolutely delicious!
Pulled pork sliders were amazing.
Good vacation meal. Great service.
Great server!! And awesome menu hardest part was deciding what to order! Awesome start to our visit in Kauai.
Great value and good food. Bring the family it is kid friendly.
Want to start by saying the food and ambience were great here, and I have no complaints about our server. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 5:30, got there on time and were seated right away. We got our food and finished quickly and then had to wait ~20 minutes for someone to come by to get our check, which was no big deal. Immediately after we signed the receipt, someone who worked there came to our table (at 6:29, 59 minutes after our reservation started) and asked us to leave because another group had been apparently waiting for our table for a really long time. They said that the group had made a reservation on OpenTable so they had priority, but didn't seem to care that we had also reserved the table on OpenTable. And, we hadn't even been there an hour yet, the next group's reservation wasn't until 6:30, and they didn't give us any sort of time limit when making the reservation or getting seated. Left a pretty bad taste in my mouth after an otherwise good meal!
