Chowder was very good and perfect starter - not too big which I really appreciate
The swordfish/bean/ celeriac slaw was also very good. My partner had the chorizo hash dish and was happy with his meal as well. The us the 3rd time visiting the restaurant and while the menu may be a little eclectic fir some I love it -
All the food was delicious, very innovative dishes and great service
Service was pretentious - Most condescending waitress. The mask is not a place to hide. Covid or not be respectful and make the experience worth the price.
Always love eating here! Staff is friendly, food is a hit for the whole family and the beers are so good!
Great food, quality ingredients, delicious drinks (wine menu and specialty cocktails), and good service.
I can't stop thinking about how good that swordfish was! So delicious!
This has always been a great place near the water and they didn't disappoint when I showed up for my birthday.
Great brunch spot with a nice view!
I had the short ribs and they were amazing. Maybe the best ever. Set overlooking the bay and the noise level was great. We will be back.
Eating outside changes a lot of things. Since we had a very early seating, the wedding boats were still blocking the boardwalk views, but after a cloud of diesel, the view was pretty good. Eating in public (outside on the boardwalk) is not something I am a fan of, but this isn't their fault.
So on to the important stuff.
Beer List - Very good local selections. Not a giant list, but a well curated selection that should make any beer guy happy.
Wine List - Pretty good as well. Not overwhelming, but enough to have some good choices.
Food - Very Very Good - Almost outstanding. My lamb rib eye was absolutely perfect. Sadly the wheat berries with my wife's salmon were still hard. Everything else on her plate was perfect.
Service - We started with JT and shift changed to uh, I forgot her name but also super nice. We never felt rushed, but at the same time never had to look for them.
Will we go back? YES.
The food is really bad. Nothing was seasoned properly. The dishes were poorly planned. Everything was either over cooked or undercooked. They couldn’t even cook the white rice properly! It was so mushy. The presentation of the dishes was really ugly.
I've eaten here many times, and tried just about everything on the menu. Almost all of it has been outstanding. I know I'm not crazy, because my friends who have come with me, or that I've referred have said the same. A little pricey, but that is relative to how much money you have. For a nice restaurant in Newport Beach on the water, with seasonal and fresh food, I think the prices are plenty reasonable.
our table was not ideal. seated in the way of all passing people. they should take that table away. Unfortunate for a date night.
Our waitress was a delight! and the food was scrumptious and not overly expensive and we had a nice table for the 7 of us very spacious due to covid! We will be back I promise!
Thanks for the open table reservation that had reminders and it was a hit!
Super sweet server, and the food was amazing!! So fresh, and the best ceviche and French fries ever!! And the kombucha... it’s all great!
Excellent afternoon in NPB and a really good experience at Lido Bottle Works. Once we got past the soulless hostess, it was smooth sailing. The service was excellent and the food even better. The outdoor seating area includes a view of the harbor and amazing people watching. Make sure to bring your proof of reservation to get by the "gate keeper" and you'll be set for a great dining experience.
Amazing food! And dining experience. Love the ambiance of the restraunt.
We went there to celebrate an engagement and were told we would have to sit at a crappy table when a nice table was available, the service was not good as we had to ask for items multiple times, some of the food was cold, and we had to wait forever for the check. It was the worst experience my wife and I had had at that restaurant and we had previously loved it as we had dined there at least four or five times before.
Great service and food
Great service, beautiful view, amazing food and a killer drink menu
The waterfront views to the impeccable service and the delicious food choices made this a memorable experience that will be recommended to anyone who will looking for a great dining spot.
The food was really not good. The wine was bad to average. A Real disappointment. The waiter was great and worked hard for us To have a good time.
Delicious/ creative: lovely atmosphere- casual
First time. Seems like a good place to come to drink. Food menu wasn’t great and neither was the food we ordered. Salmon dish was weird, and flavorless. Struggled to find something on the menu that sounded good. Might be back for a drink, but won’t consider it for future dining.
Food was amazing. Service was slow and orders came out inaccurately. For how difficult it is to get a reservation here, I was a tad disappointed. Setting is lovely overall and I would go back.
Excellent food with a modern twist! Very good beer and wine list.
Lido Bottle Works is my favorites restaurant in Newport Beach. The staff is super friendly and Chef Amy makes the most thoughtful original dishes.
You really need a variety of sodas. Something other than rooter
I recommend Lido Bottle Works. The service was very good. Our waitress, Kalie had the most amazing eyes, very personable and very efficient. Our food was very good, price, service and the overall experience was great!!! I Highly recommend Bottle Works and if you are lucky to have Kalie wait on you it will be a memorable experience!!!
The service was very good. The hostess accommodates is to the best of her ability. We wanted as much shade as possible. It was a super hot day. The server was fantastic. She made sure we had plenty of water and were comfortable. Also, that day there was a pro-Trump boat parade and there was a group of obviously anti-Trump ladies (with the term ladies used very loosely) at the table nearest us. They all felt it necessary to flip the middle finger to the boats passing by while at the same time shouting out obscenities. I kindly asked our server to ask them to keep it down. Our server did just that and after a bit of peaceful protesting the ladies complied and they were no longer a problem. When I got the bill the server had credited us for an appetizer which we did not request. I even suggested she charge us because the restaurant had nothing to do with the other table’s actions but she insisted on the discount so we accepted it. A very classy move in my opinion.
great food great service great location We had a variety of food and everything is beautifully prepared
Lovely evening in the Lido! Everything was wonderful... Service, food and ambiance!
Chicken sandwich was yummy
We've come here several times and it is always a very pleasant evening. Ambience is amazing sitting on the Lido board walk looking over the large charter boats and Newport Harbor. The food is always good! For me and Danny we had probably one of the best duck breasts in OC! The veggie appetizer was superb with it's thick green dressing. Ellen had the fish of the day, a local halibut with crispy skin. All were accompanied by a succotash which for me was just an ok complement to the duck.
All in, I don't think you can get much better that LBW for a nice dinner on the bay!
Interesting menu with delicious starters! The wine list is really interesting. They had wines on there that are unique and you can't find these wines in the stores. My entree was also very good. Would highly recommend this place!
Fantastic experience at Lido Bottle Works! Our server was amazing, and made nothing but excellent recommendations for food & drinks. All tastes were excellent - will definitely return!
This was one of the best restaurants I’d been to in a while. All outdoor seating. Felt very safe. Food was absolutely delicious
Amazing ambiance. Highly recommend the croquettes and the beef stroganoff! Will definitely be going back !
We had a great experience. Food was delicious and we had great service. We really enjoyed our evening.
Food was good and outdoor dining was scenic. The service was on point. Love this place.
Chef Amy made us feel at home and the food was exceptional.
