Excellent food - the brisket is really good and the prime rib dip was also delicious. Good drinks as well- recommend the Johnny on the Spot old fashioned.
It’s really loud at Liberty Station. Very difficult to hear the others in your own party. The tables are also much closer than six feet so there really isn’t any way to be socially distant from people you don’t know.
It was VERY loud in the dining area. The TVs could be heard from the bar area, even in the far corner of the dining area. Echo is loud, I had to switch chairs to hear my dinner companion.
The food and drink choices were amazing! Ambience was cheerful but not overwhelming!
Food and service were excellent! Great ambience & casual vibe.
Great Thanksgiving meal and experience. Prime Rib was amazing!
Good food. Clean and good service.
Service and food were amazing for son bday celebration
Loved the cheese curds and fire cracker shrimp! Mac & cheese was very good, had a little kick to it. Homemade chips were very crispy and yummy! Our waiter did a great job. Would definitely go back again!
Liberty Station is a solid choice. The food and drinks are great and the staff is very kind. It is a bar and with it comes the bar noise level. If you make a reservation and wish to be able to hear each other I suggest you request a table that's not in the bar. There are other adjoining dining rooms. Also, there's a nice outdoor seating area that is great if the weather is good.
Very loud, largely due to poor room acoustics. Food was very salty and over cooked. The service was slow. Prices are high considering food quality. The cheese curds were good enough to bring the rating up from a one star to a two star. Won’t go back.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I understand how the buzz of the restaurant (especially on a friday night) can be a bit more than some are comfortable with. I would love to invite you back for a meal on us, and to hear about which menu items might need a little extra attention. Please reach out at your convenience and I will handle your reservations personally. Im very confident we can find a quiet spot for you to enjoy a great meal! Matt Weir General Manager 608.286.1019
Overall the food was okay. We had the brisket and each had only one piece we could eat that wasn’t nearly all fat. Things serves seemed “old” or stale, whipped butter had a taste and texture to indicate it wasn’t fresh and the French fries were cold and stale. The noise in the dining room was so loud that conversation simply couldn’t be held. One table left because of it.
Excellent BBQ! Sides were interesting and tasty. Service was attentive and pleasant.
Great food and nice bar selections. Nice atmosphere
Great food, we arrived a little early but the staff accommodate our change and we had a great meal!
Fair prices and generous portions. Sizable outdoor dining area, some of it covered, is perfect for pandemic dining. Favorite place? Probably not, but would likely come back.
Terrific drink list, too! And a great beer list, both taps & bottles/cans.
saying goodbye to a coworker. sat by fire pit. it was cozy, relaxing, had great food and drinks.
Happy hour menu is priced extremely well- 5.00-15.00 dollars for a nice selection of yummy items! Great wine pour for 5.00 bucks too
Love the cheese curds and the quesadilla- the fire place is inviting and the servers are attentive and nice!
We enjoy smoked meats so were excited to try Liberty Station. We had a brisket sandwich and a pork shoulder plate, both were ok. The fries were crispy but cold, the coleslaw was a large portion but had little flavor and the corn muffin was disappointing. The staff was helpful, friendly and very energetic.
Food was great, cool architecture, design and decoration. Slightly loud
Great food, super service, lovely ambience and just the place to spend a daily evening. Will definitely go back and sit in the beautifully outdoor area.
If your looking for great BBQ, look no further. Outdoor seating available in season. Large bar with great lounge area. Large dining room. Clean. Competent, friendly staff and bartenders.
Awesome food. Plenty of menu choices for all tastes. The brisket and bbq chicken sandwich was wonderful.
Excellent service and food was outstanding!!! We had outdoor seating and weather was bad and within 5 minutes they accommodated us indoors and service was fantastic!!! We will be back and will recommend to others!! !
Chicken salad was delicious!
Delicious food. We were there fir Sunday brunch. Two has the Benedict but substituted brisket for ham. Delicious. Chilli was flavorful. Pulled pork sandwich was a very generous portion and great smoke flavor. Service was excellent!
The food quality was excellent....appetizers (we had TAVERN TOTS...amazing!).....Tavern Burger (cooked to perfection),,,,seasonal blackberry crumble (delicious). Our server (sorry, didn't catch her name) was super-courteous and efficient
Reserved a table for 6 for noon on a football Saturday. Restaurant was easy to find, had ample parking. All enjoyed the food! Server Jeff was great. Definitely will be back!
The food was delicious, but our server took our order and never once came back to check on our table. The kitchen staff brought our food out and we had to ask other staff for refills and the check.
It was great! good food, great atmosphere
We appreciated the entire experience at Liberty Station. Our friends had never been there before but indicated they would definitely return & bring others for the excellent food, staff and place. Quinn went above & beyond to be friendly, attentive & make sure we had a fun time! There is no question that we will highly recommend Liberty Station,
The service was excellent! Our server was very informed and helpful in making choices on drinks and food. The food was very good, but not exceptional. We had a party of 5, one had the ribs which were dry and not very meaty.
Great smoked meat, smoked on site. Good drink and beer selection. Very nice patio area. Excellent service.
Food was decent, ambiance and decor were great. We would eat here again. The Au Jus sauce on the prime Rib Dip sandwich was watery, yuck. The sandwich was yummy without it and the took some money off the bill. Good experience overall.
The brisket was phenomenal. The smoked prime rib dip sandwich was also excellent. Wonderful service, an energetic environment, and overall a great experience. The only thing I will say is my date ordered one of their cocktails and it was mostly ice - there were maybe 3 sips of margarita in the glass. Regardless, I will certainly be returning!
Great service on a busy Friday evening. Waiter was wonderful and did a great job checking in on our party.
Outdoor patio is so pleasant!
Waitstaff was excellent.
Have been to Liberty several times and consistently service has been "off". Servers tend to forget items requested, like additional dressings, sides or glassware preferences for a bottle beer. Wedge salad is always missing the classic Blue Cheese dressing, just comes with crumbles. Really like the location and menu and beer selections, just wish service was consistent. Apps seemed slow to arrive. I am sure, like all, they probably have a ton of new people and and doing their best. Didn't have a Manager check on us either.
Patio seating was beautiful, servers were friendly, and I am pleased they were enforcing mask usage. Food was delicious and worth the price point
Went for dinner and had the pork shoulder which was very tender and the beef brisket which was somewhat dry. Mac and Cheese was grainy, but maybe that's the way they serve it. Baked beans and corn bread were outstanding. Each had the 1/2 pound serving and certainly shareable, especially if there is an appetizer involved. Overall bar/restaurant had a good vibe and very friendly/helpful staff. Was convenient to the Alliant Center and hotel we were staying at.
