Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

    Liberty Kitchen is proud to once again take part in Houston Restaurant Weeks, the city's premier dining event that gives back. From August 1st through September 1st, enjoy exclusive prix fixe lunch, brunch, and dinner menus at Liberty Kitchen while helping support the Houston Food Bank. This is your chance to indulge in your favorite Liberty Kitchen dishes — or try something new — all while making a difference. 2-course brunch menu priced at $25 | Sat-Sun 10am-3pm 2-course lunch menu priced at $25 | Mon-Fri 11am-3pm 3-course dinner menu priced at $55 | Sun-Sat 4pm-close Reservations are not required, but recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.

    Maybe it was our luck but the mature sever who served us had already show his unwelcoming attitude from the beginning. Perhaps he assumed we would not spend much but any that we spend $600 not including automatic gratuity for only 5 people, pay $700 with this poor service. A service attitude has been changed gradually by seeing how much we started spending $$ that gives us more unwelcoming feeling. Capital Grill is our standard compare how much we spend near same amount of money, it is very easy to tell this restaurant is nowhere near ..  It will be up to them how they take, but we are not going to return.

    Austin was a great server. We went for the app special of seafood guacamole. It was an amazing spin on a Tex-mex favorite. The whole meal was great.

    The restaurant smelled like a septic tank, but we stayed because we had limited time and didn’t want to fight through traffic to go elsewhere. I got a wedge salad - the lettuce was limp and turning brown in some parts, a clear sign it was old. Not a good experience at all.

    Our server, Austin, was personable, attentive and knowledgeable. Our food, rolls, lobster bites, charred oysters, fried shrimp and shrimp risotto was all quite tasty, lots of flavor and good sized portions. Only issue upon entering the restaurant has an odd sewer smell, like perhaps some drainage traps in the kitchen need cleaning? It didn’t smell fishy, more sewage. Overall a good experience.

    Always a good experience. Had a business dinner here last night. The oysters were very good, and the Sea Bass was exceptional

    Been here a few times and this one made me not want to come back. The service was slow everyone who seated after us received their food. I think the server forgot to put our food in. We were there for 45 minutes waiting and ordered as soon as we set down. I had to get up and ask for bread cause my kids were starving. Table was janky and had to ask for it to be fixed. Just a rough dining experience overall .
