It is difficult to define exactly what l’Gueuleton means but the words ‘feast’, ‘food’, ‘family’, ‘friends’ and of course ‘wine’ help us to understand a concept that is inherently French. Since 2004 l’Gueuleton has served French Bistro cuisine at its finest. Combining quality Irish produce with French flair, l’Gueuleton offers a fantastic menu, matched with a perfectly balanced selection of wines.

Situated on the ground floor of the old Fade Street Tenements l’Gueuleton is a combination of exposed red brick walls, industrial beams, copper ceilings and wood floors.

Food is excellent, service is top notch and I always love the atmosphere and vibe inside and outside. It’s so central to so many great bars around that part of town but I also love to sit at the bar in the restaurant after food for a drink.

Great restaurant. A team of superb waiters who know the restaurant business well and what very good customer service looks like. I’d recommend highly the breads for a starter, to share. The crab is excellent and the fish too. My husband is a big fan of their steak. Well done to the team.

Still our favourite bruch spot on a Saturday or Sunday. We shared a starter of smoked Haddock croquettes with a delicious bisque. So delicious that we asked for extra bread to wipe the bowl; which was supplied, toasted. Our mains of croque monsieur with chips, from the specials menu, and eggs benedict were very generous, tasty and satisfying. We splashed out on a nice bottle of wine but even so this was excellent value for the quality, service and ambience. Looking foward to our next visit.
