   I had heard much about L'Escargot and its reputation. I was not disappointed. The service was fast, attentive and knowledgeable and the food superb. One could not ask for more or better.

   My absolute favourite restaurant. The set menu was 3 courses for £25 and the food, service and ambience are just wonderful. Whatever you are having, treat yourself to the bread basket! Will most definitely become a regular visitor.

   We had a lovely experience at L’escargot. We chose from the set menu and really enjoyed our choices. Also ordered bread, which was a delicious selection, especially the cheese and truffle bread. The service was excellent, from the lovely young lady at reception who showed us to our table to the waiting staff, all very professional, informative with exactly the right level of attentiveness. A very enjoyable restaurant experience.

   Good choice of dishes from the set menu, friendly and efficient service. It was a pleasant ambience and not too noisy which allowed for conversation. Grand mariner souffle was delicious.

   Told them at 6 pm we were going to a 7:30 play. Our entree arrived at 7:05pm. Two other sets of people who arrived after us were fed and out the door by then Appetizer was good. Entree was not. Chicken Holstein was over breaded and tough. The fish cake was tasteless We were surprised to be charged for bread and olives. The server didn’t mention there was a charge nor did we see it on the menu. We had to send the bill back as they had charged us for 3 courses and we only ate a few bites of the entree No one was able to give us walking directions to the theater which was 19-15 minutes away Poor food, slow service though the waiter was nice enough, and 81 pounds for basically an appetizer, piece of bread, a couple of olives each and one glass of wine. Poor value. No apologies — just excuses about a large party.

   Excellent all round. Lovely waiter. He was attentive, smart, very personable. Great food in classi French restaurant Thank you.

    We have eaten here many times on various occasions and the consistency of the levels of food and service have always been excellent. Also I believe for a top London restaurant it is good value for money and not overpriced. We will certainly be visiting again!
