We are an Italian cafe, bar & restaurant on Chatsworth Road, Clapton.

We are open for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and a special Set Sunday Lunch every week.

Bookings can be made for Dinner & Saturday or Sunday Lunch only.

We do not take bookings for Breakfast or Lunch in the cafe so feel free to walk in.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome in the bar but reservations are necessary for the dining room.

On Sundays we offer a family style set lunch in the restaurant priced at £42 per person. The menu changes weekly but will typically centre around a large porchetta roasted slowly over the wood fire surrounded by seasonal antipasti, pastas & contorni with our tiramisu to finish. We are more than happy to accommodate vegetarians and other dietary requirements, if you could select from the meat or vegetarian menu add ons when booking that would be greatly appreciated. Reservations on Sundays are for our Set Lunch Only while the more casual breakfast and lunch in the cafe is a walk ins only affair, so please feel free to just pop by if you wish to dine in the cafe. Fun & vibey, if slightly overpriced restaurant overall. Very tasty for the most part but let down by extremely sluggish, chaotic service and one weirdly undercooked main pasta dish. Really good wine also, but won't be giving it another go unfortunately.

Top notch Italian food, and I’m Italian…menu changes regularly, today we had grilled asparagus with taleggio and coppa, lemon bottarga spaghetti, lasagna and tiramisu and everything was outstanding. Perfect timing between courses too. Nothing too heavy. Always a guarantee. Wish they had more non alcoholic cocktails (chinotto doesn’t qualify!)

Disrespectful Service on My Birthday I came to Leo’s Restaurant with three friends to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the way we were treated left us feeling deeply disappointed. When I asked if we could have some of my birthday cake after our meal, the waiter said it would be £5 per person. I asked him to double-check, but he never came back. I had to follow up myself, and another staff member — tall, with sagging pants — confirmed the charge: £20 just to eat a cake we brought ourselves. No explanation, no smile, just a cold and dismissive attitude. We felt completely unwelcome. It was my birthday, and instead of being treated with kindness, we felt like we were a burden. To make things worse, one of the plates we were served on had a visible chip — something we only noticed after we got home and looked at the photos. Just another example of how little care was given to our experience. Thankfully, we ended up at a lovely nearby pub called Nobody Ask Me, where the owner greeted us with a warm smile and said, “Of course you can have your cake here!” That simple act of kindness meant the world to me. As for Leo’s? Never again. Terrible service on what should’ve been a special, joyful day

Everything was so good, we loved the place as well really authentic! The chicken liver was to die for. Felt really welcome!

Amazing restaurant and value for money. Service between starter and main a bit slow but I don’t mind the food and produce are outstanding

For me, this is perfection. I am so glad to have found Leo's after a few of my favourite restaurants closed in the past years. It is a very humble venue with kind of super powers, A top top team. I ate here twice, six months apart and dream about the next time. Thank you to the entire team!
