The greeting from the host stand and service from our server was great! I believe her name was Parker. I understand that location had just reopened about a 2 weeks ago. That said the food needs help and more attention to detail. The crispy calamari was cooked nicely but had no dipping sauce and missing the hot peppers garnish. Fried appetizers should had some type of spicy aioli or some type of dipping sauce, that's what helps sells it. I ordered a piece of fish with the olive, caper and tomato relish. The fish was cooked nicely as I asked for it to be blackened...yet the relish was not so good because It was not a true relish...it was a bunch of green olive sliced in half about and 5 pieces roasted tomato with a few capers. This relish should be the flair of the dish as they are all flavorful components. My expectation was that it was a nice tasty relish on top of the fish...but it was a loose mix of the three on the side. It was like a side dish on the plate. I suggest chop them more, have equal amount of olives and tomato and add a decent amount of capers, then keep some of the brine of either the olives or capers or both and garnish on top of the fish. My wife had the steamed lobster...I'll admit we made the mistake not realizing this was a whole lobster...as we assumed it would be just a tail. C'mon guys this is 2021 who serves a whole lobster in this region anymore when most of it is inedible with mostly shell and body? However, I have to give credit as it was cooked nicely and very tasty. The sides could use some updates as seafood restaurant... how a bout a lobster or crab gnocchi or risotto? As I mentioned above, all dishes were cooked and had great taste. This chain is dated and I was underwhelmed with the food execution.

Glad to see Legal in KOP is back. They are still working on getting back up to speed but still the best place outside the city to get good seafood. Server was very attentive. Still dedicated to highest quality seafood. Not all the old favs are back yet (like cream of crab soup) but only been back a week since COVID shutdown in March '20. Will definitely visit again.

Reservation was at 8pm, restaurant was empty. Friendly staff. We ordered shrimp cocktail and fried calamari to start. My husband had the crusted halibut, he enjoyed the meal. My son had the swordfish, portion was huge. I had the crab cake combo. The crab cake was ok, shrimp and scallops were over cooked. Overall, I’d say our experience was Ok.

We are so thankful for Legal Seafood’s reopening at the King of Prussia Mall. In addition to great fish entrees, my wife and I frequented Legal because of their expansive gluten free options.
Keeping an open mind while considering that most of the staff and management were new, we were disappointed that the reopen was not exactly what the restaurant was when it closed.
Our server told us that the only Grilled Fish options were Haddock. Other nights it might be Cod. We did hear a server from another table mention that Salmon was also grilled. Many of the fried foods on the menu, which I always purchased as gluten free were not designated on the menu. After some confusion, our Calamari and Fish & Chips were prepared GF.
The GF Fish and Chips previously were served with Onion Rings and French Fried Potatoes. Somehow the Onion Rings were no longer included.
It is my hope that with some more time and experience, Legal Seafood will return to the great restaurant that we had become accustomed to.
Our server, Jade did her best as she was also learning the menu.

Legal is back! Fresh seafood, great quality. We enjoyed the burrata, warm crusty rolls, a lobster roll and the Crab Cake mixed grill. So glad they are open again!

Seafood are all very fresh and tasty. Waitress and manager are very friendly. I got a whole extra lobster because the first one they baked is too small for a main course. But all lobsters are fresh and tasty. They really have a professional attitude and did a great job.

Our server was great. However the restaurant wasn't practicing any social distancing. Considering it was not busy, they packed people unnecessarily tight in specific areas.

Outstanding! While the menu is not back to its full pre-Covid strength, Legal continues to deliver on exceptional service and quality of seafood. In my book, this is the only place to eat seafood out north of the Chesapeake Bay. As someone who worries about a gluten allergy, I continue to feel confident that they take precautions like no one else.

So excited that they are back and have not missed a step.

For seafood quality, ambience, and service, Legal Seafood still easily justifies over an hour ride each way for dinner.

I was going to do restaurant week dinner but opted for the happy hour menu instead. I split the crab sliders with someone who ordered the fish tacos. Both were very delicious and we had great service. Luckily it was empty given the coronavirus, but would’ve been a little too loud had it been

I met a friend for lunch this past week and was told it was restaurant week. We both chose the fish sandwich from that menu. Cup of clam chowder first was the best, but it went down hill from there. The fish was covered in a “fried chicken” type batter and was way too thick and greasy. The coleslaw wasn’t much better. All in all, a very average meal.

My husband and I and another couple very much enjoyed our dinner out on a Saturday night. Our friends shared the crab dip appetizer, which they said was very good, while my husband and I shared the mussels appetizer, which was delicious. My husband and I then shared the crabcake combo, which was plenty of food for two, however, we both wished it had come with some other side other than the Craisins salad. Some steamed broccoli or roasted potatoes would’ve been much preferred. Our server, whom I believe was named Eric, was very good. I guess my only complaint would be that some of the decor was kind of beat up and showing it’s age.

Went to Legal Seafood in the King of Prussia Mall with my wife on 2/29/2020. This visit was prompted by an email from Legal that highlighted their Leap Day special of 2 one pound lobsters and two sides for $29.99.
After waiting a half hour past our reservations and being seated, we were never offered rolls before dinner; we only knew that they were offered after the table next to us received them.
No appetizers were suggested nor even brought up. In fact, I had to grab our waiter to request a wedge salad for my appetizer.
The waiter tried to tell us that the only "sides" offered with the lobster promo were french fries & cole slaw and I had to show him the email that I received that listed a much broader choice of sides.
The wedge salad and lobster were tabled, literally, within one minute of each other.
We were given only one wet nap to wipe down our hands after eating two lobsters.

Not our best visit at a Legal...

I have mixed feelings. Our waiter was very good - pleasant, attentive, and really listened. Our food was good. My issues with our visit : my husband ordered a salad as an appetizer. His meal was brought out while he still had half of the salad to eat (not brought by our waiter but rather a manager...the reason for that next). I have a food allergy but have read repeatedly how well food challenges are handled at Legal Seafoods. I shared my challenge with our waiter who did a great job of explaining the protocols. This included that a manager would bring out my meal. A manager did bring my meal, which was great, but proceeded to give me my husband’s meal which was not at all safe for me (as well as having brought our meals before my husband was finished with his salad). This is a big faux pas - if the protocol is for a manager to bring out the allergy safe meal, he/she should clearly know which guest is to get that meal. My confidence in Legal Seafood’s protocols for allergies is far lower than what others have reported.

The lobsters were of good size and the cole slaw well above average. We were able to replace the fries with cooked vegetables, greatly increasing the nutritional value and the taste. The shrimp wontons were very good but too pricey for the quantity.

We arrived and waiting a bit to be seated. Once seated the waiter sat us and showed disapproval when we didn’t order a drink and ordered the entree. The food came out in less than 10 min. Both lobsters were cold for each of us. There was only meat in the tail I spite of the fact they looked like 2 large lobsters . We then noticed all other tables had been given rolls and butter which we were never offered. The meal was very disappointing. We will not be returning to Legal Seafood.

This was our first visit to a Legal Sea Food and will most likely be our last. Their 2 for 1 leap day lobster special piqued my wife's interest, but our server treated us like he was forced to work that night and took it out on us. I don't know if servers resent working days with specials like this for fear of getting slighted on their tips, but as someone who appreciates good service and knows how hard servers work, I can honestly say that this server earned his "poor" gratuity. Getting his attention was always a chore and any requests made were reluctantly handled. Also, portion size - as a non-seafood person, I ordered the half-chicken. I realize that you get what you get when you order non-seafood at a seafood restaurant, but for $22, I received a piece of chicken smaller than I would have gotten had I ordered a chicken sandwich at Popeyes! At the very least, my wife enjoyed her 2 mini-lobsters, so it wasn't a total loss, and she said that the quality of the lobsters, while not quite that of a Morton's lobster, was better than that of a Red Lobster - lobster.

I come here from upstate New York because you have gluten free fried seafood safe for celiac which is a real treat. My gf bread was tough like microwaved- never like that in past. My fried whole belly oysters were pretty sandy. No lemon with seafood platter? Or cocktail sauce. And fries got soggy from sitting under seafood. Server not great. Didn’t know menu. And seemed bothered by my allergy and our request for water refill. Another friend disappointed with cost and quite small size of soup.

My husband and I dined with our 4 children with a reservation here on a Saturday early evening. We had Eric as our server. He started off seeming to be a little impatient, but his demeanor improved as the evening continued. He did check in several times and was friendly, and he reassured us that we shouldn’t feel rushed at all, and to take our time, which was nice. The food was pretty good, but compared with some other local restaurants, this one will not be one of our favorites. It would be nice to have some additional options on the menu. Many of the dishes seemed similar to one another. The cocktails were good, but also, there weren’t a ton of options. Overall, a nice experience, though. Good location in the mall also.
