Great experience for parents birthday
Legal Seafood was bought out but the quality is still outstanding. You won't find better seafood in this area and the service was outstanding as usual!!
Great food, and the service was fantastic. Nick provided us great service and was very attentive.
We had an incredible Black Friday lunch with friends we haven’t seen in a long time. Our server was incredible and the food was amazing as always.
Went there to celebrate a birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! Service was great and offered great recommendations.
Our waiter was fantastic, very knowledgeable and very sweet! The food was very good and fresh tasting. I had the swordfish and my husband have the seafood melody.
The kitchen did not let the server know that something wasn’t available on the menu after about20 mins after ordering, we therefore waited at least 30-45 mins after resubmitting our order. The haddock was dry and not seasoned too well
Birthday Dinner - Food was awesome!!
You can depend on the food to be properly cooked and prepared as you like it.
The service is always great.
Food was delish and our server was wonderful! I would totally back again!
Celebrated my birthday dinner! Excellent! Our server was fantastic.
Should have seafood options on kids menu for older kiddos
We were there to celebrate a birthday (that was even mentioned on the reservation) and nothing special was done for the individual ☹️
Food is average but predictable. Overpriced but tolerable. Service was very good.
Food was very tasty, but the portions were small and very pricey. Service was excellent.
A quick early dinner. Very satisfied
Fresh seafood and over the top service . It was a great dining experience.
The Dodd was ok. The service was horrible.
First let me start by saying that the atmosphere was wonderful the service was outstanding the server SHAR was GREAT 🙏 thank you for making our evening wonderful.
Excellent dinner. The bon bons were to die for- worth the price of admission do you speak. Gretchen our server was so personable, had a great sense of humor & very attentive that it made the evening a lot more fun.
Went for family birthdays. Food was good. Ambiance was good. Our server Danielle was excellent. We will eat there again soon.
Service was good. Bread was fresh. Appetizers were tastier than the entrees. Entrees were bland. Will definitely go back for the oysters.
Always a great time at this place love it in Boston and love here!!
The menu has changed since COVID. The food was so-so. Please bring back the fried oysters.
Grace was great. Very nice dinner. Lobster Mac and cheese was super as was lobster roll.
My husband and I visited for the first time for our anniversary and we loved it! My husband isn't a really big sea food eater but he had the fish platter and really enjoyed it. I had fresh oysters and the baked clam stuffed lobster which was to die for. Our server Nick couldn't do enough for us and was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.
Great food and service.
We have dined here many times over the years and the food has always been delicious and the service efficient. I am so glad they have reopened after Covid 19 closure.
Staff was great, very friendly and lunch was good
We had a terrific meal of soup, oysters and clams, haddock and stuffed shrimp. Service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet and uncrowded for an early Friday dinner in October. Everything was fresh and well prepared.
I ordered the crab combo. Wow! The scallops were so sweet and the crab cake was equally as good as I remembered. The wedge is different now substituting smoked salmon for bacon. Same smoky goodness. Loved my meal! Server was young, jovial with blonde curly hair. Very accommodating. Can't wait to go back.
We had an early 4:00 dinner reservation. Only 4-5 tables were occupied. The food was great (Lobster Mac & Cheese and Surf & Turf with Stuffed Shrimp). The waitress provided excellent service. We will return!
Nice place, great service, good food! When we mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary, our server Destiny sad dessert would be free!
We had excellent service food and ambiance. would definitely tell others
Our waitress, Laura, was super nice and very informative. It had been a while since we visited, we tried during COVID but I was closed. The CEO, Oliver Munday, sat next to us at dinner. That was cool.
They ran out of local whitefish for the fisherman platter and calamari. They corrected the problem by giving extra scallops and shrimp. The
Friendly, earnest service, but not consistently above average. Fresh oysters very good, but other dishes (clam chowder, sole, haddock) carefully prepared but basically average.
Ok but not great
Laura is a wonderful server! Always enjoy dining here.
Was very disappointed on our latest visit. Have eaten here many times before. Fried calamari was overly salted (and should be served with something OTHER than tartar sauce - think marinara or an aioli. Advertised an IPA on draft that was not available (no IPA was). We were told there was no bread available (not that we necessarily wanted it, but how does LEGAL not have access to bread?). Unfortunately the experience was so disappointing that we've taken it off of our go to list. There are too many other places out there....
