   The food at this location was mediocre. I have eaten at legal seafood locations in other places and the food has always been good. I was so disappointed because I had recommended this restaurant to a first time visitor to DC. We both had the seafood casserole. The seafood was sparse and had too much alcohol flavor. I would not advise anyone eating at this location.

   Once again, Legal Seafoods came thru with a fabulous and affordable meal. I brought my son to DC for Spring Break while working and he was excited to finally eat at a restaurant my wife and I speak about often. We had Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, Seafood Casserole, Salad, and dessert. Awesome experience and looking ahead to my next visit.

   Service was good, but at times the server seemed a little confused by questions we asked. I got the fried clams which I thought were very good. We also got a bowl of the lite clam chowder which we really like at Legal Sea Food. But this bowl seemed a little off. The broth had little flavor and seemed watered down. It had a lot of clams and other items, but just didn't taste up to the restaurant's usual standards. My wife got the crab cake combo. The shrimp and scallops were fine. My wife also liked the crab cake. I'm from Baltimore and was disappointed by the flavor of the crab cake. I got the mixed grill. The salmon, shrimp and scallops were good but the tuna and swordfish were only okay. The sides, my wife's salad and my Brussel Sprouts were both very good. My wife got a glass of Asti Moscato and said it was a generous portion with good flavor.

   The cream of crab soup was good. I was disappointed in my entree--the stuffed shrimp. It was too bready for my taste. There was no complimentary bread to offset the high prices. The service, however, was prompt and friendly.

    The service was great and the food was good. The air conditioner was on and blowing, so it was very cold in the front of the restaurant. The manager did try to adjust it, but it didn’t really turn off. It was only 50 degrees outside, so not warm enough for the AC.

    We went for the lobster promotion - 2 lobsters for the price of one on the leap day. The lobsters were fresh and delicious. The services and lighting were great. We sat comfortably and could talk to each other easily even though we sat on a long table for 10. The evening was very enjoyable and cosy.

    I had an absolute wonderful time the lobster was delicious the staff was awesome and much more than accomadating. When I arrived my cousin was there with her husband soon after two friends came in three separate reservations. On a whim I asked if they could possibly seat us all six of us at one table without a moment of hesitation they did. We had a great evening and will be going back very soon!!!

    The service and food were great! They even had a few vegetarian/vegan options. They had something for each party member. The food arrived nicely prepared and delicious. A little pricey for some options, and the way inside the restaurant was a little odd but overall, nice place to go for seafood lovers or happy hour goers.

    The cioppino was one of the best I've ever had. All the seafood was cooked perfectly. The only issue was it took 20 minutes for us to get our bill after we're finished eating.

    Everything was very good....this was what we expected and more. Our dinner included clam chowder, crab cakes, baked cod, etc..... and the gin n tonics were top notch ... We will recommend to anyone visiting DC and looking for good seafood

    Took my wife here for Valentine’s Day, and it was also our first time dining here. It was only two of us but we were seated in a table of four, which in a way worked out as we had space for our plate. Our table was in the back, in a corner so it was vert cozy and we could see all the goings on with the restaurant. Food was a bit pricey but was very good, fresh and didn’t take long at all to come out. Highlight of the night was our server who was very attentive, timely and got everything right.     Unfortunately there was a capitals game the same day. I let the restaurant know it was an anniversary dinner but the waitstaff rushed us anyway - saying are you guys ready to order you can see is very busy here. The food was clearly rushed as well and not the quality nor well seasoned experience I expect from Legal.

    We had a reservation at 7:30 but arrived around 7:05. It was busy so the hostess checked us in and we told her we would wait in the bar area for our table. The bartender took our order but we never got drinks. Had to flag down a second bartender 15 minutes later to order again. At 7:45 we went back to the front to check on the status of our table and were asked “where have you been?”. Total incompetence. I had a reservation so they had my cell number and never even called me! No apology for their mistakes. Crab was way overcooked, wrong sides were served. Would never go back.

    We were there pre-theatre. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came near the table. When one waiter seemed to notice this, he apologized, promised to take care of us, and did. We were served our food quickly, he didn't charge us for our appetizer or dessert. The food was good. The atmosphere was very noisy and hard for conversation. The design of the space was elongated and cramped.
