The place was pretty much empty. It took 10min for the server to come to the table. I ordered a drink. When my friend got there 30min later, that’s when my server returned to the table. She ordered a drink and I ordered some fries. We got the fries (someone else brought it to our table) our server hadn’t returned until we got the manager on duty to let him know we were sitting there waiting on him to come back to our table. He had been serving every other table but ours and we were seated first. When he came to back to our table after about 45min of waiting, my friend ordered a dish. It took so long for the dish to come out that we left without receiving it. I had to stop at Popeyes On my way home to actually eat! Terrible service on a night that wasn’t even busy.
Went for Valentine’s Day, had reservations only had to wait about ten minutes. Really under staffed felt bad for the waiter who was bar tending and hosting! So there’s was a bit of a delay with service but expected worse for vday honestly! Food was pretty good! The place has a lot of potential just needs to be staffed properly
Service is consistently below average. At 11:35am we were told that there was no way we could order lunch because they only serve breakfast until noon.
Christmas eve might not be the best time to go out to eat but I believe we could have gotten better food and service anywhere else. There were no oysters and only one piece of redfish both of which were supposed to be their specialty. The one piece of fish that did come was paper thin and over cooked. The other food ( burger and shrimp poboy were just average. I’m sure the staff was ready to get off so that might be the reason for slow service.
The crab bisque was outstanding. I wanted to lick the bowl. The shrimp tacos were bland, disappointing.
The appetizers were very slow to come out - different times over 90 minutes- and the waitress forgot 2 of 6 entries - they never came out. Wings were excellent, oysters disappointing.
Phenomenal service. Food was good for the price. Bloody Mary was a little too spicy (and we do like spicy) - perhaps horseradish. I'm sure we will be here again.
Oysters and burgers were terrific. Steak not so much. Service was good but slow due to the crowd.
Casual food, fun atmosphere and very friendly, accommodating staff. Honestly they went out of there way to serve us, never had to ask for a refill it came before I even realized I needed one. The hostess was extremely friendly, made suggestions and even went out of her way to check in on our experience as we were leaving. Our waitress was great, made sure everything was perfect.
I just loved the hospitality here, keep it up!
You can't order off the regular menu until 11am. They were out of all beignets, which is a good portion of the much smaller brunch menu.
The staff that were working tried their best but the restaurant was understaffed on all fronts for a holiday. The management ( whom I never saw) should ensure that a location that is open for the holiday be overstaffed and reduce the force if needed . Some people waited over an hour for a table due to the lack of servers and kitchen staff.
Confusion from the beginning, we were seated right away, but had to ask for a server, but the bartender (Elvira) stepped in nicely, because of her the evening was salvaged. The wife and I had the salmon with the brisket Mac and cheese, both of our meals were cold and the salmon was undercooked, the kitchen did correct my wife's meal. We had the beignet bites as appetizer, and they were very good.
This was one of the few restaurants open on Christmas day, should I expect better, because it was Christmas?
Christmas Day
Quick fast and accommodating. Food was good, but not great. Noise was moderate but ok for kids. All in all we would come back if our favorites are booked solid.
Everything was great will come back again
WOEFULLY understaffed on a Sunday morning game day. We sat for 25 minutes without even being acknowledged by the wait staff. After 25 minutes, we left and went across the street for brunch. The food and service are normally very good - service desperately needs improvement!
Excellent version of an old fashioned!
Great atmosphere, great food and our server Troy exceeded all of our expectations. He was extremely attentive and friendly. Will visit again.
Sunday for the Saints game.
Everything was good.
Prob could have used 1 more server on the floor.
Getting some items and getting the check
Took a bit longer than it should.
Overall a fun good time.
Really good food, charcoaled oysters close to Drago’s. Service a tad slow
We wanted to eat somewhere with a variety of dishes to choose from and with a nice vibe. Glad we discovered your restaurant! I’ll definitely stop by during my next NOLA vacation!!!
Food was delicious! Loved the beignets and Chicken and Waffles. Service was great!
The only really negative in my family’s visit was the seating. We were seated at a table that had a metal bench with no cushioning on one side and a bench with cushioned seat, but no back rest on the other side. We were a party of 6 adults with a beautiful baby also. It seems to me that the restaurant could have easily pulled 2 tables together and seated us on the nice padded chairs. The food was good and the server was very attentive. When we spend 200 dollars for a meal, we really would like to be a little more comfortable. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
The staff, drink, food everything just spectacular. Try the salmon or red fish st. Charles. Yummy
We made reservations on the same day due to a mix up with the place we were supposed to go to fell through. We were down for white linen night and had some company from out of town. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was, the crawfish beignets were amazing!!! I will definitely go back!!
I must say the Legacy Burger was prepared perfectly it was absolutely the best burger I ever eaten the portions were perfect meaning if your hungry you’ll be full. Never will forget my experience at your restaurant.
Family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) looking for casual and fun environment to enjoy good food and relax. We all ABSOLUTELY loved the vibe and decor—industrial and super fun. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, David, was super friendly and I loved how well he communicated w our children about their food options. They both got the waffle w bacon and loved it—who wouldn’t?! My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the chicken sandwich—both of which we thought were good, but not great. I also ordered one of their craft cocktails, the Saintsational, and it was really good. For dessert, we asked to move to one of their casual seating areas so the kids could play the tic-tac-toe game they had set up. We were easily accommodated and shared a plate of their bite-sized beignets—yummy! David continued to be very attentive and accommodating our entire stay.
Only inconvenience was that their bathroom is accessible by exiting the restaurant into the connected hotel. But at least it was a very nice clean one :-)
We would definitely return.
The waiter didn't have much knowledge. My shrimp was pretty fishy smelling, my daughters shrimp and grits was really salty, my husbands fried oysters were fried pretty hard. Very pricey and over rated
I visited the Tuesday after Jazz Fest, so it's understandable that the place was empty. I ended up sitting at the bar, and the service was adequate. The salmon was delicious, but the pecan toffee bread pudding was just okay. Overall, it's a decent restaurant, but there are too many good restaurants nearby to recommend this one.
Favorite go to place. Great variety menu with great food!
Really enjoyed this visit to Legacy Kitchen in the Warehouse District . Great service. Nice atmosphere and good, reasonably priced food. I had the mushroom and grilled onion burger. Cooked perfect and very juicy. Friend had salad and corn & shrimp bisque. Both were great. Will defiantly visit again
My friend and I were staying at the adjacent hotel; this was one of several meals we had at Legacy Kitchen Craft Bar over 4 days. We found the staff to be consistently friendly, courteous, helpful, and efficient. They were respectful of our dietary requirements, and the cook and kitchen staff followed through! Fresh comfort food well-prepared with great flavor and attractive presentation, true for multiple dishes we ordered. Comfortable, low-key vibe. Happy to call Legacy our "home base" place during our visit.
Staff issues
Asked hostess for a close table for friend with mobility issues; she tried to place us at a distant table though the place was almost empty.
Waiter asked us about dessert before we were all finished eating; same for giving us the check.
Food: chicken and ahi tuna salad were good. Shrimp tacos weren’t great and side order of beans seemed microwaved.
The food was really not good. The initial order for one guest had chips that tasted like they were days old. The fries were all small. It seemed like they were the bottom of a container. The service was slow.
It was empty for a Friday night... I assume everyone else already knows it's not very good.
Our server was struggling to keep up with his tables, we waited a long time for our food and then he took forever to get the check and wouldn’t split it for us. The food was okay, but felt very unorganized and Not very well managed. Would probably not go here again.
The food was fair, but not the creative things you find in other breakfast/ brunch places in NOLA. The service was terrible. Took forever to get a server. Took forever to get coffee. Coffee came with no creamer, no spoons. Had to ask for each of these, and it took about 10 minutes I would say. Food finally came. We three ordered beignets to share after breakfast, and those came in a decent amount of time. But they did not come with three plates. I finally got up and found someone to ask for them, since I could not find my serve. We got there at 9:30 am, and it wasn't crowded, so I don't know what the issue was. Maybe training new staff?
This is my second time at Legacy Kitchen and unfortunately wasn't as great of an experience as the last time I was there. The menu online was different than in person, which isn't a dealbreaker but was part of how we based our decision to go there. Also, service was very slow despite the fact that it was pretty empty. The waitress kept forgetting to bring us things we asked for and couldn't answer any of our menu related questions.
The food was good, and prices are reasonable and the place has awesome ambiance, but service was disappointing.
We were able to get a reservation last minute on New Year’s Eve which should have been an indicator of what to expect. Atmosphere was decent but food was not good. Bland and boring. The one thing my kids really wanted was ribs and they were out of them so they got a “ribeye” which was a fatty sirloin at best. My chicken had no taste and the fried part just fell off the breast as soon as I picked it up. We would not go back.
If you’re not from NOLA don’t bother with this establishment, there are much better, more affordable places to dine. The food wasn’t bad, but genuinely mediocre. The service and tea was good, and I’m glad I didn’t waste a dinner here.
Yummy food and great service. Really good bloody Mary’s before the game!
