Chef Emil Oliva has curated a menu that celebrates Peruvian cuisine in an authentic yet not traditional way using nikkei techniques, chifa recipes, criollo traditions, spanish and Italian influences. We invite you to experience different spaces in our restaurant. We have the greenhouse for a nice cozy space filled with plants, perfect for larger and private parties as well. Our ceviche bar where guests are able to have a much more personable experience with the chefs and the food. A Pisco bar full of talented bartenders curating amazing cocktails. Our dining room, exciting, busy, warm, and full of life. We also offer shaded front patio with a busy street and a covered back patio experience with beautiful trees surrounding us. Our group of four had one of the best experiences eating out in San Antonio at Leche de Tigre. The options for ceviches, Piquéos, Tiraditos and Fuertes were plentiful and varied so that one member of our party who was gluten free had enough to choose from. We had difficulty selecting 6 plates o share but we decided on 2 ceviches, each fresh and full of the Leche de Tigre citrus flavor. The anticuchos, Escebeche, Arroz con Mariscos s, Pulpo al olivo did not let us down. The Flan and Helado de Lucina had more flavor flan or vanilla has a right to have. We thank our waitress for helping us make our selections for our first outing. We won’t need help for our next outing because we’ll just go down the list until we’ve tried everything!

This was our 2nd time at Leche. We had reservations. We were seated at the bar next to the boyfriend of the bartender. She was preoccupied with him most of the time. Jordan did tell us about the menu and was helpful with selecting food items but then it was all about the boyfriend and the many employees behind the bar. At one point, Jordan and boyfriend had a back and forth about what they were doing later that night. It was not pleasant to witness that. We had to get attention from another bartender to get a drink. It was so loud in the restaurant! Ido have to say that the food was good. We will return but not sit inside or at the bar next time.

Truly a gem you wouldn’t expect to find in San Antonio. Such an amazing Peruvian food restaurant that we take all our friends and family to. As our friends who have been to Peru say, “it’s like I’ve been transported back to Peru”. Cebiches (ceviche) is a must.
