I would not say the food was horrible but definitely not good. The scallops were supposed to be sea scallops but were the size of a nickel. More like a bay scallop, and this was on one of the "specials". There was only a handful of patrons, but we waited about an hour for our food. Thankfully we had wine. We all agreed McDonalds would have been better. We will not go back.

This was undoubtedly one of the worst meals we have ever had. The waiter started off by offering to cover our wine glasses with napkins to keep the fruit flies away , and it just got worse from there. Food was mediocre at best. Service was slow. Save yourself from a bad experience and go to any one of a number of better restaurants in the area.

My wife and I both order different meals from the separate “Specials” menu. They were special alright. Both meals were severely overcooked, under flavored, and not until the bill came did we find out that these “Specials” were higher priced than anything on the regular menu. (There were conspicuously no prices on the Specials menu). To add insult to injury, the service was very infrequent, the drinks were expensive and mediocre, and the restaurant was about 80 degrees with flies constantly invading our table. The weather in our area was low 70’s and overcast at the time, and clearly the restaurant has no A/C. We had eaten here a couple other times over a year ago and had good experiences both times. Not sure what happened, but we won’t be dining there again.

We love Italian food and Leader Block lives up to our expectations every time. We always start with the delicious bruschetta and I always go back to Rigatoni Bolognese. My husband had the salmon, said it was perfect. Others had rave reviews for the Fettuccine Alfredo. We will be back. Best Italian bistro. A sparkling diamond in Ferndale WA.

We had a very nice meal for a birthday celebration. Both the specials and the regular menu items were very good. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. It was a quiet Tuesday night, just a few tables, so it felt even more private.

We absolutely loved our dinner. We were a party of six and were out to enjoy our time. The staff took very good care of us and we did not feel rushed. The owner visited our table several times throughout the night to make recommendations and and ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Well done Leader Block. We will be back.

After living in Europe for nearly 40 years (some of it inItaly), we finally found a restaurant that has the old world feeling along with outstanding food. The staff is well trained and checks on patrons often or see that every need is met. Robert and Roberto, owners, know how to do things right. We will return frequently and highly recommend this establishment for Italian food lovers!!!!!! Tom, Bowen Island,BC.

Great tasting food and good service. The manager introduced himself as well which was nice. Areas of improvement are the presentation of the restaurant — there were boxes of water and alcohol and misc. items stacked along the wall, exposed to customer's. It looked very sloppy and unprofessional. We were asked which type of water we wanted (regular or sparkling) but not informed that the water was $8 or that it cost anything; generally you’re just giving water. I got sparkling and my husband got regular so I spent $16 on water! Lastly, the portions were rather small considering the prices which are a bit high, that was disappointing. The food tasted delicious though!

We have had great meals here and they have ample variety of wine available at reasonable prices. A mixup on the soup this time and had to get the bill corrected for a returned meal. Atmosphere is pleasant and like having a close place nearby.

We were excited about trying out LB but left saying we would not probably go back unless it’s decorated nicely for the holidays. This was our first trip there and the staff put us in what seemd to be a storage room. I looked at drink boxes, a seemingly discarded fan and a pile of discarded table cloths behind a too smalls screen for my entire meal. Disappointing. When we left, we saw a much more exciting and festive room which was much more “inspiring “. I may have come away with a different impression had we been sat there. But, we were not so I left disappointed and felt the food was not a good value.
