We had the chateaubriand offer at half price on Monday. Beautifully cooked ,excellent sauces . Excellent value for money. Duck in cabbage starter also superb . Well thought out wine selection by the glass . Highly recommend.

I ordered two set lunch menus, which were reasonably tasty for the price. However, we were very disappointed with the seafood platter. It cost £34 for two people to share, but the portion was extremely small—just two langoustines, two oysters, three prawns, and some clams and mussels. The website menu also listed whelks, but they were missing from the actual menu on the day. When the platter arrived, the ice underneath was already half-melted, clearly indicating it had been sitting out for some time rather than being freshly prepared. Most concerning, the prawns were very unfresh—the meat was mushy and soft, a clear sign of poor quality. For the price and considering the restaurant positions itself as fine dining, the quality and quantity were simply not acceptable. To make matters worse, the restaurant advertised a 15% discount if we downloaded and printed a voucher. However, we couldn’t access the voucher online. We explained the situation to the staff, who acknowledged the issue but still refused to honor the discount. This made the promotion feel misleading—more like a trick than a genuine offer. Overall, the experience felt dishonest and disappointing. The food quality was subpar, and the value for money just wasn’t there.

We always enjoy Le Vacherin, but yesterday evening was special. By mistake we both ordered the cheese souffle and beetroot sorbet to start. Outstanding, it was totally delicious. And the cheapest hors d'oevre on the menu too, amazing. Can't recommend it highly enough. The rest of the meal was up to its usual standard, of course. Thank you Le Vacherin for another lovely evening.

Booked a table at Le Vacherin when back in London as we always used to enjoy our visits when we lived locally. Not disappointed at all, if anything the whole experience was better than before. Great food and friendly service. Thank you to everyone!
