Lots of good things to say about cocktails and appetisers but not my main course. Seemed experimental and was kind of boring and bean heavy and under spiced. The sturgeon actually was kind of bitter and I couldn’t finish it.

We had a good time at Le Poisson Bleue with our friends. The service was excellent but the food was a little too salty for some of the dish. We had to return one of the plate as it was too salty.

One of the best dinner I've had in all of Ottawa. The food was outstanding, the staff was amazing and the overall feel of this place is charming. We had a wonderful time there and plan on coming back !

Another excellent meal at Le Poisson Bleu. Great cocktails and wine selection. Delicious focaccia. Perfect oysters, a couple of them topped with crème fraîche and caviar (yum!), grilled sea bass for two with spaetzel, kale and roasted squash. We always get this. Slightly different every time depending on the fish and seasonal veg. It’s so good! That said we should really try the cassoulet one of these days - looks so interesting. Finished with a duo of lovely eclairs. This is such a good spot for a night out. We were glad to see it was busy with other diners who braved the snowstorm to enjoy this gem.

New Year's Eve dinner was mostly strange, strong cocktails and small hors d'oeuvres and not enough food to absorb the alcohol. We asked for more to eat, even bread o risotto, and I had to order more from the same menu as there was no other food available according to the server. We ordered 12 oysters and 10 shrimps above the New Year's menu and did not have the last course and drink pairing as we had enough alcohol and it was fish with chocolate sauce, which wasn't enticing ,and our bill was $475 for 2 people plus an $80 tip to be polite. I also told the server twice, and Open Table, that it was my wife's birthday and it was ignored. Food: 1/5 | Service: 2/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5

My only improvement would be to increase the lighting over the dining area a little, it was somewhat dark for my taste.

Appetizers and mains were delicious. Desert menu was not the usual items, and very good. Great wine pairing suggestions. Service was personable and attentive.
