Everyone needs to experience this place at least once in their lives. The tasting course is delicious. Every flavor was better than the next! Wow! Well friggin' done.

The dinner at le Pigeon was superb! We chose the omnivore set menu that was curated beautifully. They offer a wine pairing option which amplified the experience and tastes of the food. The service was excellent and our main waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the various wines that were selected to accompany the meal. I will definitely be back my next trip to Portland. Thank you!

Fantastic dining experience, celebrating a birthday. Super appreciative they were able to accommodate a preference for no cheese. Enjoyed the additional supplemental course with foie gras, which was delicious, but the regular menu would’ve been great too. Wine pairing was also great, just wish I had a menu with all the wines to refer back to, as one of us had to make the drive home. Lovely meal and we look forward to dining there again as the menu changes, along with the seasons.

What a wonderful experience! We sat at the chef’s table and had the classic wine pairing option with dinner. Jeff and the staff were amazing. Most excellent, I highly recommend.

Compared to the November menu, the July one felt like a bit of a step down in both food quality and overall thoughtfulness. The standout for us was definitely the shrimp and grits, it had such a cohesive, elegant umami and everything on the plate came together beautifully. Unfortunately, the other courses didn’t quite hit the same mark. Many felt like a collection of ingredients that didn’t have much chemistry, more like elements placed together rather than a fully harmonized dish. The steelhead, for example, didn’t leave the same impression as the cod from last time, and the final chicken dish was quite dry, especially in contrast to the rich, memorable sweetbread course from November. Within the same dish, the roasted pork also leaned dry and had a strong, slightly off-putting pork flavor. We also noticed that some of the carb portions felt more like filler than a thoughtful part of the composition.

The wine can chicken was overcooked and very tough to eat, and the red wine pairing that went with it tasted a bit off. I didn't want to complain then as the service was generally pretty friendly, it was date night, and the grits and strawberry sherbet were excellent. Overall it was decent but I'm not sure it was worth the expense.

The food and drink experience was absolutely amazing! The servers were very knowledgeable about each dish from the tasting menu and wine. Each had an extensive description of the dish and wine pairing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Portland!

Party of three had a wonderful chef menu experience. Wine list is carefully drafted and the place had perfect ambience for a quiet and enjoyable dinner. Most dishes were a hit except one which may be attributed to taste except that all three parties were unimpressed with that one dish. We informed the restaurant later via email since they requested feedback. Definitely recommended for French cuisine lovers.

Our favorite place for special occasions and 41st wedding anniversary certainly qualified. Memorable as always. Each course was picture worthy and tasted even better than it looked. We opted for the reserve wine pairings. We really appreciated that the servers took time to describe each course and wine selection. Bonus fun was the couple sitting next to us was also celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary!
