The food here is excellent, and the wine list is small but filled with good-value decent wines. I’ve eaten here about 5 times, and am always amazed that it’s not terribly busy. I guess because it’s upstairs inside the Tank Stream Hotel, so invisible to passers-by. I’ve tasted the pork belly, beef cheeks, steak tartare, duck and scallops. They are all above-standard and in the $30 price range. Highly recommended.

Excellent and attentive service. Food average. New Zealand whitebait entree - batter overwhelmed what should be one of the world's outstanding dining experiences. Main courses a little better.

Beautiful modern restaurant with an intimate atmosphere. I ordered the salmon with a side of sweet potato and both were outstanding. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the meal and the location. I will 100% eat here again on my next visit when staying at the lovely Tank Stream hotel.

3 of us went for a pre concert meal. 2 of the mains were fine but not outstanding but my steak was in part inedible. The sirloin arrived in 2 lumps one was tough but edible but the other had the consistency of rubber. The Creme Brule we had for desert was however good. So overall a very mixed bag.
