Exquisite food and a welcoming environment are the embodiment of what you'll discover in a meal at Le Parisien. Each dish is skilfully and meticulously prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients and elegant presentations. Indulge in the seafood platter for two, or our locally famous pepper steak . We aim to source as much local produce as possible and the Wagyu eye fillet is MSA graded with a high marble score.

    Very disappointing. Took a Melbourne friend to lunch, I'd suggested it was worth the drive down here. It wasn't. The main chicken dish, chicken on barley with broad beans was exactly that. Bland. Talentless. Tasteless. My 85 year old mother in law could have produced this but would never have served it to a guest, or family for that matter. No bread provided. Salt and pepper had to be requested and was absolutely necessary to add some taste to the chicken dish. Expensive, we wouldn't have minded if the food had been worth it, embarrassing because it most definitely wasn't.

    Would not recommend. Food was below average. Incorrect meal brought out, husband had finished his by the time mine had arrived, meal was below average for the high price. Then offered 1 drink to make up for the mistake. Over priced, food nothing like pictures on the website. Waitress didn't care at all. Because of the experience, we have cancelled our Christmas function that was booked in. I would not want to be delivering that same experience to others at all. Not a fine dining experience. Very disappointed. Website had pictures of beautiful food, very deceiving.

    Food was quite good, but service was well below par! Our water glasses were never topped up without having to ask, and our wine was topped up by us each time! We had to request a second bottle as the staff certainly didn’t check to see if we needed anything. We were given a complimentary nibblie which was delicious, but the plate sat on the table until after we finished entree. The staff didn’t remember what we ordered, hence steak knife given to wrong oerson and food likewise! When walking back from the bathroom a kitchen staff member was descending the back stairs, whilst having a conversation with someone else, language not good, don’t expect to hear the “f” word at that venue. Bill paid prior to leaving, and as we left, no one said good bye or thank you? We descended the stairs looking at each other in bewilderment and surprise. The restaurant was not busy, so no excuse for very average service. Expect a much higher standard from a restaurant with this good reputation. I have been several times before but unsure whether I would return!

    We were given a voucher as a wedding gift.....enjoyed the meal before the restaurant changes hands to a new owner.

    The location and setting is amazing. The waiting staff are very attentive, polite and friendly. The food was good, but not great compared to a recent Melbourne dining experience. The food was overpriced for what we received. A lovely night overall but won't be going back in a hurry.

    The reason we came to the restaurant that night was that our son Craig started his apprentice with John Paul Temple and thought it would be nice to come back for a visit to the restaurant as he has been working overseas for many years as an Executive Chef in 5 Star Hotels and it worked out that he would be home that night before flying out the next day to the Cook Islands starting a new position as the Resort Manager at 2 resorts over there.

    The meals were nice, but not fabulous, especially because the price is a little elevated, one expects fabulous. The service was very slow. Even to get us our first bottle of wine, I had to get up to order it for a second time. Staff are very friendly, though. In general, a little overpriced for the quality of the food and service.
