   I am frustrated as I booked a table for my friends and I to meet here for lunch online. The booking was successful - but when we turned up the restaurant was closed! No one told me this was going to happen. Very frustrating.

   I was told that the place was under new management and no longer checked their Open Table bookings. Didn't end up dining at the place. Need a 'Report' button on restaurant listings

   I won't go there again. I have visited this restaurant 3 or 4 times previously and booked via their website which was confirmed by email. However when we arrived they were closed, they made no apology about the fact that we had a reservation. I can recommend the Greek restaurant across the road called Vasis, very good food and service !!

   The food was ok (I did not find it as salty as other reviewers complained for) and just enough innovative to make it intriguing. Our waitress was very attentive, kind and friendly. The restaurant was basically empty (it was us and another table) which is strange given the nice food and setting. The tables are far too small for the plates and that can get very annoying at one point. It is worth a visit if in the area.

   My friends wanted to try a little Middle Eastern cuisine, and as I had visited Le Menar a few months previously - and had enjoyed my time there. I thought let's give it try. We were given a nice large table on the top floor, which was a space all to ourselves. The waitress was very attentive and offer to let us try the electronic shisha for free, we decided not to go for it as it was £25 for one pipe! A little steep I thought, and not near as good to the traditional smoking pipe! I had actually forgotten exactly how salty the food is!!! I don’t think I will be dining here again.

   I took clients here for lunch. We were the only table in there but the menu was extensive and interesting and service was good. The chef came and checked on us a couple of times too. The food was excellent - really delicious, good sized portions and well presented. Flat bread was provided free of charge. Seems to be more of an evening place, they might benefit from doing a set lunch menu to attract local workers, but would definitely recommend.

   We went to Le Menar for a catch up dinner. It was very quiet in there. We were given a table at the front which was not ideal as it was cold when the front door was left open. Food wise, it was nice but nothing special.

   Other than the decent service there's nothing to recommend here. First off - the seating might be authentic but is all wrong for comfortable eating - low banquettes and chairs, tiny tin tray style tables that the various plates balanced precariously on, we were hunched over trying not to drop anything in our laps. We had 3 tray tables to spread the mezze and plates for 4 people, one decent table would have made more sense! Our starter was pleasant mezze affair but nothing standout, and the main course mixed grill had nice lamb chops but everything else was inedible. Way too much salt but also some meat had a weird taste, very off putting and all four of us felt the same so it wasn't down to personal taste. The place was dead - this was just off Charlotte street on a lovely Friday evening in April. Says it all really. Could be so much better if they addressed these issues.

    Delicious food and attentive service. It was very empty, which was a shame. Not sure why as the food is incredible.
