Le Jardinier is a unique and refined restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli located in The Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Rooted in timeless French approach, Chef Verzeroli has created a menu where plants play a prominent role: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, and greens are complemented by wild and sustainable fish with local Texas meats. All our breads are gluten-free and baked in house.

Le Jardinier's light-filled space will evoke a feeling of relaxed-luxury and incorporate custom art pieces with outdoor dining set within an Isamu Noguchi-designed sculpture garden.

My experience at Le Jardinier in the Houston Fine Arts Museum was unfortunately quite disappointing. We opted for the tasting menu, hoping for a delightful culinary journey, but the execution fell flat from the start. The pacing of the tasting menu was off, with long waits between courses that disrupted the flow of the meal. The lobster was overcooked and chewy, a disappointing start to the evening. The lamb, which should have been a highlight, was also overcooked and lacked flavor, leaving much to be desired. Service was another letdown. We had to repeatedly ask for our waiter to clear the table between courses, which added to the disjointed experience. To make matters worse, the place settings were incorrect when our food arrived, indicating a lack of attention to detail. One of our party members has a gluten sensitivity and made it known when we arrived. Despite this, they mistakenly served gluten-containing bites, which was not only careless but potentially harmful. To attempt to make amends for their errors, the manager offered us wine in place of a course they had messed up. We declined, but they still brought the wine and proceeded to mix up the next course as well, showing a lack of coordination and communication among the staff. Ultimately, the disappointing quality of the food and the mishandled service forced us to leave before finishing the tasting menu. It's a shame because with some improvements in execution and attention to detail, Le Jardinier could potentially offer a much better dining experience. Perhaps they could benefit from retraining their staff, especially when it comes to preparing lamb and lobster. Adding to the disappointing experience at Le Jardinier in the Houston Fine Arts Museum, it was evident that the kitchen was overwhelmed, despite the restaurant being less than half full. The connected restaurant seemed to take priority, which detracted from the focus and quality of service at Le Jardinier. The kitchen's struggle was appar

Best meal we have had in Houston. Very course was a beautiful and amazingly delicious. The service is outstanding. The ambience is simple and as I looked around I wondered what makes this restaurant so special, it’s like all the other restaurants we’ve been to. The first course opened my eyes to what makes this restaurant different. We have had our share of over priced mediocre meals, this was not the case. Start to finish by far one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.

Le Jardinier is an utterly unique restaurant concept for Houston. Housed in the newest wing of the Museum of Fine Arts, it fulfills every goal that was established for it. The dining room is gorgeous -- just the right size -- has a world-class view to outdoor sculptures and showcases the vibrancy of the museum campus with its many visitors. Service is state-of-the-art and genial, the food is (no surprise) artistically presented and delicious. It's all in all world-class and not to be missed. Great for special occasions!

The food was exquisite! The Waygu Bavette is a Top 5 steak anywhere in the country and the Carolina Gold Risotto with crab and preserved lemon should be in the risotto hall of fame.
