At Le Coq & fils, we come to peck, yap, and celebrate beautiful French heritage poultry breeds. A 100% poultry centric and bistronomique Cuisine for fine beaks! A unique experience, signed by Chef Antoine Westermann, for poultry meat lovers.

We are talking here about high level sustainability, pure poultry breeds, good genes, strong relations with committed farmers and producers engaged in animal welfare and a campaigner Chef.

More than a rotisserie, it is a tribute to poultry that begins with plenty of hors d'oeuvres to share.

Before being roasted our fowls are slowly poached in broth according to Chef Antoine Westermann's exclusive technique. They are served whole to be shared by two, three, four or more, accompanied by garlic confit, jus, home fries, mashed potatoes with chicken broth, Mac & cheese suggestions saisonnières. As it is very vegetarian friendly, Le Coq & fils offers a large selection of veggie hors d’œuvres as well, a must try.

    Too $$$ and too loud and food just ok It was my 75 birthday w my Family of 6 and they seated us in a back room at a long table with other loud people who made dinner impossibly noisy and uncomfortable! The table was long and there were 3 different groups making loud conversation very unpleasant Food only ok and very $$$ for what it was.

    You can imagine how sad we are while reading your comment, we ask ourselves: is it really us? We understand your disappointment. A birthday is a very special day, and we do remember that you made your reservation in advance. Expensive is not who we are, we are known for having fare prices for the quality we are serving here, heritage poultry breeds slow cooked in a broth before getting roasted, veggies, potatoes, sugar, salt, all are sourced carefully, thoughtfully. But we totally get it, you did not expect a crowd around you, and we do apologize. We would have so much love to make you happy on you birthday. We are deeply sorry.     Restaurant states to notify them of food allergies prominently on their menu. I notified my server I have a dairy allergy and went over every item I order to make sure it cleared it. He confirmed everything I ordered was dairy free. For my final dish, dessert, I ordered a chocolate sorbet and lime sorbet. He brought me vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream. I took a bite of what I assumed was lime sorbet when I immediately realized it was vanilla ice cream. I immediately spit it out into my napkin and notified the server and manager/host. But to my chagrin, the level of professionalism of how it was handled by management was embarrassing for the establishment. You didn’t just mess up an order, you put someone’s life in jeopardy and acted if it could be fixed with serving a new dessert. Still in shock about the low level allergy hazard response. I ran to the bathroom trying to rinse it from my mouth. Your management handled that awfully. I give a little more credit to the server because he sought me out after I came out of the bathroom to send his apologies. We left without management acknowledging it. Just awful and unacceptable

    Be assured that we are terribly shamed and sorry while reading you note, this is really not who we are, team has a written list about all allergies, related to each dish, and is trained by management regularly on that very sensitive subject. We want to give all client and even more client with allergies the BEST experience they can have with us. Human being are full of surprises even during exercising is job, why this had to happen we do not understand. Our team is very trustworthy, and for almost all of them are with us since our opening in 2012! We do have a low level of turn over. We again deeply apologize we would have so much love to make you have the BEST experience with us. Respectfully from our entire Le Coq & fils team.

    Very frustrating experience Made a reservation, got the confirmation, made the journey to the restaurant and when got there I was told they did not have any table available When i showed the reservation, they were clearly uncomfortable and blamed a potential problem in the reservation system (which is something that they should take care instead of telling the client that there is nothing they could do)

    Dear RobertB thank you for sharing your experience with us, of course we totally understand how frustrating it is when you arrive in a restaurant and they do not find your reservations and we deeply very apologize for that. We should not have shown you that we had a problem and act like everything was normal, because this is what hospitality is all about! This is not who we are...     Very friendly staff and accommodating. We were visiting from NY and so happy to have found this gem. Food was amazing. High recommended and will come back again when in Paris.

    We dine here every time we are in Paris. We also enjoyed Le coq rico in NYC prior to closing. Of course the chicken is heavenly, with sides that accompany the meal that are also delicious. Highly recommended.

AOC Bresse Chicken you are right is the most pricey one on the menu, but we have also 4 other incredible breeds on the menu you should try next time! Also our fowls are slowly growing birds average of 145 days, and we work directly with our farmers, also they get all slowly poached in a broth before getting roasted.
