   I have never had a bad experience at Le Colonial and this time was no exception. We brought our son and his girlfriend, my son was so impressed with his experience, chopsticks on the floor..voila a new pair appeared! He took a bite of the duck and in mid sentence he stopped and shook his head to say it was the best duck he has ever tasted. Also loved our waiter that evening, he was efficient and his treatment of us was above board.

   Tasty, authentic Indochinese cuisine in an intimate space evocative of French Indochina (warm woods, French doors, lots of bars with top-shelf liquors, lots of servers and staff, etc.). The food and service were uniformly excellent. The house cocktails were a little weird. No problem carrying on a conversation. The chocolate soufflé was perfect and the coffee was very good. The main bathrooms are up a flight of stairs, but there is one available on the main floor. Valet parking is available (and recommended, in this neighborhood).

   Dinner was an absolutely wonderful experience. My mom was in town for a milestone birthday so we had a group of 8. We ended up in a small room off the dining area for our group and it could not have been more perfect. Our server was wonderful and so helpful. We enjoyed many of the dishes and left talking about what a wonderful birthday dinner celebration we had. Thank you!

   We love Le Colonial! We went many times when it was in NYC before it closed. We were thrilled to learn that there was a Chicago location and the ambience, food and service were first rate. It is a must go!

   Le Colonial is where my wife and i go when we want to celebrate for special occasions or to reward ourselves from our busy schedules. The food is ALWAYS exceptional!! Service is great. We spend three weeks or so per year in Fort Myers Beach. Le Colonial has a location in Naples, FL as well where we go when we are in FL. Both locations spoil you with the food, service and ambience. I would highly recommend Le Colonial for any special occasion or a romantic date night.

   We had a great time here for Valentine’s Day and we were very impressed with the food and food quality. We would definitely come back here again for date nights.

    The food here is good, but we were suprised to find a mandatory pris fix which had almost no vegetarian options (one of the reasons we decided to come) and imo was quite overpriced for the value compared to similar tiered restaurants in the city - it felt like a bit of a scam. I’ve had some great meals here but this was not the experience we were expecting so I recommend that diners be careful.
