   Attractive restaurant with good food. The BIG drawback was thé maître d’/owner who gave us a condescending lecture with much head shaking about booking our table late in the day, and then another lecture about the need to leave a tip for his underpaid staff which Americans don’t understand. We have lived in Paris on and off for over 20 years. Left no tip, and will not rush back.

   We arrived about 10 minutes early for our 7 pm reservation we made through open table. A lady who presented herself as the owner told us they did not accept reservations before 7:30 pm and had nothing available. I showed her my reservation and she started lying to me that her manager took several early reservations without her knowing about it. This was a lie. The truth is that she only had a couple of 7 pm reservations and she decided to not open for them. We spent 31E on a taxi and we could not find other reservations in the area. Now that I read the one star reviews I see this happens frequently. I do not understand why open table would risk their brand by continuing to take reservations for this restaurant.

   The food was not good and the prentation was awful. Four scallops plopped around the edges of mashed potatoes. Meat that was very tough----and srly service. The first glass of wine was corked and we had to argue that it be taken off the bill. Not the meal or service we expected.

   Le Basilic c'est mon restaurant préféré dans tout Paris. Le service est formidable et la nourriture est parfaite. L'ambiance est le classique de Paris et le propriétaire est le meilleur hôte que j'ai rencontré en 2006 lorsque mon serveur vivait à Paris.

    Staff was really nice and they spoke English which it make it easy for us because we don’t speak French. The food was great but I don’t think is really valued for the money. Great atmosphere and lovely decoration.

    Cercavamo ristorante con cucina francese e prezzi abbordabili..invece…Scarsità di piatti francesi, menu prettamente turistico con piatti italiani e prezzi troppo alti. Non ci torneremo.

    We felt like a local. The food was outstanding. I had the scallops with truffled mash potatoes my daughter had truffle risotto. Both dishes were gorgeous and delicious. If I lived in Paris I would eat here every week. I do recommend calling the restaurant directly the open table reservation did not go through. They were gracious and accommodated us anyway.

    I recommend you check reviews from other web sites as Open Table has a significantly higher overall rating than most. The service and food were terrible. Even if this were 1/3 the price it would’ve be worth it. The seafood literally stank like old fish. The meat was cooked to dry, chalky, inedible chunks. The side dish was cold. We had to chase down the wait staff three times just to get service of any kind, and the place was mostly empty. We actually felt sick.

    We arrived for our 9PM booking, the restaurant was not aware of our booking as it was done via OpenTable… something they have tried to cancel for 6 months. Not the restaurants fault, they gladly gave us a table. OpenTable have also mentioned that this is restaurant is only ££, but when checking the menu we could not find a main meal for less than €35… Unfortunately we had to leave, hungry and disappointed by the OpenTable service

    They did not recognize my reservation through open table, host saying she doesn’t receives those kind of reservation, that I should always call directly to restaurant , she won’t give me the table I wanted

    From the moment we arrived we were so well looked after. The attention to detail was impeccable and very much appreciated. The food was outstanding and I will definitely recommend to all my friends. The snails melted in your mouth and the salmon was delicious. My fiancee who had the chicken said it was amazing and the cut was special in a bed of creamy gravy.

    Nous n’avons pas pu diner car lorsque nous sommes arrivées à 23:30 , on nous a dit que la cuisine était fermée alors que nous avions réservé à 23:30. Le patron s’est excusé mais l’application n’est pas à jour avec ce restaurant. Tant pis, nous ne pouvons donc pas noter cet établissement.
