I’ve been a huge fan of Lady Baker since first tasting her breads and pastries two years ago. They are outstanding and, for people who know bread, they are the real deal. With LB Eatery & Wine, Paula has done it again. Everything we ate was exceptional. The lima bean starter and beet salad were excellent. Don’t be put off by the idea of lima beans. These are not the stuff you hated as a kid. As for mains, the pizzas are really special. We had pepperoni with hot honey. We also got to try the special of the week, which was pineapple and prosciutto. It was nothing at all like the sad Hawaiian pizzas covered with pineapple circles and ham. This was refined. I can’t wait to try the stracciatella/mortadella pie. Even better, and I’m still thinking about it, was the pappardelle with sausage ragù. Simple, but superb and comforting. Desserts were also really special. Our favorite was the Riz au Lait — rice pudding like no other. I know that I’m using a lot of superlatives in this review, but the experience deserves every one of them. This is a special place for an exceptional meal.

I took my wife and kids. Loved the ambiance and the whole set up. They took great care of us. The waiter was always available and helped us choose our dishes. Everyone working was so excited to be there. It just felt nice to be there.

We had a great time. The entire staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was very tasty, well prepared and with attention to presentation.

Knowing this is restaurant is recently opened and they are still working out some kinks, overall it was a good experience. The side on the bread experience were too sweet, as was the bread, suggest an olive teppenade, and don’t make the other spreads too sweet, since the bread always is. Some dishes need a little seasoning, pasta dishes sauces need a little more consistency on the sauces (a little too thin). The deserts were good, would say the “riz au lait” (twist in rice pudding) could use a little more cinamon and the same for the vanilla sauce in the bread pudding, the sauce was too thin and a little tasteless, towards the end the bread pudding was a little dry, maybe serve a little more sauce. Again, for the 2nd day of operation, it was very good.
